    I recently bought some hemp protein to add to my morning oatmeal, along with some honey, coconut milk, tumeric and organic peanut butter. I only bought hemp protein as there was no whey protein, the stuff I normally buy. Is hemp protein ok? What are people's thoughts?

    • @balancemyhormones
      @balancemyhormones  Рік тому +2

      There is no evidence to suggest that hemp protein increases estrogen levels in men.
      As a plant-based protein source, hemp protein is generally considered to be a healthy option. It is a good source of essential amino acids, which are the building blocks of proteins and are important for muscle building and repair. Hemp protein is also a good source of fiber, which can help with digestion and can help lower cholesterol levels. In addition, hemp protein is a good source of minerals such as iron, magnesium, and zinc, which are important for maintaining overall health.
      However, it is important to note that hemp protein is not a complete protein, meaning it does not provide all the essential amino acids in adequate amounts. It is typically recommended to consume a variety of protein sources in order to meet your body's nutritional needs.

    To see a reducement in free testorstrone from soy you need to have an extreme consumption of soy product . For example 54 cups of soy milk.
    Otherwise, no studies have found in normalized quantities a reducement of it

      May be, but the biggest issue with soy proteins or any plant-based, for that matter, is lack of absorption by the body. Your body only absorbs 10-20% of most plant-based proteins, the rest goes to the toilet. Just not much bang for your buck.

      @@NoName-fx9zi you talk about bio availability which is another topic though and yes i do agree with you about that.

    Be good to have the info as a child or indeed adults practicing it with their children in younger years. However only those actually interested in the issues of this are aware of the facts . It’s clearly been hidden and many lies by the food producers

      You have to be aware and a savvy consumer when it comes to optimising your health especially testosterone levels. It’s unfortunately difficult to do as there are so many endocrine disrupters in both our food supply but also in our medicines.

    Being vegan is probably the worst thing you can do for your health. Go animal based and nothing processed! Your food will be boring AF but you will thrive 💪 add some super HRT protocol and you’ll feel and look amazing. Cheers

    I'd love to see the relevant scientific studies on which this arguments are made.
    For Example, the following meta Studie comes to other results:
    Jill M. Hamilton-Reeves; Gabriela Vazquez; Sue J. Duval; William R. Phipps; Mindy S. Kurzer; Mark J. Messina (2010). Clinical studies show no effects of soy protein or isoflavones on reproductive hormones in men: results of a meta-analysis. , 94(3), 0-1007. doi:10.1016/j.fertnstert.2009.04.038

      Soybeans and soy-based products, such as tofu, soy milk, and edamame, contain compounds called isoflavones that have estrogen-like effects in the body. Some research suggests that consuming large amounts of isoflavones may increase estrogen levels and potentially disrupt the endocrine system, but the evidence is mixed.
      A number of studies have found that consuming moderate amounts of soy-based products does not significantly affect estrogen levels or the endocrine system in healthy individuals. However, some research suggests that soy may have different effects in certain populations, such as postmenopausal women or men with prostate cancer.
      Overall, it is not clear whether soy significantly increases estrogen levels or disrupts the endocrine system in all individuals. More research is needed to fully understand the potential effects of soy on estrogen and the endocrine system.
