No, you'd have to realy on super tanky Pokemon with as many buffs and debuffs as possible and force the other Pokemon to damage themselves with Struggle or otherwise, and resort to Struggle yourself whenever absolutely necessary. It'd take much, much longer but I say it would be possible. At any case, it's not a PACIFIST run, if you are literally doing moves that deal damage on purpose. I mean, take Leech Seed for example... it deals damage on every turn, just like Poison status. The only difference is that it isn't called Poison and heals you a little bit too. Curse literally kills the other Pokemon. Using any move that causes Confusion status is forcing the opponent to damage themselves. I swear, every time I look up a Pacifist run, people always cheat and never get called out. @@hitmanHunter620

A young Zubat flew around Route 30 for many years, watching as Pokémon Trainers pass him by without a passing glance as they continued on their journeys to the far-off place known as the Pokémon League, but he never stopped thinking: "I'll be there someday, I can go the distance." And one day, he was met with a curious trainer who chose him for a peculiar team. At first, his dreams were dashed, as Zubat soon learned he was on a team being moulded for a pacifist style. But that didn't dampen his spirit, because he finally had his chance: "I won't look back, I can go the distance." Through the trials and tribulations, he and his teammates fell time and time again. "But I won't lose hope, 'till I go the distance, and my journey is complete." - He thought, soon becoming the unexpected linchpin of this team, as he grew and evolved; withstanding the mightiest foes like the incredible Dragonite. "Like a shooting star, I will go the distance, I don't care how far, I can go the distance." - No matter how perilous the journey became, the Zubat, who was left behind to rot pressed on, and was flying above the world that once seemed daunting and peerless to him as a mighty Crobat. And when faced with the ultimate challenge, with his friends beside him, he endured the ultimate battle and emerged victorious. Against all odds and expectations, the lost and lamenting Zubat emerged as a victorious and triumphant Croabt; the centre of a Champion Team who went the distance and beyond.
One thing that could've been really helpful for this run is the TM for Swagger, which can be found on the 5ht floor of the lighthouse. Didn't even realize this move existed before gen 4 because this move can be potentially incredibly powerful on a Pokemon with the capability to setup reflect and increase its defence stats. The best option that I've found is Mr. Mime in Gold and Silver, but you could probably do something similar with Defence Curl even if Reflect isn't as available as I would've liked. Mind you, if you wanna do something really cool on actual hardware, you could transfer Pokemon up with the Reflect TM and then teach it Barrier. Pokemon like Hypno would work really well for this because it also gets Amnesia

My plan if done in future Get hoppip after chickorita start(Not gonna be on final team) Get a haunter with this moveset: Curse, Protect, substitute, pain split. Make sure when doing a major battle it’s max HP is odd. Next team member: Smeargle: Ahh Sketch is gonna be abused here. Moveset: Spikes(Would use a pineco only knowing spikes and a wild Ditto to transform into said pineco), Spore(Same way Spikes will be learnt but give Smeargle an antisleep berry), Recover(Wild Ditto’s are really useful for this.), Leech Seed(Yes Wild Dittos will be abused a lot) Rest will be movesets built off of what current opponent is.

LOL Jrose this was such a creative run my friend, I LOVE IT! Also, was this a ''feel good'' run for you to pay back the AI for all the status effects it's given you over the years....Agatha lottery SO deserves this 🤣
Gen 2 was the stall generation. You can have competitively viable pokemon with no attacking moves.
Curse Blissey Curse Blissey
The most based generation and its not even close. Stall is the most hype Playstyle
Swagger and Screech Umbreon
@14:45 Gastly: "One Supersonic miss, ah ha ha! Two Supersonic misses, ah ha ha!"
I know we don't do the Count thing anymore, but Gastly literally has the fangs for it.
Crobat and jumpluff have always been my favorite gen 2 pokemon and I'm so very happy they have redemption!!!
Crobat is snotty (mouthy?) boy glow up.
Crobat is always the best though.
It's just like Gyarados. It finds its place in every single team, and end up being a top player every time.
I love the idea of this challenge in later gens. More status moves available + abilities that could lead to some interesting strategies but with the AI on the whole being much better.
These videos just keep getting crazier and crazier. I've always been interested in seeing how it would look to run like a full smogon stall team in game. I guess now i'll find out lol.
Stall teams aren't just "heal a shitload apply no pressure." A good stall player will be constantly gaining resources and applying pressure at the same time, so as to capitalise on your mistakes.
Back to back feature length jrose11 impossible challenge videos! You gotta love it!
Loving this frequent content
My plan if done in future
Get hoppip after chickorita start(Not gonna be on final team)
Get a haunter with this moveset: Curse, Protect, substitute, pain split. Make sure when doing a major battle it’s max HP is odd.
Next team member: Smeargle: Ahh Sketch is gonna be abused here. Moveset: Spikes(Would use a pineco only knowing spikes and a wild Ditto to transform into said pineco), Spore(Same way Spikes will be learnt but give Smeargle an antisleep berry), Recover(Wild Ditto’s are really useful for this.), Leech Seed(Yes Wild Dittos will be abused a lot)
Rest will be movesets built off of what current opponent is.
This is great! How long did you work on making this one?
Why didnt you use toxic?
1:04:35 This was genious! Your videos are amazing, I've seen each one of them, and after dozen of videos they can still surprise - it also proves how incredible the Pokemon games are
Crobat being a harbinger of Death here. Coming out at the end to herald the end of your opponent. Even easier when it could use protect and toxic
Thank you so much for all this wonderful content this month, particularly with the impossible challenges, you are amazing
47:13 "what about Bruno?"
*Insert "We don't talk about Bruno" song*
Month of JRose is the best advent calendar ever
Even without that thumbnail I instantly would have guessed that Jumpluff and not Meganium would be the main Grass type player here. Leech Seed, the powder moves and that 110 speed just make it the superior nuisance, especially in this generation.
Unbeliavable. Well done! I love Crobat, I always have it in every game possible.
What an amazing video. I'm really enjoying the month of JRose and the daily uploads. I know you worked really hard on these. It was a fun run, I didn't think there'd be enough time to beat Red, but wow does he suck in this game. Funny how you can beat him with Pokemon 30 levels or more lower. That Crobat is a legend. Really great strategy. You'd be a good stall player haha. Been enjoying the R/B solo runs too.
Jrose you are the KING of challenges! I literally screamed out loud when Crobat used Protect against Blastoise in the end!
I took a 3 month break from UA-cam and I come back to gems like this. Love it
I call this the “stop hitting yourself” run. Good footage jrose!
Bro, totally why Crobat is one of my favorite. Super simple design, but super versatile and strong.
When I was a kid playing red/blue, i always thought they did the bat dirty with final evolution Golbat... gold/silver ftw
My guy, you deserve a nice break after this. You rocked this. Amazing job! I'd never have had the patience to pull this off.
the daycare isnt real
btw, the amount of times this crobat clutched up in the runs most important battles as well as helping out massively early game while never even reaching level 40 is insane. massive props to that crobat.
This man needs a vacation. Idk how you have 30 videos ready to go with runs like this and weedle lol
Aw, I wish you had caught a Qwilfish (through a swarm) for Spikes! It would have helped with most of those 5-turn Curses and 9-turn Poisons/Leech Seeds. Loved the video!
Makes perfect sense that the friendship evolution made the clutch wins happen. The power of friendship!
Dude i'm so hyped that you've found a run to use Chikorita in!
