black metal is not a safe place, needs to be transgressive, neither friendly nor inclusive, needs to be ugly, uncomfortable, harmful. Great episode.

Yes, all those things as long as it is not "sketchy".

      The sketchier, the better.

Fantastic episode, all of the speakers felt at ease and those jokes were just top! well described the essence of Black Metal, take it or leave it.

We see the real side of the intense musicians and realise that life is also take it or leave it.

I have the exact same problem with the perception of black metal these days. Oh, you like black metal, cool, I saw a couple of videos on UA-cam and it's exotic, intense, very artistic. Exotic? I don't want black metal to be exotic, acceptable and fashionable...wtf? I miss the good old days when people looked at me in a similar manner to the lady in Teheran 😃 Not a genre for consumer market and hipsters. But I guess social media makes anything accessible in the modern world. That's why I love bands like Marduk...NO ONE WILL EVER CALL THOSE LEGENDS EXOTIC AND ACCEPTABLE!😈

Dude, thanks a lot for bringing those two maniacs onto your podcast, but after watching more than an hour of it, I have to bring some critique. You obviously had not really prepared interesting questions. How about possible releases by Drottinn, Behexen, Beyond Man or Dark Sonority? How about the future of Mare apart from the scarce gigs? How about the times of Celestial Bloodshed? How about Steingrim? etc pp. Instead of letting your guests speak freeliy, more than 50% of the time is just you talking about your feelings and what not. Bjorn even jokes about it, when you mentioned your relationship. With all due to respect, but you can do better ;)

I appreciate you listening, but if you'd paid attention, you'd know that most of what you just mentioned was already covered in both of the previous episodes.
The format of a podcast is to have a conversation more than a formal interview, it is what makes it stand out.
The purpose of this episode was to shoot the shit with two of my friends, which is exactly what we did.

Also, do you think it's really appropriate to casually ask someone about their friend who passed away?

@@iblismanifestations231 I have also seen both earlier episodes, as I follow you right from the start.... Don't get me wrong, I appreciate your work and 3 persons via stream is difficult to handle I guess, but everything can be improved and so I gave the hint, that even shooting shit needs direction and flow sometimes, so it's easier for the listener's attention to get captured.
Bjorn for example is (it seems) a closed guy with strong mindset and he participated in a ridiculous amount of absolute fantastic bands and legendary recordings over almost two decades, so I am always thrilled to hear his opinions and you seem to be the only one to bring him to a chat, so....

@@iblismanifestations231 Why not ask how he got to know him? why he chose him to join Celestial Bloodshed? How that changed the course of the band (or not)? I did not insinuate that talking about a tragic death would be of interest.
