Escaped (with my children) an abusive husband, fleeing to Florida from Indiana and we, too, did a loop---down the Atlantic side all the way to Key West, then back up the Gulf side all the way to the panhandle and Grayton Beach (my happy place).
Trip was epic; memories precious. Took about 3-4 weeks in all. Rescued myself & my kids from terror to paradise and had an experience of a lifetime.
Learn from your experiences, now dont go back!!!
@@jonathancapestany6379 I *did* go back; for many reasons---one, my Mother was in danger from him. He continued on his crack and meth spiral until the last straw made me WAKE THE FRICK UP: i found out he took our 4 y/o daughter to crack houses with him😡😠
GOODBYE ABUSER and thank you Jesus for protecting us. Just this past Oct I divorced him. *wipes hands clean from him*
Congratulations. New life
God Bless you
Very nice thanks Robert please reply
You go girl! I hope ur life is better now. Bless.
Robert seems to be the perfect tour traveler guide, the traveling chef and the epicurean disciple. He takes us places we've never been, gives us the images we want to see, explain in details the history behind the scenes, and enjoys himself at the different locations visited -- and he does so in his eloquent use of the English language and a taste to impress.
I'm a Floridian and I love living here. You have represented us well.
florida is ever glad country
Florida summers with the afternoon thunderstorm is one of the things I enjoy here in Florida.
After 7 months living in 160 sq ft. and 5000 miles later, having bought our dream home in the desert, we will be enjoying your videos on a 65 inch screen with a Bose sound system, in 1450 sq ft. Ahhh. You rock brother! Thanks for inspiring us to grab our dream.😁🏜
This video has been a "Great Escape" from the dreary, cold, wet weather here in Ohio. Thanks Robert!!!
I live Panama City fl
I grew up in Ohio, so I completely understand what you are talking about. I moved to sunny Florida in 1977, and missed the blizzard that year.
Yes. This crazy state loves the rain and cold lol
Where in Ohio? I am in Akron.
@@DougBerz north of Dayton.
My Aunt Jean Chimpkey, was a waitress most of her adult life at the Pier Restaurant in Flagler Beach. She lived a block or so just across A1A from the Pier Restaurant. She spent a lot of time walking along the beach and could hear the ocean from her house. She had a friend who owned a Dune Buggy, and they went everywhere in it. After she passed away years ago, we sold the house to a neighbor. We only visited her a couple of times, so looking at the pictures of Flagler Beach are almost new to me. Thank you, Robert, for this sweet memory of when Aunt Jean was still with us. I think several hurricanes have caused damage to the restaurant, so don't know if its still there. Stay safe and healthy on your travels, Robert. DBB, USA
well told excitng and informative funnly
I know that restaurant. It is called the funky pelican and in January of 2022 I visited it and ate there. I love Flagler beach. It's probably one of the most iconic spots I've visited in Florida. I'm sorry to hear she passed.
I found myself watching for half an hour without questioning what I was watching.
Robert, my favorite place in Florida is Vero Beach. I was there 25 years ago. It was so relaxed and we had the most beautiful views of the Atlantic Ocean from our motel
Historic Driftwood inn.
On Vero Beach. Get a cabin by the office if you can.
Visit Waldo's bar and restaurant.
Visit Schacht Groves just on the outskirts ( google it ).
Visit the Citrus Museum.
Find Old Dixie Highway and take it south to Fort Pierce.
Visit the Navy Seal Museum then Taco Dive beachside.
Head south towards Stuart.
Stop at Archies Seabreeze if you can.
Continue south past the power plant and google Elliot Museum and House of refuge museum.
Two must sees.
Head south to Port Salerno for a nice visit.
That's about as far south as I go.
I just returned to work a couple of days ago after being out since before Christmas due to testing positive for covid, and watching your videos was what kept me sane through quarantine. And while I’ve been working, I’ve found myself replaying the RV song in my head (and out loud a few times) over and over and it somehow has made time pass by quicker and made things easier. I don’t remember how I stumbled on your channel, but I’m glad I did! Great content all around.
florida is ever glad country
Wow that was a nice long one. Thank you for spoiling us rotten.Enjoy your travels in the new year.
An epacurian lunch young man
One of the finest vlogs I have seen in a while. Stunning images, calm voice, and soothing sounds

You went to every restaurant in Flagler Beach except the Award Winning “Gold Lion”!

Of course he missed it.
I love this guy's VOICE!!! very well made video and INTERESTING thank you, Traveling Robert.
I’ve lived in Florida from Fort Lauderdale up to Jensen beach my whole life. I’ve been almost everywhere you showed here, but watching this during Covid holed up at home, this made me feel like I took this trip myself. Thank you for the escape.
florida is ever glad country
I love Florida... where else can you see the sun rise over water in the east and set over the water in the west all in one day.
Im in PanamaCity Beach a nativeabd its the BEST, sunrises abd subsets over water! Not to mention my favorite palms and hibiscus!
"Pretty strong rip currents"...I was very familiar with Gamble Rogers music. He died getting caught in a rip current trying to save a drowning person at this beach. Thus the name of the State Park.
Somehow I have the feeling I have seen this video before.
I feel the same, being that it's a repeat it should play sans commercials!
@@jasanmiguel I'm trying the free no ads trail for three months. The election ads here in Georgia are driving me batshit crazy.
@@mwood65 I did the free trial and when the commercials came back I said, "Take my money!" so much better without.

Just scroll to the end of the video. Then hit the replay button and no more ads. You're welcome.
Excellent videos! All of them! Watching Florida videos helps me get through northern Minnesota winters. As of 7:30 this morning, we have a windchill of -46F.
I love this beach. It goes on forever.
This beach is great, like playing surf here
This was a good looooong trip around Florida! Nice!
I like the North High Brewing t-shirt from Columbus, OH. Way to represent the Buckeye State!
So proud of you. Your children ❤ are the most important thing ever.
You got this girl! 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
well told excitng and informative funnly
love your adventures! You helped so much during the lock downs and the winter months here in Ohio. I love Florida, west and east coast. You make it feel like we are all there and you never take short cuts and give us so much to every place you go! Thank you Robert you are the best, like family!
Next time you are in the Appalachia Cola area, check out St. George Island State Park. Great camping spots and very isolated.
The beach in the park is rated in the top 5 beaches.
Since i cannot cruise, this is the next best thing. Loving this..thank you for sharing.
I want to thank you, Robert for your wonderfully entertaining videos. Especially the ones from Florida. Until this lousy pandemic came about, my wife and I would vacation in Florida at least twice a year. It is our favorite destination and escape from the cold Canadian north. (I detest snow!) The main thing I find so fascinating about Florida is although it is one state, it has vastly different terrains. The east coast beaches and sites are very much different from the gulf coast. And it's hard to believe that places like Orlando and Disney are in the same state as the Everglades. Worlds so far apart. And my personal favorite, the Florida Keys. So much like a string of tiny Caribbean Islands. I know some may not agree, but to me Florida is magical and has so many things to offer. I'll never tire of it. Now if only I could get back to it.
I moved here a year ago it’s so amazing I agree I will never go back to ga again. Just the views here❤️
Thank you for wonderful music, history, and the most beautiful visuals.
I can't wait to hit the road and explore Florida!
Good morning, what a flood of memories for me in St. Augustine. We stayed on the beach too and toured the town. Loved it. 🥰🤩
I watched this video because it was just uploaded, but like others said, I have seen it before.
So we ventured into Seaside in January 2001 and there weren’t a lot of people around so it was nice strolling through the neighborhoods and then in 2021 we went back and were shocked! Where there were once no homes across 30A for a nice view of the ocean is now littered with homes…and the traffic! Oi! We didn’t even stop just kept driving…they can have it … we live in PC Beach. LOL! 😆
Having been born in FL, it's nice to see what I've never seen before. In PA over 60 years now (army brat), FL is too over populated to live there and just visit once in a while.
Love it! Thanks for sharing this with us. I never thought north Florida was beautiful. I have only been south florida and driven through north FL but never stopped. Now I will have to take my time and see it. Thank 👍
You have showcased our beautiful state so nicely! Love the channel!
Hello Robert!! I do remember this episode, but I appreciate seeing the beaches/ waves, blue skies, Great food and some great cooking segments with papprrrika!🥓🥕🧄🥔🧅🥗🥘🍴 Also the sunrises and sunsets were beautiful!!💕
36:43 where I will be living one day in the future. Love those condos - you;re in my neck of the woods - great video
When we recently lived in Florida, we would often go to the beach at Ormond Beach were parking was free and pretty available at the ocean. Glad you showed the state park in Flagler as we have an RV and will be going back to FL next fall. I also enjoy the Jacksonville Beach/Neptune area on the Atlantic and Crystal River/Cedar Key on the Gulf for that region. Many other places are wonderful, too!
For anyone wondering about becoming a member - a Pelican Head - after meeting Robert, I can tell you first hand he is genuine and more than worthy of your donations. He is even better in person. Share his videos, share his music - whatever - this is a very good guy.
It was great meeting you
The road nomad hitting the road , keep going .
"this doesn't seem to be part of the ruins, but it certainly seems to be in a ruinous state" ha
I sure enjoyed your Florida road trip. It was very relaxing for me to follow along with you on the trip and you did all the driving and walking for me. Never made it to South Florida as my wife had numerous times when she was a kid. When our kids were young Florida was the destination every year, and eventually we ventured to see other parts of the country. I remember driving highway 1 but only as far south as Melbourne. I once drove highway 98 from the Tampa area to Pensacola taking highway 98 and seeing a very different look of Florida. You are very good narrating your videos including the food selection. From St. Louis
Thanks Robert for that excellent trip...Here from Florida, I have been to most of the places that you visited, but the ones that I have not, your trip gave a good look at them, they will go on my list and hopefully I can visit those places during 2012...Great video.
I have always wanted to take the trolley through st. Augustine and now I don’t need to! Thank you Robert!
Dear Mr Robert, I really enjoy your videos and appreciate the massive effort you put in each and everyone of them. Sometimes I feel for you when you roam around solo in remote wilderness, but I know that you enjoy what you do! You are a true artist in every aspect, love your music very much, mood changer! and I specially enjoy your artistic narration which is educational if someone wants to learn this art which you master. God bless you every moment to keep doing what you enjoy and show us with you! :) and....¡sigue adelante!
Solo is often far better than having a shadow that takes away from the moment. But if a person is blessed with a fine companion, thank God and enjoy!
The great escape from everyday ho-hum. Sure enjoyed seeing The Florida Loop, & your beautiful Wife Lilly. Wish you could have stayed a little longer at some of the campgrounds, or just a little longer by the ocean during the sunrises.
🎉HAPPY NEW YEARS ROBERT& LILLY!🍾
Nice Florida compilation 👍Thanks Robert!
Loved the video. The Florida sunrises are beautiful at the beach. We're in California where the beach, has beautiful sunsets.
beautiful sunset and sunrise pictures. Have never visited the loop. pleasant music and soft voice. Thank you
Slept in & lookie what I get to enjoy w/ my coffee! Another awesome video from our favorite RVer, cheers & thank you
👍😍
Having passed thru Palm Bay on my way down to the Space Coast, I am making that mall and the musical atmosphere. Thank you.
We have watched for years. We also pull a Winnebago Minnie but with a GMC Canyon Denali. Right after we purchased it I installed Clearview towing mirrors. One of the best upgrades. They look like they were stolen off a Sierra/Silverado. They sell them in black or chrome and with or without plug and play power mirrors.
The wife and I will continue watching your adventures. Thanks for sharing them.
Excellent way to end my Holiday vacations before starting work again tomorrow!
What a great tour! Thank you, Robert!
All sunshine no rain make a dessert.
Robert, I had the same problem with my tailgate hitting the electric tongue jack. To fix it, removed the 3 bolts and rotated the motor 1/3 toward the driver side. The holes didn't quite line up and had to ream one of the holes and bolted it back in. Works great now.
Robert we have seen this video before..... but thank you I love florida abd can’t wait to get my travel trailer there!
Great Robert! Nice to following your trips!
We love Florida must go back maybe this summer..
I visited seaside and Miramar beach 2 Januarys back so nice to see how things are last summer
Great video. I enjoyed the St. Augustine part of trip. We are planning a trip there so the information is of Great use. I didn't know about Seaside being the film location for the Truman show. Been around that area Panama City, Destin and Fort Walton. Beautiful soft white sands and the Gulf is fantastic. Thanks for video Robert
I haven't been to the beach in over 20 years. Thanks for sharing.
great tour of northrn fla thank you traveling robert
cant wait for more great job!!
Gorgeous sunset
I love your videos and commentary. You're real about things and I only have 1 small thing.
You never say anything bad or bad about your expediencies. You're maybe too nice at times.
But over all you are a great envoy to RV traveling.
Thanks for the tour of Florida. It's a retirement destination of this Canadian who loves the heat.Nice video. Very informative.
I just noticed that you were swimming in the pool with your glasses on! You crack me up Sir! 😂
Just found your channel. I’m really enjoying your videos, of course I’ve subscribed. The areas you travel and see are very much like what I would see if I were on vacation. What a great and clean narration. Thank you.
Changed our trip because of you video. I had two night planned for St Augustine but now we will stay three. We will not be able to get there till about four on the first day and we will be tired. I am going to be Free in My CRV. Ha!!! That is they way we roll. Well it is what it is. I have been watching your videos to plan a trip to Arizona and New Mexico. We also plan to visit North and South Dakota. We live near Washington DC.
Very good documented Robert, job well done. Since I play guitar, I was jamming over this part of this song .41:57 just awesome.
Another great one.
Thx
Bob
Flagler Beach certainly looks like Grand Cayman, especially the beaches and the houses by the beach. I love to see the animals along the way.
Enjoyed all the sights!
I really enjoyed your video.
I had the opportunity to visit St. Augustine about 7 years ago, brings back great memories. That last RV park was pretty fancy. Watching from S. California.
Flagler Beach named after Henry Flagler, a standard oil founder who built the first island hopping train line to Key West-- Did it with his own money !!! Now thats bold.....true grit....
rip victims of the condo that fell.
Keep up the great work, Robert! Truly inspirational. Best regards from Brazil
Enjoyable for a Sunday afternoon
We are enjoying this summery ride with Robert, especially in early December Ohio!
Finn's rooftop looks terrific!
Great job thank you very much
Oh my gosh Robert. I winter in Fernadina Beach and we go to St. Augustine quite often, and we actually sat at that same table as you at the Sangria bar. LOL Great show, and I love East Florida. I am leaving tomorrow and driving down. Love your cooking spots also.
Nice job as usual! Always enjoy your narratives, scenes and music. Thanks😊
Very enjoyable!
As always, an excellent video with outstanding narration...
Always a goodie!
Great video, of an area i will check out one day in the couple of years, thank you!
These videos are fun to watch!
Clearwater Florida here. Sunrise and sunsets over there...
That sugar mill looks like a movie set. 🎬🎥🎬
wow..1 what a terrific video. Parts of Florida I've never seen although I live in St. Petersburg.
A friend of mine had a beautiful home on St. Augustine beach similar to those around 37:25. Hurricane Matthew turned it into a wreck. Really a shame.
Nice that you put Desert Rain in the beginning
Almost 7 months of listening to your album every day
Best one yet and I am only at the Gamble Rogers part! Hello from Taiwan my friend!
Awesome channel just what I need for dreaming about travel! Thanks so much and new subscriber from Canada 👍🙂🇨🇦
Another great video! Ty
Great to see
I love Ho Hum RV Park. We stopped there for 3 days after a trip out west. Really enjoyed the front row and had planned on returning. It used to be an adults only park but I heard that's no longer true.
As always nice video can't wait to visit Florida this year.
Nice! Love the beaches in Florida!
Hello from California! Just got hooked on your videos. Can’t wait to hit the road with new truck and see our beautiful country.
