This is probably the best example of using it in the context of creating music. Everything else I watched were just playing tones! I am going to buy the ARP Ody! Fantastic video
Dude this sounds great! The track is superb but what was also impressive was the compression and master. Can you share a bit on which units you used to run the synth thru, pre-amps, comps, etc? Sounds fantastic. Thanks in advance!
This is awesome! I have a question. I have FL 20 and I’m planning on buying the ARP Odyssey Rev 1 Module in a couple of weeks. How do you connect the Rev 1 to FL 20? I want to record with it and I want to use it as midi.
Just use the usb to connect to your DAW of choice. Check the midi channel in the drop down external instrument / midi menu and your ready to go. You'll need to connect the mono of the ARP to your sound card. As soon as you commit to wav in your daw there will be a little delay. Just move the wav a little to make the external instrument sit tight in the mix...
Great video! I have a workflow question. When you're building the track, do you go back and recreate the patches as you proceed or you come up with the whole structure before and do full passes on each patch ?
@@RobertIverMusic for sound Design reasons I prefer the arturia Vst preamps. They are easy to use and I can save on HD incl all settings, making more Versions and Listen to them a week later to decide what I really like best
@@RobertIverMusic I thought so I have the same one, from what I've heard yes the BArp and Karp sound close. Love the size and look of KArp due to limited space in my studio.
@@RobertIverMusic I think it happens at about halfway? I'm not near a place where I can re-listen. Perusing your channel it's clear you know how to produce and have some chops. The former A&R guy in me would prefer not having you transpose the notes. The groove is already great and it holds its own. You're not making jazz. Hehe.
The king of arpeggios is back! Phenomenal performance, thanks for sharing!

Best synth "demos" I've heard in youtube (actually real musical tracks). Incredible production too!
Thanks Miltos, I’m humbled by your comment. Thanks again....
This is just fantastic. Perfect balance of mix/fx and just letting the synth speak for itself.
somehow i have returned to this, and it’s as good as ever. an ARP feels like such a no brainer decision.
I love the odyssey. I’m curious as to how it compares to the 2600 sound wise.
Just came across your vids. You've got a new follower. Nice demos. Actually came for the Behringer synth comparison. Keep on. Thanks.
Great demo, man. The ARP Odyssey module is my first love and second only to my 2600M!
The detail and the production is so simple yet such great quality! I'm still starting out with synths but you are inspiring me.
More, more! Awesome. I just bought a Behringer Odyssey and this is quite inspiring. Would love another video uploaded...well done.
Well thanks! I have a few other albeit not with the ARP. Will do a new one with the ARP;-)
Mate this is brilliant
Thanks !!!!
Great sounds! I appreciate you giving insights into the sound design throughout.
Absolutely fantastic, and uncommon use of the ARP Odyssey! I might try some synth wave on mine now! Why doesn't this have WAAAAY more views?
Thanks, and thanks ;-)
The World would be a calmer and more serene place if this had 40M views.
Wow thanks ;-)
What a synthgasm. Thanks!
Amazing! Loved the lead section, pink floydish!
Wow, thanks a lot for the compliment!
Ah yes. Do something like this with the Waldorf Pulse you have in the back there.
Nice job! God, I need one of those so badly. I think, the Rev. 1 module would be exactly my choice, too. ;-)
really lovely music
This is awesome. Can you do a step by step tutorial on how to make arpeggios on the arp odyssey please
Goeie shit, ouwe! You did it again! :)
Incredible demo!
That sounds super

You have a good ear! Super
Fantastic!! Love it
YES! love this.
thanks!
absolutely legendary
Wow thanks
Beautiful man
thnx a lot!
Another brilliant track. I could listen to music like this all day long. Well done
Awesome. We are now Subscribing and hope you will return the gesture as we all need a bit of support during these stranger times.
Sure, will do
👍🏻👍🏼👍🏽👍🏾👍🏿
Do you put out music?? I'd love to buy me some... Really good stuff.
Congrats
Well I have an other ‘regular’ lofi project that’s on Apple and Spotify etc. I’m going to release this asap.
Awesome!
2 dislikes? Can only be Robert's evil triplet brothers
You guessed right, whaaa

Robert Iver do you need an audio interface like the scarlet focus rite?
Yes, I use a Presonus iTwo btw...

Hi Murat, I make 80 percent of the structure and then do the full passes. The 20 percent are the bridge and extra’s solo etc
@@RobertIverMusic Really cool!
the sound is powerful and robust and rich do you passed the synth through a preamp, I see one there behind a universal audio
In this case I just used the preamps of the PreSonus iTwo. Sometimes I use the Warm Audio or the UA 610.

Sei bravo, vorrei mixare la tua traccia
Do you prefer this or the behringer version ?
I don’t know the Behringer version. But there’s a great review by Starsky Scarr.
Hey Rob, this is a KARP correct? Bloody brilliant composition btw!
KArp indeed. I suppose the BArp sounds the same?!?

Wonderful synthwave. This tune is great - although I don't dig the transposition that much.
In the bridge? Just curious....

Well there's nothing wrong with some jazz once in a while ;-) Thanks for the respons btw!
@@RobertIverMusic happy to oblige!
wow
I thought even the drums came from the Oddy...
Great demo otherwise!
With the Neutron I indeed did that but I’m a bit lazy. So at the moment I opt for samples from mostly some vintage drum machine.

Yeah, I checked out that video now, amazing work there!
sadly ruined by interruptions from adverts
I’ll check the settings. Thanks for letting me know.
