Hey ! welcome ! :) I don't know, it all depends of the weight and lenght of the lens. I don't know if the lens extend, and if its long and heavy, but I don't think it will work without counterweight. Even it is lighter than the 180mm but longer, it might distribute the weight differently and might also not work with counterweight. The only way would be to try, counterweights are cheap and always good to have
