Another crab's treasure is a recent indie game that is doing extraordinarily well right now. This game is absolutely amazing and a wonder to play as well. Indie games are completely destroying triple A games right now in terms of quality. Truly redefining what a good game should look like... Thoughts?

bro I think AAA games in recent times have become very bloated for their size, especially in terms of the amount of budget its cost an arm in leg that translates to the size of the micro transactions. The gaming market has reached the point where what Indie developers can do now is similar to what AAA studios used to put out. This is usually a fraction of the price, and usually more without the inflated microtransactions. The ceiling was raised and Indie studios stepped in to fill the remaining shelf. With the success of so many games like Helldivers, BG3, and now Manor Lords, I wonder how AAA producers haven't started to learn their lesson yet.
10000% agree
I miss the days when games weren't successful unless they created QUALITY games...
For real dawg
its indeed sad it took 10+ years for people to realize this, but better late than never

But what about Helldivers two?
Wonderful game. Def an exception to this
@@Jdyo Well actually that was a trap because if you know Sony started forcing people to use their horrible easy to hack network that you had to connect your steam account to play the game that you bought, but Sony's server was also limited the amount of countries that could use the servers and they did stop doing this however people in countries without access to the server still had no access to helldivers two.
@@B00T987 Isn't it optional now?
@@BlackSheep205 I said that "They did stop doing this" which was me saying that they stopped forcing people to use their servers.
Me Playing terraria and having more fun than i would ever have in most AAA title that i try to love
SO TRUE
Hey, great video! I agree with your main point, and I think you are 100% correct that we are due for some sweeping changes to the industry, but I'd like to add a little clarity to the motives behind most of the layoffs in the industry. While they are fundamentally cost related, the layoffs mostly come as a product of many mergers and acquisitions by microsoft taking place, and microsoft looking to downsize the studios, it's a dumb move by MS, but is what is ultimately behind most of the layoffs. Additionally, a lot of companies have begun with layoffs internally to replace CS jobs with AI. If you look at the numbers, most layoffs are for customer support in the past year or so.
Still a very great point! And I don't doubt that they are beginning to feel some financial pressure which may have prompted these to come sooner, but I believe that these layoffs were coming with or without the industry being put in a squeeze.
Triple A game producers have been increasingly criticized for becoming complacent and lazy, often prioritizing profits over innovation and quality. Many recent releases have been plagued with issues such as unpolished gameplay, excessive microtransactions, and recycled content. This shift towards monetization over creativity has led to a decline in the overall gaming experience, with gamers frequently expressing frustration over unfinished products being released, followed by a barrage of updates and patches. The emphasis on franchise sequels and predictable formulas further exemplifies the industry's reluctance to take risks and deliver truly groundbreaking games.

palworld, bg3 battlebit these games already shook up the gaming industry as much as possible and no game will make a bigger impact because people tend to stick to what they know however shit it might be so battlebit might be much better than the last 3 battlefield games people dont want to play indies because theyre unfamiliar
Fallout NV is really good, but we can't diss Fallout 4, that game is still a gem, admittedly not as good as NV, but if you want a good comparison, Fallout 76 was a better comparison, though however, really good video, I'm enjoying it! You're spitting facts.
the game is sorta buggy and runs bad on switch though and the camera is annoying but i still like the game i just put it on easy mode
y’all keep paying for the battlepass though. Also, if you can find enjoyment from bikini bottom dark souls I garuntee you there’s a AAA game you haven’t tried yet that you will enjoy. Or even an indie game. Idk what my point is.
