  • This job terrified me. I'd never worked on car interiors before but it is possible using this excellent guide.
    Huge thanks to GaryRR.

I believe that on the pre-2010 models you will need to do some cutting, but on the post-2010 cars access is JUST big enough. Although be prepared for some frustration.

Enjoying this series … L320 for me, rather than FFRR, but good to watch the journey you’re on.

Good work Sir, another job done to keep the old girl in good shape and as a bonus you avoided a garage bill. I call that a Win👍

      Thanks for your kind comment.
      Definitely a win.
It was most interesting for me to see how the interior comes apart. Just a few clips and lots of torx screws. I really didn't enjoy persuading the new motor in to position!

Easier if you have small hands. Without a working heater blower motor the car is pretty unpleasant to use. I made the decision to do it myself to learn how it's all put together. I still don't know what I'm really looking at and some of the electrical connectors are quite hard to release, until you figure out how they work.

Good stuff! Gary has done some cracking write up on the full fat forum. This is one of a few 😊

Yes indeed. And he's already corrected the dashboard refitting sequence mistake I noticed for anyone that uses the guide in future.
