LR3 HSE alternator problem quick diagnosis and repair

- I show you how I went about quickly diagnosing a bad alternator in my 2005 Land Rover LR3 HSE with the V8 engine. I will post the link to the part I bought shortly. I will also post an update if anything goes wrong in the next little while. Enjoy.
I had my old alternator replaced and I've had not but problems since the new one was put it, my guess was low voltage, so I'm glad this confirms my suspicions, time to get a new alternator I suppose. This video actually just solved a huge mystery for me, thank you so much.
Just did mine and it cleared out a host of electrical gremlins and DTCs. Did a genuine Denso unit, as I read sketchy reports of aftermarket unit performance and reliability.
Where did you order from? What were the symptoms of your car that made you know it was an alternator?

Awesome Vid Mate, though you did bang on about the $96 CDN for a while!! I have been struggling with this, new battery, alternator MAF unit, fingers crossed Im off to do it now....
Very useful video my l322 4.2sc has similar weird electic faults and battery never seems to stay fully charged tried changing the battery and was still the same however the alternator is old and sounds rough on the bearings im going to replace that next
Hey i just got my lr3 out storage and i needed a jump got a jump took cables off and the car died. Ima try charge just the battery but is the altinator bad

Are you able to tell me the company on Amazon that it shipped from? I have the exact same vehicle and the EXACT same issues just started and I too live in Canada. Especially the "whining" noise. Then a day or two later the HDC warning and low power mode and suspension lights. I see a few for around $300 but if the one you got works great, I will buy from that company on Amazon.

hey guys, I changed my alternator, battery, and problems still, right after, i have to boost it everytime i have to use it, it reads 12.6 when running, even after a ride of 10 or 15 minutes, right after i turned the motor off, battery is dead,,,

Haha. Not sure anymore as we recently sold it. But worked well the whole time after the repair.
