@@DrTomBiernacki Well that didn't help so recently this month, my doctor prescribed me the vitamin D2 50,000 IU and I got to take one softgel twice a week. And I'm still taking my K2. I'll find out if that's improved my vitamin D diffiency the next time I have blood work. But for now I've got to get set up with a dermatologist to see if they can do anything for my 3 toenails that have fungal infection. 😢
8:58 - Tommy, me too. 50% Polish all the rest of my genes German and British Iles and I live in Mexico. I do not burn anymore since removing "heart-healthy" plant oils from my diet. I'm full on Carnivore, and no longer burn in the sun. Be well, tocayo! ❤️
My vitamin D levels are up to the hilt. I took 8,000 IU's for over a year and now I'm OK taking 4,000 IU's a day, but if I go over that I feel nausea but OK the day after when I go back to 4,000 IU's. BTW, I take vitamin K2 mk7 and magnesium with the vitamin D. Does it work? Last year I had four viral infection but this year I've had none so far.
@@MindlessTube I never took vitamin D until I got a systemic fungal infection 5 years ago when a fungus infection took over my body. The doctors thought it was cancer at first because I lost so much weight, but after having every test going, they said the only thing they could find was that something was attacking my lungs - the fungus and I had zero vitamin D. I recovered from it once I got antifungal medication but asked the doctor how the fungus could spread all over my body and he said you had no vitamin D so your immune stem wasn't working so there was nothing to stop the fungus spreading. I'm glad it happened in a way because I'm 75 so when the first covid virus hit me I got viral pneumonia, but because my vitamin D levels where High, I was only mildly sick for just three days and made a full recovery without any medicine or hospital treatment - it would have killed me without the vitamin D! I take mainly supplements as I very rarely go out in the sun but I do eat a lot of fish.
I don't think the 2 enforce themselves, it's not so much taking 10,000 but instead make sure the levels are not deficient (which almost all people are)
I understand that if we get an average tan in the summer the vitamin D levels are adequate to get us through the cold weather and that our body stores it that long. Did you link the latest study you quoted?
You know that is a great point: half-life of serum 25(OH)D is about 15 to 25 days (7, 8), whereas the calculated half-life of serum 25(OH)D after intake of vitamin D is up to 82 days
1:20 there is no such thing as Vitamin D in ng/dL. The way it is tested is in ng/mL and different labs will give you different results which is why no doctor will test it unless your basic labs or vital signs are way off or you have some type of complaint or specific medical condition.
Correct, I believe the text corrects this 😁, I caught that in editing. But you are correct, the goal is to speak up and get the test if you are worried. And it's good to be aware
@@DrTomBiernacki There are many breakfast cereals that are fortified with vitamins and minerals. Some put 100% RDA of some vitamins and minerals but they never put more than 15% RDA of Vitamin D or Calcium, and they never fortify Potassium or Magnesium at all. Now think about that. Why do they do that?

100% agree, and there are a million journals out there, but if you include only the #1 journal in the world you are excluding 99.999% of the remaining studies published

My doctor has told me that my vitamin D is so low that I need to take 10,000 IU of vitamin D3 daily and I also take one capsule of K2 100mcg daily.
How's it been doing? 😁

Have an amazing Christmas 🎄🎁 and happy new year! 🙏☺️
One thing people do not talk about is how much magnesium you should be taking for every 1,000 IU of d3.
Wow! I have to take 10,000 of Vitamin D3 daily so I would have to take alot of my magnesium supplement of 500mg daily!!
In general you want to take 300-400mg per day, I think that is not dependent on vitamin D3 😊
