This is what you would call an excellent Christmas present, although I've seen it before.
Rory Gallagher, impeccable and unmatched even after 27 years of his ausence he's more present than ever. Unforgettable and forever in our hearts and minds.
He's still today, just wonderful & eternal!
Thanks a lot for the gift...💝🎸🤩🥂🎁🎄

We Germans always loved him and he loved coming here. It was a very special relationship. I saw him live at the Open Air in my hometown of Nuremberg in the summer of 1977 together with Thin Lizzy, Chicago and Santana. Those were the days....
Guten tag. Nuremberg is a wonderful city. I was fortunate enough to live there from 1986-1988 and see my ancestors' Bavarian homeland.
Same in France and in Brittany especially !
Hi I envy you 😀in summer of 1977 I was 10 and it would take still some years until I found rock music. Thank you for telling that story . I hope you enjoy the memory, by the way in summer of 1983 I saw Thin Lizzy in Nuremberg Monsters of Rock. Best wishes to you Andreas from Nuremberg
RIP rory. an all time great. seen him first in newcastle 1973. was also at the 1977 rockpalast gig in essen. miss him so much. rock on in heaven rory
Que grande privilégio vc teve, fiquei com muita inveja, parabéns pelos feitos conseguido até hoje
The best from our little island!

And here we all are watching this AMAZING talent after all these years 🤘🤘🤘🤘👏👏👏👏👏
Saw him in 1984 at Sarajevo,Bosnien. 2,5 Hours enjoyment!
One of the greatest and most underrated musicians I’ve ever listened to. His music will never fade. more respect for RORY GALLAGHER
Why underrated ?? Rory was always well known and appreciated in Rock and Pop media 👍
@@MrStrat01 Nah, he's definitely underrated, he never made a blip on most "best guitar" lists for some stupid reason and he never was a big selling artist. He was beloved here in Germany, but overall? He didn't sell that well, his anti-commercial stance, against singles, against being marketed limited the exposure.
Of course it's easy now to discover him with the internet but back in the day he basically was a "underground musician", undervalued, underappreciated in most countries.
It's one of the rare times were the term "underrated" actually is completely correct.
@@ShadowAngel18606. Talvez su imágen de granjero, o su tendencia al sobrepeso no encuadraba con el esquema del Rockstar típico, lo cual no lo hacía el preferido de los promotores artísticos, a pesar de su gran talento. Saludos.
@@MrStrat01 I don’t think Rory gets the accolades he deserves. You hear about Clapton, Page, Hendrix etc, but not about Rory
@@lowtaxationworks3589In the mid 70's, the French rock press was talking about Rory quite often yet.
What a great guitarist. I just think there are enough words to describe him
Mr. William Rory Gallagher Criminally Underrated!!!

Caught him with Taste at the Circus Krone in Munich 1970. Crazy good. Miss him. Thanks for this vid!
You were so lucky to have seen Rory at that time, I am very jealous 🎸
Incontestablement l'un des 5 meilleurs guitaristes du monde!!!!❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
The " Maestro " Mr. Rory Gallagher , I think there is an imbilical cord that goes from Rory,s fingers to His guitar!
Großartig! Danke😍
His ability to play the guitar never left him.Rest in peace,Rory!
He is one of most best guiarrist of blues. rock !!!!!
Great upload and thanks man. I saw Rory live twice in Boston. Rory is definitely in my top 10 of all time favorite guitarists. ✌

Poor Rory, you have to admire him for still being able to pull off a decent show despite being visibly ill.
Doctors he was going to overprescribed paracetamol (Tylenol) for some of his issues. Family members didn't realize it until after it had destroyed his liver and the attempted liver transplant failed and resulted in his death. They were very angry.
Although doctors treat Tylenol like it's candy ....telling people to take it for any and everything...it is actually potentially quite dangerous and can destroy the liver.
A very simple thing to do to avoid this is to take it with a very inexpensive supplement called "NAC" or n-acetylcysteine.
But of course no doctor is going to tell you to take a supplement because they don't believe in them. Only very toxic prescription drugs, including psych drugs. Everything else is "nonsense" to them.
Doctors and shrinks have killed a number of famous musicians with their toxic "Pig" Pharma wares and in Rory's case, the "harmless" Tylenol.
But it's what they're told to do in medical school and medical schools are highly subsidized by the pharmaceutical industry so it's not surprising.
You have to be your own doctor sometimes and question a lot of the things they tell you.
With the great ones, like Rory, their music was their medicine and if they could rally for a show, they would feel better - for a little while.
Infelizmente foi uma perda irreparável para música, para sociedade em geral, um verdadeiro show Men, lamentável nos deixou muito cedo
He was so dynamic on stage. You need to watch his earlier live jams. Enjoyed what he did. He so related to his fans, included his fans in his songs. Has fans all over the world. Great acoustic guitar, mandolin, electric guitar player. Energetic. A humble man, a kind man. Turned down fame (Rolling Stones) to keep his integrity. Sold 30 million albums by producing them himself. Shall I go on!?
Love Rory, last time I saw him was this tour, thank you so much❤
Thanks for showing this video. I met Rory in Berlin in 1976. Was back stage with him at ROCK CIRCUS. His talent was AMAZING. The recent top Guitar Player listing left him off their top players. What idiot made that list had be a complete idiot . RORY was one of top 5 players in the World.....
Glory for Rory
Guitar !
Zajebiste czasy, zajebista muzyka, zajebiste piwo w szklanych kuflach. Rory!
As a NYC kid my first ever concert was Rush, 1982 Signals tour at Madison Square Garden. Rory Gallagher was their opening act for the majority of the tour. I honestly can't remember him too well because I was 17 at the time and hadn't fully developed a fine ear for guitar masters but I remember it being a magical night!!! Glad to have him on my list of guitar giants I've caught Live.
I saw Rory Gallagher in 1978 in cascais my town, what a show, still have the ticket.
A great time to see Rory, you were lucky to have been there.

Rory is truly missed, he was unique. Thanks for the superb quality upload, @ScottishTeeVee!
Glad you enjoyed it
i never miss RORY
Rory was unique Allright. I've never seen anyone quite like him. To be Irish, Scottish, English & influenced SO profoundly by the blues is a incredible testimony to one's musical passion! He could carry a GREAT rhythm & still find a place for single string. Sing, tour the stage ,clear a runway for his Chuck Berry impersonation!
We are GREATLY in your debt Rory!! You left us before the encore'!!
.
I would to do justice to the bass player Mr Gerry McAvoy who was underrated by some snob people. THE truth is that he provided together with Brendan O'Neil a killing groove behind Rory and later with Nine Below Zero. This had to be said. ❤Gerard from 🇫🇷
@@user-ue8zj6mq8i When a band is this good, you always have to give great credit to the bass and drum players for creating a groove. Rory's band is in the same stratosphere as Cream as far as guitar, bass and drums go.
Now add a harp player and your really rockin'

This is great and also good to see some footage from Rory’s latter years. The band are on fire. Rory was starting to suffer from health problems, but you wouldn’t know it. My favourite guitar player ever.
Even with his health problems, Rory is able to create an "other worldly, transcendent" experience within himself. Few healthy musicians can put together performances that even approach Rory's magnificence. He takes this primal energy and shares it with his audience. He touches a chord inside a spectator's heart that rises them out of their seats and lifts them to emotional heights that they've never experienced.
And when we see this set repeatedly, it always lifts us up.
God Bless, Rory, Rock in Peace...
My Darling Gorgeous Angel 😇🥰😇🥰😇

I've always felt Pat Travers owes a debt of gratitude and homage to Rory. Pat took a lot of pages from his book tone, playing and vocals-wise. Of course Pat was the better overall guitarist. But I really understand now why this guy(along with Jim Mccarty, Holdsworth, Peter Green and a few others), were known as the "greatest guitarists you've never heard of". Gone way too young. *RIP*
Everyone talks about Jimmy Page but Rory was right up there.
Brilliant. The versatility Rory had! And Gerry McAvoy was having a good night, too. 😀

Putting the Happy in the Holidays! Musical brilliance. Thank you, STeeVee!!!
Can you believe I first started listening to this fabulous musician around 50 years ago. How can that much time possibly have passed I believe my favorite song was Tattooed Lady. And I think that was the name of the album. I know I've got the song right because it's still playing in my head and I picture the album cover as well but I don't remember if that was the title Please correct me if I'm wrong. A teenage girl with a crush that would break your heart listening on my little record player with two tiny matching speakers over and over again with my dad yelling is she ever going to turn that crap off. LOL I think I did but switched it for Black Sabbath Paranoid I think he wished I had stuck with Rory. Have an amazing Christmas what an absolute treat this was. Talk about a bombardment of memories.
Thank you for watching and commenting Dixie, 50 years, it is scary. Have a great Christmas
