Co-driver isn't just guide driver But also had to planning the stage of recce and adjust correctly, giving advice to driver, and sometimes becoming unexpected partner when fixing car outside service area I appreciate it so much and respect well as driver
Videos like this do help. But there needs to be content creators willing to open up the results and times dissect the stages and go into depth. But there lies the problem. Rally as exciting as it is, really isn't as accessible. Not just in media, but also complexity. F1 just goes around in circles, there's 1 or 2 base strategies and the factors are limited. Races can be won or lost on a pit-stop or a single mistake. Rally being won or lost as said is down to the pace notes, the angles of attack, every single turn can potentially be put under scrutiny. There's still a crash or 2, but there's also the fact these guys race Solo. Not everyone is able to appreciate the skill, the work that goes into running the stages. They'd much rather see wheel to wheel racing. Arguably I'd say the FIA need to bridge that gap between F1 and WRC by introducing the existence of RX, and plug the WRC through that. In fact if the FIA were to plug and highlight other racing disciplines within F1 on TV, that would be a start.
As for me a non English-speaking, a pace note = a rap battle literally next to you 🤣🤣 i can't divide my concentration between the stage and the co driver mentioning the pace note
There are many, many, stories of co-drivers getting sick! Some take medication, others can do it without. But you are certainly not along! For myself, it takes a while in a new car/driver to 'learn' the movements of, and up till then I can start to feel sick. Once, however, I have learnt how it moves, I am normally completely fine.
Aside from the obvious fact that it's a Mechanical Pencil, I'd also like to know what that is cause mine does not look as clear as that. Thicker lead maybe?
A single caution=be careful. A double caution= slow down or you will break the car A triple caution=slow down or you will break yourself as well as the car
flat - slightly curved road and/or can be taken 'flat' (top speed) caution - anything that should cause the driver to slow down more than normal, be it spectators, a hazard or whatever plus and minus - increase and decrease the angle of the turn, respectively
In addition to above, some co-drivers will use the terms opens/tightens instead of plus/minus. Rally games such as Dirt 2.0 and WRC9 are a great way to get bombarded with, and learn the lingo. They're fun too. I've been fortunate to experience the evolution of these games from the very beginning. At the start all we got were easy/medium/hard/hairpin for the turns and that was it. Now we get the near full co-driver experience. I'd certainly recommend it if you are a rally fan. They're tough, but persistence pays off.

Always remember: "Don't cut." Means *"DON'T CUT!"*
reminds me of Mcrae.. he takes Don't Cut as a suggestion To Cut! when in doubt flat out!
Which is why a lot of teams use DON'T, instead of don't cut.
So you can't accidentally only hear 'cut'!
Well, guess i should be listening to my dirt 4 co-driver
Not always, some corners could be small cut, in WRC games any time there's a don't cut, I try to small cut as close to the apex.
except when you can :)
Drive to Survive WRC. Make it happen 🔥

Seb is a great co driver
I've watched a few videos on this, and this one is by far the most helpful.
Absolutely fantastic! Ground reconnaissance, maximum knowledge & careful guidance. Wonderful.
3 ways to show the same curve. Awesome

Triple caution....Triple caution
samir you are breaking the car
Shaddap
I knew that the „don’t cut“ has to do with deadly obstacles on the side😎😁
Now I want to be a co-driver just to talk to other co's and compare our pacenotes
Love this, more of this please ❤️
More of this !!!!!
Very interesting

Why is it always down to 3 Manufacturers? Can we have at least 5 or 6 or even 7 Manufacturers in WRC, much like in 2001 and 2002.
they would just all just copy each other, they're all the same car now
no money
this is great to learn about :)
As person who gets dizzy looking down in a moving car, I'm already amazed the co-drivers don't have the same effect

co drivers are the best
Enjoyed that👍🇦🇺

You MUST have at least one "WHEELIE JUMP!" per stage. :)
Co driver its a hard work. Hopefuly he got the driver too
Amazing
I love rally, feels like a team of fighter pilots
"Don't cut" immediately cuts to another shot
Love this video
What type of pencil do they use in a video 2:21?
Came here just for checking/question that. Did you figure out ?
Aside from the obvious fact that it's a Mechanical Pencil, I'd also like to know what that is cause mine does not look as clear as that. Thicker lead maybe?
I love wrc
Was he the voice of Co-Driver in FIAWRC games?
Hope they get paid well!
"Listen to me Samir!"
I can never become rally driver no matters how hard i try. I'll be like "stop talking let me concentrate" 😂
u breaking the car Amir!
Trying for years now, can't get the woman just tell me 3R 60 2L opening to 4L over crest to where she actually wants to eat
Where is triple caution? As sameer has missed it..
A single caution=be careful.
A double caution= slow down or you will break the car
A triple caution=slow down or you will break yourself as well as the car
@@Sussex192 thanks for the info mate!
This doesnt really explain notes. What does flat mean, what dictates a caution what is a plus a minus? Those are things people want to know
flat - slightly curved road and/or can be taken 'flat' (top speed)
caution - anything that should cause the driver to slow down more than normal, be it spectators, a hazard or whatever
plus and minus - increase and decrease the angle of the turn, respectively
In addition to above, some co-drivers will use the terms opens/tightens instead of plus/minus.

Shadap dont tell me how to drive
Come one tanak!!
Any way i belive i can also do it.
How can he be a marshall AND a co driver?
Elliot is tight they won't hit it bc Ollie is the smoothest smartest driver there is
Basically they are creating their own language

But e-Pacenote is the future of Pacenote because of ecological and environmental reasons
In summary then: its complete gibberish.
