Well done on that stud bream, Ricky - it takes skill and patience to land a fish like that on light line especially, in the surf.

Old fish that bream and great to see her going back in. Reckon we should keep the young little tackers for a feed and let go them that know how to survive and can reproduce their kind. What footwear do you use on the beach in winter Ricky?
Yeah was a good fish yeah any thing over 40cm should be released i use
gum boots off the beach but just don't try to walk out in the water to far lol 🤣👍

Yeah I was using some o name cheap hook too watch wasn't the best idea lol
But never had a problem with mustard baitholder hooks so iam back using them now thanks mate cheers 👍

Better than me. Just spent two days fishing south Bennett’s beach. Got two flat ties undersize Enjoyed it though . Used live nippers salted pilchards and mullet all fish caught on pillies

Great stuff! Do you have a video anywhere showing how to tie those T knots on the droppers? I like paternoster rigs but get trouble with tangles so always end up going back to a straight running rig.

That bream is old as me about 36 years old. Must’ve dodged a lot of predators in its time tho

@@stickyfishyfishing some lure fishing or fishing off the rocks for snapper off the rocks would be cool, just getting a little bored of the beach fishing haha, I'd love to see some lure action. I caught a big salmon off fishos last week, I'm a local lol
