AFW Tooth Proof Stainless Steel Wite leader material is awesome for wire fishing leaders and it’s cheap as hell. Like 5$ a package for 30 feet. Also you can bend perfect wraps by hand and break it off clean at the wrap knot with some practice. All you need is strong fingers and some attention to detail. I like the being pliers in the video. Having some of these would make building steel leaders much easier on my hands. 👍 I don’t want to sacrifice my good hemostats though.
certainly knows what he’s doing making a swim feeder and obviously has a lot of time to make these things. The same thing in the tackle shop will probably cost about £1.50 so unfortunately the time and material and effort used to make it in the first place was just a waste for me …. each to their own but unfortunately, I will be going to the fishing tackle shop for mine .👍
I made feeders like this about five years ago. Your work is very beautiful. But he makes a mistake. The mesh must be cut diagonally, then your cylinder will have even ends.
Drill two small holes near each other in the top of a medicine bottle to fish a snap through. Then drill a bunch of small holes around the outside of the bottle. Throw a rock in the bottom for weight. Add the desired chum on top the rock in the container. Close the container. 20x cheaper 20x faster chum container. Used this trick many times

The leader I use is easy to had wrap the wire but it’s just a little hard on my fingers. Tooth Proof Steel Leader wire is a great inexpensive product for making steel leaders. It’s really cheap. You can also make leaders in the field of with no tools using it as long as you have strong fingers and are good at tinkering.
Well done. If youve got the tools, and the supplies and an hour to kill after the chores are done this is time well spent. most people sit around drinking alcohol and wasting their lives watching others play sports. Ypu are spending your time wisely .

It depends on your state weather you can chum for fish or not. A swim feeder is just the same thing as chumming. It’s a common European technique.
