I love when you said the “Oh look we have a leaf friend.” 🤣🤣
lol 😂
I used the same Amzon\Billfaro guards. They work great.
I did add 2 tie-wraps on each side on the bottom to hold it secure. The bottom double-sided tape didn't hold after a week.
Good to know, thank you for sharing with everyone!
You'd think they would be a standard must have.
Thankyou!
You're welcome!
The chief Corvette engineers said that they aren't stock because they aren't needed. Many of the mesh guards they tested, lowered the cooling capabilities and they said it could be bad for the DCT if you live in a hot area or do track days...
This is good to know, thanks for sharing.
@@GhostSpeedShop I am sure that if the mesh is larger openings, the difference in cooling would be minimal... But some of these things are like $700 for a $11 piece of mesh... They just assume Vette owners will pay anything, I guess?
If I get a set, its gonna be something off Amazon like you did... And it will be larger openings...
700! That’s wild! I couldn’t imagine paying that much! Even in Hawaii I didn’t have cooling issues with these so I’m not worried about them. Now if I was tracking the car in Nevada during the summer, I could see these potentially becoming an issue. Thanks for your input and constructive comments, there’s not many of those on UA-cam nowadays.
@@GhostSpeedShop You in Hawaii? I am on Oahu this week for vacation...
I have a channel as well, so I get it. haha
I was until September, I just moved to Colorado! Oahu is great, make sure you grab a bite to eat at Dukes in Waikiki!
Nice instruction. I'll pay the$495 and have the factory do it. 😂
Yeah I don’t blame you, the install isn’t crazy, but a lot of people don’t want to disassemble their car nowadays. 😂
Looks really good! Will these radiator guards fit on a 2023 Toyota 4Runner?
Hahahaha you’re funny my guy! I have some Land Cruiser content coming out soon for you! Donevan is picking his up today too and it’s arguably nicer than mine!
What What 4 post lift are you using?
The brand is dms equipment, but most of the 7k-8k lifts are the same.
Do you really need these? There seemed to be a knee jerked reaction from the Vette community about putting these on the cars
GM offers them as an option. The radiators look like sh*t after 2k miles if you don’t run them. It’s your call honestly but I like the way they look and I like the function of them.
I’ve noticed with this platform anything other than stock makes the mob come out of the word works with pitch forks.
So Chevy found another way to cut corners and passed that on to their “Valued Customers” ?
I’d say it was an afterthought. They offer a set of these as an option now when building the C8 however they are an aftermarket option that GM has added to their pallet.
Can't argue the point. They could easily add them in Bowling Green Assembly.
Hell, they could design in a slide-in from the bottom. This will allow to remove for cleaning.
I just bought a new 2024 Z51, and I am blown away how such a great car could be nickel and dimed by chevy like that. I have a 1lt package and it has less amenities than a new Toyota Camery
@@TinaPretti That’s a bummer.
So why did you buy it?
@@Doc1855 I bought the car because I liked the car, I was merely pointing out a lack of planning on the part of Chevy, not enough to make me not buy it, I figured most normal people would understand that.
