@@GhostSpeedShop I was just debating on whether to do the transmission service myself, but I wasn’t sure how long it would take to rip everything apart in the trunk and fill the Tran and reinstall everything But you’re saying it only takes 10 minutes to pull all that stuff out to get in there Wow.

It used to, you reuse your stock hardware. I’ve heard people say they’ve had to order the o2 sensor spacers still.

I forget which brand this lift is, df equipment or something. I went with a brand and had the company install it but all the lifts are Chinese for the most part. This one is good for 8k lbs and is just wide enough for the c8. It’s perfect for working on it in this garage

Completely ignorant comment. Hot rodders have used acrylic enamel paint for over four decades, one guy did his car forty years ago and still looks like new. Don't make stupid comments please if you haven't bothered to do any research on it.

@@locophoto6881 Doesn't mean its the right thing. Yes, its nice and super shiny but... for a start a proper enamel job needs hardener or you will never be able to polish to a super high level when the time comes, it will never be as the shine you first had and being soft for months easily scratches off when bumped, secondly a proper repair is easily done in laquer, minutes or decades later as it 'melts' in and can be polished to a high luster in a week or less. I've done whole cars in both. The enamel is very shiny from the spray, that is its only advantage, but make one mistake and good luck to you sir, repairs are a bitch and a half. Enamel without hardner should never ever be done. Do the famous fingernail poke test , it will put a mark in enamel that has not been mixed with hardener for weeks if not months. Laquer is touch dry in one minute and passes the fingernail test in a couple of days. Acrylic laquer is the best DIY paint, always has been, its just not available everywhere, not as durable and needs buffing to get the shine.

Goo-gone can work but some paints are sensitive to it. Dental floss would definitely break on an emblem this large with this much adhesive if the vehicle has spent more than a couple of months in the Sun.

Cutting is not necessary but will create better results and a harder finish.

People do it, but make sure your humidity is low and there’s no chance of rain. I would also avoid painting on days over 90 degrees f and avoid spraying under trees and in dusty areas.

@@GhostSpeedShop Yes failures, and my 2024 Z51 downshifts so hard in traffic the passengers will ask what’s that. I was ready to trade it at 100 miles, it has 1200 miles on it now and I don’t care if ever drive it again.

Sorry about your family…. The transmission problems aren’t as bad as people claim. They fixed the transmissions in 2024, so those issues won’t be as common. I’d take a vette over a hellcat any day.

@@GhostSpeedShop thanks man I really appreciate it I just got off the phone talking to Chevy myself.... I really want to get a stingray or an E-ray.... And hearing about the transmission problems really really bummed me out kept me up last night... It's funny cuz right now I probably got a little over $100 to my name and I'm trying to get a job can't find a job and today is 4th of July is why everybody's with their family I'm alone.... It's so depressing just makes me want to blow my brains the f*** out.... But here in good news about the transmissions not being so bad is helps my attitude out for sure so I really really appreciate your input and your time when I get my inheritance I'll go from broke to payed pretty fast wish me luck on the vet and thanks again.🙏❤️
