Yes. His voice has been my favorite my whole life! I was actually born in 91 , so I haven’t had to know a life without his amazing voice and the beautiful sounds coming from the guys in the band. My absolute favorite band for literally my entire life❤️❤️❤️
The most amazing part about this was an entire arena of fans singing along to a song where the lyrics are more of a suggestion than a structural part of the song.
He's not even singing the original lyrics. One part is originally "I don't know if I'm the boxer or the bag", and this version he says "My brothers' coming home in a box or a bag".
Eddie was interviewed in Amsterdam, and stated, he wrote 'Yellow Ledbetter' when he was plastered. So he said the words change with each performance, since he dosen't actually remember the original lyrics. It all depends upon his mood. So according to Eddie, there's no actual "lyrics" to the song, either right or wrong. It's improvised for each performance. I've seen PJ in concert 14 times and each time, the lyrics are switched up. But, regardless of what comes out of Eddie's mouth, the song is absolutely amazing.
I'm orginally from WA (Western Australia). I was forunate enough to see PJ when they toured across OZ, on they're Oceanic Tour. I saw them in Perth, Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane, as well as Auckland, New Zealand. I've also seen them at several shows in Europe. Eddie is actually going to be touring Australia, performing solo, starting on February 7th, in Perth, already got my tickets :) for the Riverside Theatre.
I read a Playboy article in the 70s with John Lennon and he says most of the songs have no meaning cuz they were high. He says just a song. Nothing more. Don't thik less of him.

56 years old and this Black and Hunger Strike are 3 of the best i heard in a long hard life. I have dreamed to these songs and gone to so many places while sitting in one spot.. love VEDDER
Can you see them? Out on the porch, but they don't wave. The crowd really experienced something special here. Life goal and hopefully these fine people don't ever stop.
Yea. Experienced a song about US troops coming home dead. That’s why you get the Jimmy Hendrix rift at the end. Come on
There is no better lead today. Period.
Wow just amazing, the crowd singing along, the way Eddie and Mike improvise.. they are one of the greatest bands just for the very reason how their music brings people together. What a moving performance.
This tune always burdens my heart with joyous nostalgia!😞
I love this live...the crowd can participate in any language and it fits right in...
cada vez que escucho esta canción se me destruye el alma, espero algún dia tener el honor de escucharla en vivo
McCready, your guitar riffs are freakin sick mate. Cheers!
