Why is he not being charged for falsifying reports and assault?
They are above the law
Keep in mind that if he got caught this time, there's no telling how many times he's gotten away with it in the past. I suppose, he may have just gotten unlucky and this was genuinely the first time but anybody that's been convicted or ticketed based on his reports is likely to be rexamining the case to see if an appeal is in order.
Exactly we should write the da

Amazing how the public literally pays for this kind of "service". Seems more punishment to have any kind of government these days

I live in this area and its very very corrupted. Had a cop just recently run a man over with his truck while off-duty killing the man and they gave the cop a $25.00 fine.

If I make a false police report, it's a crime. If a cop makes a false police report, it's no big deal. That must change.
Exactly so. Man, the bloody hypocrisy!
It is a crime. A police report is a filing affidavit of probable cause as required by the 4th amendment. This is done under oath and penalty of perjury. The problem is DAs and Judges holding them criminally liable. The DOJ could have stepped in and charged him and the others with 18US241 Conspiracy to deprive and 18US242 Deprivation of rights under the color of law. But we see that they have chosen not to enforce the law. That is why we don't see reform in law enforcement. Not because we don't have the legislation or laws.
I think qualified immunity needs to be scrutinized also.
Yeah it's crazy we live in a country where the supreme Court is ruling on if the president has presidential immunity or not but won't look back to the 67 cases that granted qualified and judicial immunity to protect races police officers and racist judges , I'm what many would consider a racist so I don't like to bring this up but if you look up those cases those immunities were definitely created to protect racist actions. If the supreme Court rules that the president doesn't have immunity but our judges and police officers do we should be very worried and I am not for immunity in any sort I don't think the President should have it I don't think judges should have it and I definitely don't think cops should have it these assholes keep on saying no one is above the law except for us and our armed Coons

He gave her conflicting orders. “Get your ID, step out of the car,” at the same time. Done purposely as to confuse the driver and cause chaos.
Hostile and changing at each moment. This seems to be a tactic they use to confuse the citizen so they can claim obstruction. Not obeying lawful orders that come so quickly that they cannot all be obeyed.

He should also have his LEO certification pulled so he can't go anywhere else and pull this stunt.
The family needs to file assault charges against him
In the absence of a legal remedy, other remedies should be sought. Since the purpose of punishing someone for actions like this is to act as a deterrent, it would be best if whatever remedy is applied is done so with a vehemence and permanent consequence that it terrorizes other officers sufficiently to deter them from acting similarly in spite of their legal privilege. Optimally, the consequences to a misbehaving law enforcement officer would be so breathtaking and dependable that the very idea of special legal protection would be seen as the greater threat to an officer's safety and security.
@@markmiller8853 No. Qualified immunity means they are above CIVIL lawsuits. NOT criminal. The prosecutor is dirty for not charging the cop with perjury and aggravated battery.

All this officers arrests need to be investigated
Why isn't this thug facing criminal charges? He is a violent liar.
Prosecutor is scared of the cops. They'll never go after dirty cops, because all cops are dirty.
Because, according to the government, he is not a criminal. He is a victim. He's a victim of a public gone haywire because they see the truth with their own two eyes. The government sees a cop protecting the community. Remember, they didn't drop the charges and fire the officer because he did something wrong. No, they fired him and dropped the charges in the interest of safety because of "threats."
A victim?! Are you kidding me? He is the furthest thing from a victim, he is the aggressor in this situation, not only to the girl but everyone around him. This happens all the time because cops protect each other. Then when something does happen they are the only ones that get the benefit of being innocent until proven guilty while the rest of us are presumed to be guilty until proven innocent because a cop who doesn't even know the laws he is supposed to enforce says so.
Because they will put him in a jail or another county to work.
Why isnt he facing charges? Because he would get convicted. They only face charges if there is no chance to convict.

Having grown up in rural Indiana and knowing most of the police, this officer's actions are disgusting. It's downright despicable for this to happen, and the fact that the only reason the charges were dropped and the officer fired was because of the prior UA-cam video points to a total breakdown of integrity, duty, and just doing the right fucking thing. He should absolutely be sued into homelessness, prosecuted, and imprisoned.
They need to go after his personally bond that would put him a very different position with policing
Thanks John for helping the family receive justice they deserved.
The real question is when is this cop going to criminally charge with assault and battery and kidnapping of a teenage girl?
Aggravated felony kidnapping. He was armed.
I'm sure he wont face anymore backlash hell go to another town and continue his behavior.
It should be a charge, in and of itself, to abuse your power as a police officer- like planting evidence, providing false testimony, illegal search and seizure...while on duty. They should face double the consequences.
No. The answer is no he won't be criminally charged. That would be accountability, and government wants nothing to with that.
That's my question, too.
The police officer should be facing criminal charges and Federal charges.
As well as his co- conspirator school resource officer, for his abusive conduct toward the random Citizen who tried to drive through the parking lot. Regardless of our job, as humans we should hold one another accountable, the other policeman did not intervene in any way.

I’m 99% certain this case will not fall under qualified immunity. For starters if there was a case that is somewhat similar to this in their jurisdiction then that will take away qualified immunity. Lying on the police report also takes away qualified immunity. The fact that they fired this cop shows that they know he done wrong which will help with a lawsuit but instead of admitting they done wrong they said they fired him for safety reasons. I believe they said safety reasons that way it will be harder to win a lawsuit. Them saying it was for safety reasons was just to cover their tails. Regardless though they will win a lawsuit but when no one is hurt then it’s usually under 50 thousand. Most times if someone wins millions in their lawsuit then someone either died or was seriously hurt.

Why would they? They only barely bothered to fire him. This way he can take a new job as an officer elsewhere without difficulty, which is obviously their goal.
Now tax payers foot the bill instead of personal accountability
@@jeremywanner4526 Personal accountability? Now that's something never spoken in LEO circles, never happens.
@@thedave1771 This azzwipe already has a job a few towns over...
The ex officer has to be charged with assault.
Well, a lawsuit is likely coming from her family. Which is why they got rid of him so quickly.
Bad cops are simply transferred and re-hired (Blue Gang Shortage) into other departments! (There is no REGISTER of fired cops!)
USMC (Semper Fidelis) SGT E-5 (5811)
He didn’t assault her. He pulled her out of her car and cuffed her on the ground after she disobeyed his multiple orders to step out willingly, as is necessary.
@@honkhonk5181 If you believe that then you're an idiot!
@@honkhonk5181 If you listen to the audio, she is telling the officer several times that she is looking for her ID and papers. Her window was down, the officer opened her door and got impatient and yanked her out and tossed her to the ground. Her ID fell onto the ground next to her. She probably was starting to freeze up because she felt threatened by his anger, but was still following his orders. She said please at all times and talked respectively.
Thank you for being a strong, unifying voice for the folks here in the states that struggle to deal with these crazy interactions with law enforcement agencies that abuse their power. You sir, are wonderful.
He should be fired and charged with lying to the public about his poor choice of arresting a civilian for 7 MPH over the speed limit!
BUT ARE THEY GOING TO ARREST THE LIAR FOR ASSAULT ??
He used her as an outlet for his hatred of the high school girls who rightly thought he was/is a creep.
Good insight.
Correct
@@patrickscopas9133 Yes, good insight indeed. All those rejections from years ago can come back and haunt you if you're unable to grow up and cope, and unable change for the better.
She probably resembled a girl he knew in High School that wanted nothing to-do with him! I don't see how any woman would want him! If he is married, what does his wife think of him after this incident? You know darn well he's never told her of such previous incidents! Now she knows, and hopefully she gets rid of the POS!
It was definitely not "off-base" to be worried about this thug's wife/girlfriend
Now that the scumbag is no longer employed as a police officer, she needs to sue him personally.
Mad respect for ya man. Give em hell
The fact that he's not charged and in jail is constitutionally offensive.
The city prosecutor needs to be fired and charged for even filing charges
They always do that to protect those tyrants pigs with badges
The City prosecutor has to rely on the information his or she is given by the police. There is no way in the world that he can investigate every charge for veracity. I do agree that the now ex-cop should be charged for filing a false police report (among other things), which his a crime.
Doesn't that cop know he can't treat white girls like that? Especially if she's not what they used to call white thrash.
@@Shylock10 you can't honestly do your job if you don't have some sort of way to verify the info provided by police is true. this case exemplify the reason why. once you decide to prosecute someone, surely the gas station video as well as the dash cam and body cam are available. these would be crucial to make your case in court. why did the prosecutor ( and his office) not catch this but TCRL did? someone isn't competent at their job.
Absolutely. But what I'm dying to know is; since we all know that pretty much the entire pretext the officer gave for assaulting and falsely arresting (kidnapping) this poor girl is an outright lie, what is the *REAL* reason why he decided to abuse his authority and attack her? She's obviously being completely compliant in the video, so what was this asshat's problem with her? Was he just in the mood to belittle and kidnap some innocent girl that day and thought she'd fit the bill?
This maniac should be arrested.
Sounded like that old guy said that's uncalled for after he yelled at him the first time and then he yelled the second time to, "get off my scene" love how he turns a simple traffic stop into claiming private property as his.
Now, the former officer needs to be charged with kidnapping and assault.
Falsifying a Police Report too.
He was carrying weapons so that would be felony kidnapping
I never thought about kidnapping! Great call!
They fired him and they really want this gone so probably they won’t uphold his qualified immunity. I would look into all the arrests he made. I’m guessing this is not his first power trip arrest! Every one of his cases is subject to review!
@@NavyGal You all need to learn the difference between kidnapping and false imprisonment. No matter how dumb a cop is, they will never be charged with kidnapping for arresting someone. False imprisonment? Yes.
It's because the officer is a liability to the city. It's for them, not us.
Well, yes. It’s one and the same. I don’t expect any empathy from the government, but I do expect them to be aware of consequences
Every time they carry a gun, it's a liability.
Oh absolutely, he's not going to just go become a cook in the town, he's going next town over to be a cop there, 100% no doubt.
yes it helps the city to mitigate this so in court they dont get sued for as much
Not only should he have been fired, but he should never work as a police officer again......
Great job for helping to expose the lies and showing the truth... getting justice where it is deserved!
You were 100% correct about his wife. The way he spoke to the 3rd party driver and his quick temper are red flags.
I came to say this too. Check on the wife is probably a good idea. This guy is off the rails and doesn't seem to even realize it, despite having been pushed into extra training for past errors.
YES!!
He should be charged with perjury for his sworn statement
You misspelled “hired elsewhere and promptly promoted”
Qualified immunity!
'Perjury'
It’s not illegal for cops to falsely their reports.
Me wish grammar were a crime.
That's why he didn't turn on his body cam so it would be his word against hers.
Good! It was an abuse of power and he traumatised that young lady!!!
Cops don’t become psychopaths. Psychopaths become cops.
I think it works both ways. I've seen good people join the police that have these naive, grandiose ideas of "making a difference" or whatever. Usually one of two things will happen. They either 1) quit the police force soon when they find out what it's really all about or 2) they spend so much time with these psychopaths that they become one themselves, like the good kid from high school that fell in with the wrong crowd.
I wonder who else, has this lying cop lied on? And is locked up because of his lies.
In my experience, it's always the case. This is just the one that a) had video b) got exposure c) got exposure by a lawyer who knows what he's doing. Guaranteed, this guy has done this before.
Everyone ever charged by him anywhere at any time should have their record expunged immediately. He is clearly a false witness.
That is the issue... How many other lives did this lying blue line gang member destroy???
I just saw a video of the same officer escalating a situation at a racing event and trying to throw a man down who didn't do anything. He just seems like he wants to assault people and hide behind a badge.
Take it from us, Rodney King and Regnold Denny... Never roll down your window!
Thank you for exposing the corruption and sharing the truth
Stay blessed
Cheers 🍻 from los angeles 😎
It really shouldn't take mass public outrage to get this result.
How about they CHARGE the pig for the assault he committed and the false report he filed? The DA should be fired and charged too: they are all despicable criminals THAT WE PAY FOR!
Well, let's go get them and administer some justice.
Not all. These give them all a bad rep.
As I understand it he cannot be charged with false report until he has given an affidavit to the court that it is a true and accurate account of events.
With very few exceptions, they'd rather protect the criminals in their midst than act with integrity.
@@dhtango In the first video it showed the now fired cop saying to his supervisor on scene what happened, he explained how she cracked the window and then says how because she did not get out the car he pulled her out and slammed her to the floor. During all of this the supervisor is seemingly accepting everything he says as routine procedure. The supervisor should have asked "why did you want her out of the car, did you suspect she had a weapon? Why did you reasonbly suspect her to have a weapon?" "Why did you slam her to the floor? What reason was there for that level of force?" Supervisor and the culture of US cops is the problem.
The POWER of social media!!! Don't stop, keep the tar and feathers well stocked and ready.
a LEO blatantly lying in their report should be a minimum of a year in prison....minimum
Title 18, United States Code, Section 1519 is an obstruction of justice charge. The statute allows for a 20 year maximum sentence. In reality, he will not get more than 5 years under the Federal Sentencing Guidelines.
18 months for felony assault.
Should be a FELONY, so he has a criminal record and can no longer be hired as a LEO.
"Get off my scene!!" That guy doesn't belong in any type of public service role.
Thanks so much for covering this! Imagine a life where this happens daily! It would be horrid!
