There is NO such thing as a Consensual Encounter with police. Police make encounters appear consensual to deceive their target. Cops are psychopathic meaning they employ two styles, one benevolent, the other malevolent (good cop / bad cop). DON'T TALK TO COPS!
I would hate living in a neighbourhood like that filled with nosey neighbours it would suck.
It's ironic that there was no physical fighting between the exes & the peace officer's intervention broke her jaw.
To be honest John, you with a beard reminds me of Metro Man from the Megamind movie.

How ironic that the cops going to a domestic violence call end up being the ones who actually do the violence.
They are MUCH more proficient at it than civilians, since over 40% of them abuse their partners!

This is due to wokeness. Defunded police, lack of training, lack of properly identifying situations because "das racist" etc, etc... you would never see this before modern day wokeness, people understood a 65 y/o white woman, is NOT a deadly threat and it's ABSOLUTELY NORMAL to treat her differently than some 22 y/o thug with 27 priors.

They intentionally profile and hire psychopaths. They're in every fkn city!
you are erecting a strawman. The fact is the cops got a domestic violence all. That is documented. That means they MUST interview each person separately and it is treated as reasonable suspicion already exists. You may not like the law, and I may or may not, but that doesn't change the fact of the laws on this that have been passed. She cannot walk away while he is investigating. He MUST investigate by law, and has to cuff her if she flees.
Nothing i saw was nessary. A 25 or 30 year old policeman attacked a 60 year old woman breaking her jaw, shoving her head into a brick wall. And now he wants her to buy him a new uniform!pretty sad.
Snowflake cops who don't know how to do their job.
A MALE OFFICER AT THAT!!!
She's actually 64, and although she looks quite youthful and robust, a woman's bones tend to get brittle after menopause and fracture more easily. A man should never hit a woman of any age as the strength disparity is enormous even between men and young women, and serious injury to the woman can easily happen.
This policeman is nothing but a violent, ego-ridden bully, and the only valid reason he could have given for hitting her was if she had been threatening him with a deadly weapon, which she was not. She displayed no aggression towards him at all, simply made it clear verbally that she thought he was being ridiculous... which he was, and his childish ego couldn't handle it. He needs to be locked up for what he did to her.

They already offered her $115K, but she is holding out for the million. I hope she gets it.
Sadly, in some situations, if a boot licking jury gets ahold of this, she may only get her doctor bills and attorney fees. There is a chance that if less is given then was offered, she will get nothing. It depends on what state this was in, I did not catch it, if it was told. Finding that the officer used “excessive force” is one thing - but did they rule that she never should have been arrested in the first place?! Make the Police Union pay for the settlement. See how fast they start monitoring their own.
Abolish qualified immunity 🇺🇸
They certainly shouldn't have that, but it wouldn't make any difference, prosecutors and judges always side with them regardless
So you abolish judicial immunity as well both qualified and judicial immunities were granted from the supreme Court in the 67 to protect racist cops and racist judges, qualified immunity was granted to protect racist cops who arrested 15 black people sitting in a white bus waiting area in a recently desegregated state so it's illegal to have a white waiting area judicial immunity was granted to protect a judge that ruled in favor of the store owner because a black person was in their business in a recently segregated state these immunities were granted so they cannot be found liable for violating these people's rights all we have to do is get enough black people to realize these protections that have been used against them constantly were created in the womb of racism if it's pushed hard enough we might be able to get rid of these immunities under the guides they were created to protect racist
@@StopTargetingOurKids It would certainly make a difference buddy. Not sure if you know this, but when a case goes to trial, the verdict is generally determined by a jury of our fellow US citizens. Not some judge. The only reason their crimes go unanswered is qualified immunity. The main point is that victims would be able to sue the officer personally instead of only being able to sue the department. You could completely ruin an officers life, which is the way it should be. It is irrelevant if the cop can state any crime. He doesn't need to at this point. There was a 911 call and he was investigating what was in front of him at that moment. The woman was belligerent and argumentive. She does not get to decide when the investigation is completed.
When he told her she was under arrest, again, she does not get to decide the cop is wrong. If she disagrees she will have every opportunity to argue that in court. Because she was injured while violently resisting, she is responsible for any injury she received. Bryan knows this but is being disingenuous in his explanation.
I usually agree with Bryan's take on incidents, but not here. I do not see her prevailing at all. Just because IA found the force was excessive does not mitigate her violent resisting.
@@alanmcentee9457 I bet you've never been illegally arrested for something you didn't do, so until you have, nobody's trying to hear your bull$hit about "just let the cops arrest you so you can sit in jail then deal with it in court"...fck that because you won't be reimbursed legal fees or time served or loss of work/job
He is supposed to be a peace officer. The only one breaching the peace is the officer. When he walked up and didnt witness anything wrong, he should have left. He created the problem, because his ego was hurt.
That cop is an idiot, trying to push that woman to be angry.
Why is this officer not in jail for assault, and made to pay restitution to her out of HIS pocket.
He is trained to do this by our government
Ha, a cop being held accountable is like finding a gold bar in your attic. Sure, it happens but only once in a lifetime.
Because he's not one of us mere citizens. He's a cop, which makes him a super special citizen who plays by other rules( not the ones written down for him to play by).
Agree
He will
Loud talking, raising your voice, and even angry yelling is not "domestic violence", it's either disturbing the peace or a noise violation. When the cop showed up, the argument/noise had not escalated, it had already subsided. You don't forcefully arrest and break someone's jaw for a noise violation, especially one you didn't even observe! This cop is an obvious danger to the public.
It's actually definitely abuse. Sadly there's not much you can usually do about it.
@Dubinski2382 yep, because if that was a man no one would be caring about this case. It woupd have not even reach 50k.

When both paerties say nothing is going on. end of the cops authority. This practice needs to stop!
That's assault and battery. He should be in prison.
Being in a verbal argument is not a crime. That cop wanted to flex his authority and boss the lady around, that is all. 😡
She said I'm not going in cuffs and he said oh yes you are
Mhmm. From the go
Precedent is you can even tell them they're shit or call them most names or flip then off to their face.

And what is worse... I think it's because she refused to take her hands out of her 1" pockets, told him she can pace if she feels like it, etc.
The only thing softer than Charmin Ultra is a cop with an ego!!
Nah Charmin can hold up to pressure
Char!min doesn't fall apart when an acorn falls on it either
Or a soy boy cop calling Daren

landlord need to be jailed for a false report
That neighbor is a coward for calling the cops imo
Exactly. People call police for conflicts they can resolve on their own by communicating like a human being.
The Boudiful Utah Police Department has a Google page for reviews... If anyone was curious about where to voice their concerns for Greta Jensen, regarding the assault committed by officer John (Joe-Bear...? Yeah, IDK how to spell that sht.)

The only thing she did was challenge his authority and tell him how ridiculous he was being and bruised his ego.
When your authority can only be asserted by violence, then it is no authority at all.
All of this just to assert dominance and control on an unarmed woman that didn’t want to talk to him that’s not breaking the law
I’m glad she sued

His certification should be removed. Never allowed to work in law enforcement again and prison time

Loss his job - yes
Be in jail - absolutely yes
He's negligent... but she's no elderly women in her mind. She's a wrecker... she don't deserved this, but she really looked for it.
When you decide to fight you open yourself up for retaliation. Same situation as don't bring a knife to a gun fight.
Do you know that anyone, including an Ex or neighbor that dislikes you, can call the cops and accuse you of something you did not do. When they come they can make you do drug test, even though you are showing no signs of it after them harassing you for an hour, insist on taking you for a drug test at the hospital & when it comes back no drugs they leave you stranded at the hospital.
A neighbor claimed I stalked her. I had been out of town at my fathers for 2 and a half months. I was home only 2 weeks when she made that claim. One dai I came home from a Christian bookstore to pick up a book I ordered, went to another store to buy my boyfriend a birthday present, and then went to Tropical Smootjue. As I arrived to my home, there were 2 cop cars at my house. I got out of my car and a female cop asked my name, I told her, then she slams my 100 pound petite body against her car and whipped my arms around my back and arrested me. My left arm doesn’t have full range of motion (titanium rod inserted) and that really hurt when she did that. I asked what in the world is going on and she said she didn’t know, but was told to come here and arrest me. On the way to jail, she got a fax in her car saying the arrest warrant says I stalked someone. I told her you got the wrong person. Too much to say, but that the case was dismissed. The neighbor was a disabled crack head. I got bail at 5,000 dollars and had to pay a bondsman $500 for no crime. Corrupt to the core. I have never had any criminal history, I suppose one has to be created on me. Please find another planet I can move to.
Make it mandatory that cops study episodes of Adam-12.

Her showing up regularly and being heard "yelling" might qualify over time, but this is a clear case of getting her trespassed out of there, not domestic abuse or need for violence.
Not true. DV, at least in Australia can be as little as sitting in your car outside someones house - stalking. You don't even need to talk to them.
@There-Is-No-Virus Australia has very different laws. I'm in Canada, and it's very different.

Yeah. And it was hearsay that alleged that nothing criminal had happened.
The reason for the thorough after-action investigation was to validate his actions.
Wait that is the dumbest logic ever. It is not on the burden of proof to prove you are innocent. That is how police get you caught up in statements. "Well if you are innocent, why wouldnt you want to talk with us??" Because too many innocent people have gotten caught up and arrested trying to do just that.
