  • Hi All,
    In this Video I review the Woolpower LITE, 200 and the 400 clothing range. i've worn these over the past 12 months and I really do think these are the warmest and most robust tactical and outdoor clothing on the market today.
    They are made in Sweden and their expert technology has allowed for a very special product. Their goal is keeping you warm in the harshest weather therefore keeping you safe and allows mission critical operations to stay on track. Their track record for the Swedish military is track back through history but in the UK and USA they are known to very few.
    If you need clothing thats as hardcore and as capable as you are look no further. Certainly a premium item, but will stand the test of time, over and over again.
    Lastly, Thanks for checking out this review. I really hope it helps you.
    (If your new to the channel consider a subscribe and if you like this video, hit that like button, it really helps the channel out, I certainly appreciate your support). I test outdoor gear of all different types and my testing is always thorough, usually over 6 months, on average, sometimes more. If I dont like something I will not recommend it, as I dont want you to waste your money! buy right, buy once, right?.

    I’ve had the 600 full zip since 2008 and it’s still in excellent condition. I wear it with a merino t shirt and a thin merino hoodie if it’s really cold.

    Nice review! I’m in the USA and recently learned about Woolpower, made in Sweden. I also own several items made in Sweden by the very fine brand Klattermusen. I was a bit put off by the tendency of WP garments to pill, however I think you put it in a positive light by calling the pilling “character.” I purchased their zip neck sweater/shirt and look forward to wearing it. Stay warm!

      Thanks Joel, I think you really like it. The best bit is how they deal with moisture control and keeping you warm. But as they as designed for military use the washing instructions are very normal so they are built robustly. Which weight zip did you go for. My 200 and 400 are defo my favourites. Just make me enjoy the cold more.

      Hi buddy, I wear it for all my winter training. It's superb. I really trust it and as you say it's great quality. I'm not buying anything else but these from now on. Once you go woolpower.. You never go back. 😉

      Did you know that every garment from Woolpower has the seamstress name on it, pretty cool detail 👍🏻

    why would you wear cotton directly on your skin? it scotches all properties of the merino wool.

      The woolpower clothing is a merino wool blend it's very warm and I usually don't need much else. I really love the 400, it's very versatile

      Cotton is no no no under Merino Wool. Try that here in Northern Norway during winter, then you will have a problem pretty soon.

      @UCEQHJEfvNBJTQTkNwsXFflg Very close, Narvik 🙂. Merino wool is a good base layer of course, but I would also recommend a base layer in netting. Brynje, a Norwegian company produces those, both in wool and polypropylene. The Wool version are of course more expensive, but both works great for a inner layer. All norwegian outdoor people have those. They are light, warm, breaths good, transport moisture very good and dries fast. But they are very ugly 😅

    How would you say the sizing is? If i get the 200 in size S, should i then also get the 400 in S?

    • @AlphaPews
      @AlphaPews  Рік тому

      Good question buddy. I have all same sizes. They stretch nicely tho. Woolpower say close fitting is the way to go. I'm size L and all of mine are L size and fit nicely together. When I'm on my bike MTB the lite and 200 are a perfect winter combo. In autumn the lite top is ideal. The 400 is way too warm unless it's lower than 5 deg C

      @@AlphaPews I'm looking for winter layers for camping. I would like the 400 to sit around my tent or campfire in the evening. But I can't decide if I should get the 200 or the lite as a layer to sleep in/use as base layer during the day.

    • @AlphaPews
      @AlphaPews  Рік тому +2

      400 is nice for more static. I'd say you will get more from the 200 as it's cozy.

    • @AlphaPews
      @AlphaPews  Рік тому +1

      The lite is great for running and riding and as a layer but for the price I think there are cheaper merino layers that might serve the purpose. I'd say go with 200 and 400.

    Washing upto 60°C? Doesn't it shrink ?

    • @AlphaPews
      @AlphaPews  3 роки тому +1

      Nope. It's awesome. I personally wash at 30 mostly. Don't use fabric softener either. These are military spec garments so are very easy to care for. I've spent many days in the field wearing it and it also doesn't make you smell. Top kit!
