Local dialect? "Uh ah da back feet uh ah da front feet" Sounds like a caveman trying to learn words. And why does he have a Scottish twang here and there too. I know he's up north like but does he forget how North he's ment to sound?

Some people ditch their machine on the street for a filter issue. We collect them, empty the filter and resell them. So thank you very much for the free goods, we take great care of them and they have a second life 😎
People obviously wasn't brought up correctly. I've always emptied my pockets when i get home and then I check pockets before they go on washer. It's so easy, I think people are just lazy.
@@Little_Sidhe You can also get by with furniture sliders (look like coasters for the legs of your furniture. Use the felt-bottomed ones on hard, smooth floors, and the smooth-bottomed ones on carpet.
@@JemmaGuaney I can think of a few reasons: 1) Cost. Wheels cost more than rubber or plastic feet. 2) Balancing. Screw-type feet to level the machine once you emplace it are difficult and/or expensive if you also add wheels. 3) Cost-benefit. Wheels would be handy during that one time of installation, but appliance dollies have wheels. 4) Vibration. Particularly in spin cycle, a washing machine can be off-balanced and move around. Wheels, even if locked, would allow more lateral movement than those solid feet.
Of course I knew about the bottom filter, but not anything about the coin catcher 😮! You learn something new EVERY day 😂. Thanks for the above advice ❤
My mum was worried about a rattling noise in the washing machine and called me. I’m not an appliance tech. I listened and reckoned it was coming from the rear of the machine. I did just what you did, opened the pump housing and that was when the penny dropped. It was a one penny coin.

I have a Beko washer had it for a number of years now , mine has a tube that you can dran the pump with which makes it so much easier, you can drain it into bottles , then when opening the pump you get a small trickle of water if not completely drained . None of this hassle. I cant imagine calling someone out to drain the pump for me 😂
Perfect timing, I'm having this exact issue at the moment. I was washing my clothes and it got stuck on the wash cycle and wouldn't drain and go to the rinse cycle no matter what we did so my clothes are stuck in the machine in soapy water right now. The Local repair man is coming today to fix it. :)
Half of my jobs as a whitegoods technician were for the simple things. When I got a job from a real estate agent for a Hoover dryer not working, I knew I would be an easy job. Make sure power is on, select time, close door, PUSH DOOR BUTTON IN, dryer turns on. Customer renting the place was amazed every time 😂😅
I used to repair commercial machines had so many pump jams sometimes they would burn out the pump motor or damage the impeller to the point it was ineffient. In the end i used a endoscope and three jaw flexible grabs removed 80 percent of them without large scale pump dissassembly and could check impeller for sever damage requiring pump replacement. Love those slides great idea.

I did this on mine, it flooded so much, I couldn’t believe how much came out!!! but I didn’t know about tipping it up and putting a bucket under it, I wouldn’t have attempted that so I just got my kids on standby with towels and mops lol
My sister likes going thrift shopping for clothes. She came back home from college and tried washing it all at the same time. I had to do that twice before she made small enough loads that can drain out OK and not clog the drain filter.
at least 3 or 4 calls over 10 are blocked pumps... the worst is when the you get no water from the filter cause you have a sock or similar stuck on the sump...
I've repaired a few washing machines in my time: Biggest reason for the water not draining? The wires from bras jamming the pump. Shame those wires did not record the sights they must have seen over the years.......
I always check pockets. Not because I don't want to lose £1 etc but because I hate cleaning out the machine of forgotten tissues that go everywhere and means I have to re wash the load.
This is a common one I always had with out last Hotpoint washer dryer but in the end it was the heater element for the dryer which gave out so we replaced it with a separate washer and dryer
Lost my curb chain other day, Found it in the filter of my machine. Lucky it didn’t flow away with the water! But it didn’t stop my machine from working ?? Also pulled out 12£in coins and countless nails/screws cause my other half forgets to empty his pockets. Still worked with all that in it. Crazy that a bit of ribbon stopped this one 😂
Interesting yall have hot point because that’s a GE product here in the states. I know Haier owns the ge part of appliances so I’d imagine it’s a haier
I did similar to this myself a few weeks ago, washer wasn't draining or spinning, just filling with water. my son had crap in his pockets and blocked the little fan in the filter with a tiny pin. 🙄. No issues since.
It’s a monumental flaw in washing machines that this critical access is located in a place where - for 99% of all people - it can only be used to flood the room. There probably isn’t really an easy solution, though. A good reminder to never put the washing machine directly on the floor.
Word of advice these sliders aren’t very any good on heavy machines like Miele. What you need is Alteo Whiterock - polypropylene board and cut to standard size of washing machine, then just cut out holes for ur hand to fit through. It gives you some much more control and moving power.
I still cannot believe the average human doesn't in know how to perform these tasks. It's a great post, but such a basic feature and function of any machine. People are so poor at self sufficiency these days.
Top loaders are worse in every metric. Use way more water, more power, less drum space and rougher on clothes plus spins slower so clothes usually come out wetter. The only real benefit is they’re cheaper than a front loader
Always have a water vac to control water. If you don't have. Sliders, just spray some polish or something lubricant on under the machine legs to pull machine out smoothly. Always check waste a d supply pipes are long enough or disconnected to allow full withdrawal
Had a old mechanical timer that was broken, washer was full and boss was upset that I didn’t have a pump. I was like not problem and manually bridged the controller to activate the pump to drain the water.

I’m astounded people no longer seem to check pockets. It’s the first thing my mum taught me about washing. 40+ years ago
Same here.
People are lazy, takes an extra 30 seconds to check pockets.
It was only 1 x £1 coin over a year or few.

The word "the" does not exist in Yorkshire
Only parts. I’m from Yorkshire and I say ‘the’ whenever it’s needed, but this guy is the epitome of Yorkshire

The same kind of T as when saying “but” using the back of your mouth not your teeth

On Samsung washers, it's behind a flap in the front, and it has a relief hose so you can fill and dump a cup 30 times instead of making a big mess.
