The rig and gear talk are one of your best features brother you’ve taken the top spot as my fav UA-cam fisherman I appreciate the time and effort you put in to entertain us
There are really only a small handful of channels that I'll click on immediately when a new video comes out. You have a humble patient, genuineness about you that is thoroughly enjoyable and very watchable. I love how you enjoy fishing on your boat way out at the rigs, or in the bay fishing from the shore, in a roadside ditch, happy to catch a catfish, croaker, pomps, rays, sharks, reds. Whatever it is, you're happy to have a bent rod, just like me :)
I was recommended your videos by UA-cam. I've watched 4 so far. I like the beach and pier fishing the most since that's where I mostly fish. And it's easy to see you don't need a boat to catch good fish. However, watching you fish the jetties from your boat was fun to watch. Edit: I like how you go over the rigs you use. I learned something new today.
As a beginner fisherman I appreciate the explanations and the rigging I also fish off the gulf so this has actually improved my success rate Keep ‘em coming
Great video if you are not blessed to be born in our great state,, as we where, and serverd our country, and get to enjoy everything our state has to offer, keep spreading the word, thank you
From someone who is moving to Florida and is from Oklahoma I love the tackle break down I actually like taking notes so once I move maybe some of your experience I can use to catch some fish
Learned so many things from you. Enjoy everything from the oil rig fishing in the gulf to some good ol bank fishing on a canal. I just started fishing a few months ago and caught a nice bull red recently using some of the techniques I learned from you. I owe you one 😁
You make great informative videos and it is great that you explain your own opinions on techniques without being cocky! You also respect the wildlife. Totally enjoy your work!
Funny I was in the Middle of asking what size was legal and you started answering my question. Pretty crazy. Thanks. Best video. Alot of good information
We were at the exact same spot you were at about 2 months ago, wore out the whiting, wife caught a 4 ft shark and I broke off the biggest thing I have ever hooked into, 6500 reel, 50lb braid, and 100lb leader. My favorite place to be.
Nice bro. I guided in many diff parts of the world on fly. Spent 2 years guiding pensacola/bama line. def one of my fav spots still this day. good stuff.
Thanks for some great videos. I’m watching you from the UK🇬🇧🎣. Love how many species you can catch in one day and what a beautiful location. I really envy you! Keep up the good work love your videos.Graham
Awesome channel Captain..Look forward to your content and love the fact that you have a great boat but will absolutely just go knee deep to do what you enjoy... God bless
Been wanting to get back into my childhood fun which was fishing and I gotta tell you," your channel above the ones I've watched have been so fun." Not to take anything away from anyone else's but your presentation seems so wholesome and genuine. Your energy is very God fearing and loving. Keep up the great work bro. Also really enjoy you teaching the clean and cook process. You definitely seem really appreciate of the organic aspect of it. Great job.
Living vicariously is all I can do now that I moved away from the beach. God, I miss it so much. Maybe I'll swing by when I visit family this November, but I hate the cold winds xD Loving the videos!
I'm planning on doing some surf fishing in the near future and this video inspires me as I just found your channel. Love your enthusiasm and looking forward to seeing more content. You've got yourself a new subscriber. Thanks for sharing. Cheers from Canada.
I subscribed and keep watching because you are so thorough with explaining your equipment and rigs. Keep it up, you’re doing great. Quick question: is that leader combo something you would use while bottom fishing offshore? If not, why?
Btw if u see one of those ghost crabs they scavenge the beach and eat baby turtles👍 idk about u but it’s on site with those things for me😂😂 great video I swear I learn something new EVERY TIME I watch one.
Thx for the relaxing fishing video. My 3 yr old daughter loves watching them with me! I noticed sometimes you retrieve with rod up and other times with rod parallel to the water. Is there a reason? Thx again for sharing
Hi there, love the vids. I'm a competitive angler from Namibia, Southern Africa and i target mainly non-edible species such as bronze whalers, spotted gulley sharks and a few other species as well as edible fish. Very interested in your rig as it is much different than the rigs we use here as well as your rod choice. We use 14' -15.6' rods with reels like the Shimano Saragosa, Stella, Twinpower and Penn Slammers and spinfishers in their bigger sizes. Next time im at the beach im definetly tying up one of your rigs and seeing if it will work in our waters. Hope you see this comment and TIGHT LINES!!!!!
Love the tip on the rig. Where were you fishing exactly? I normally hit up destin and pcb as I'm in Enterprise Al, aka fort rucker. I was 1st Cav as well 08-13 with 3-227 air cav
Hello just wanna say how much I enjoy your videos!! I just recently moved to Southern Alabama near Gulf Shores. I am very interested in surf fishing is there a certain area where I have to go to surf fish and can you recommend a good rod and reel not to expensive for catching whiting, red fish or sheep’s head? Could you please give ideas for rigs for beginners? I’ve never fished the ocean
First and foremost I want to thank you for your service to this great country! We were on a beach in Fort Morgan today and got to see the blue angels doing some maneuvers above us.
Just a tip . If you get stung by a stingray, seek some hot water to soak the wound in, but of course water not hot enough to burn you .. The hot water will take the pain away but if the barb is stuck in, you seek medical attention . The hot water is only for relief of stinging pain .. I speak from experience from taking a sting ...pain is really bad . The hot water was applied in the emergency room
I did not use a shock leader on this trip, I sometimes do, and find a nice 25yd. mono shock leader does help absorb an aggressive strike, but I do like to minimize my connections to just a few knots.
The rig and gear talk are one of your best features brother you’ve taken the top spot as my fav UA-cam fisherman I appreciate the time and effort you put in to entertain us
Awesome, glad I can help! I love it
Agreed!
Dont apologize for being so thorough naturally when filming.. Thats what makes your videos the best IMO. Loving the frequent content lately
I totally agree with you, I’m interested in his rigs and set ups. Now I gotta order some red fish rigs 😁.

Thank you for your kind words! It's great to hear positive encouragement
Being watching lots of video, I must the most straight forward and frank video for beach fishing. Bravo using simple baits and simple knots
I was recommended your videos by UA-cam. I've watched 4 so far. I like the beach and pier fishing the most since that's where I mostly fish. And it's easy to see you don't need a boat to catch good fish. However, watching you fish the jetties from your boat was fun to watch.

This channel is a hidden gem! You deserve the 1M plate!
Thanks for the kind words!!
Love the rigging TTPs, keep 'em coming. Great video!
What a dozer of a redfish...great job! Hooah!
Awesome video... feels like there with you, you present so well... good fishin!
We was on the point this morning but the seaweed pushed us off looks like you had a better spot. We were watching the air show on the beach
Love hearing the detailed explanations of the rigs, really sets the channel apart.
Also love the commitment to healthy releases.
Great video, be who you are 1st CAV.
I always enjoy your videos! Very informative. Keep posting!
I subscribed and keep watching because you are so thorough with explaining your equipment and rigs. Keep it up, you’re doing great.
Quick question: is that leader combo something you would use while bottom fishing offshore? If not, why?
You could! I would just change the weight style to more of a bank sinker. I tie one very similar for snapper fishing with an egg weight
Please stop saying you may be boring us! Your videos are amazing. When I catch catfish off the beach, they go in my crab traps on the bay side. 😉
Btw if u see one of those ghost crabs they scavenge the beach and eat baby turtles👍 idk about u but it’s on site with those things for me😂😂 great video I swear I learn something new EVERY TIME I watch one.

Another Great Video! Definitely going to come try my luck! But first I have to get stocked from your online store !
Love your channel! Didn't know mobile bay had a beach like that - thought it was Periodo - anyway thanks much - always buying your rigs

I will be down at Orange Beach at the beginning of December. What advice do you have for shore or pier fishing at that time? Thanks!
I enjoyed this.. thank you!
Sick video! Wow that setup casts super far
Excellent presentation and the video looks fantastic. The only thing I don't like is that you got lots more years to do this than I do!
insane bull red. he would have made great eating. crazy to see someone release it.
Just ordered a couple of your redfish rigs, can't wait to try. Love your videos man

Nice Cast!
if he does have viewers that don’t like the rig and gear setup which is weird he should make a second channel abt his rigs and gears an set ups

Enjoyed this video. If you are in North Carolina then check out Ft. Fisher. Civil war history. I have fished in that area many times over the years.
I caught a nice red fish on the pier at fort Morgan today

Dang good video bro, thanks for sharing your information and instructions ✅💥✌️
Nice Accurate reel.
Going to be there day after Christmas..👍
That setup is friggin legit. $1000 reel.
Sorry if I missed it, but do you use a shock leader?
