I have to tell you….Although I do love to fish, I’m not usually particularly interested in watching others do so. Your honesty, humbleness, skill and most of all your respect for what you catch make you a pleasure to watch. I believe that even if you had a channel that showed nothing but you shoveling horse manure you’d still receive the love you do on this channel. It’s more about you than the content. (Although I do give you kudos for your content as well.)You seem like a very nice guy and it’s not luck that you do as well as you do. Keep it up. You’re a pleasure to watch.

You know what's great about your videos? I feel like we're out on the beach hanging out and catching some stud blues together in the sun. I'm actually just sitting at my desk avoiding work, but you have the ability to let people just mentally get away for a while and relax. I asked my wife for one of your sweatshirts for my birthday. I'll let you know next week if she came through!

Great videos! I'm 77 & learned a trick from my Mom about blues. She told me to fillet them & soak them in milk for 1 hour plus, if it's very large. I recall watching the oil rise to the surface of the milk. Sweetest fish fillet I ever ate! My dad & I used to catch 20+ lb. blues off shore from Stone Harbor, NJ. Lived in Ocean City, NJ-now in south AL.

I would love to get some tips from you and try a knife from your sponsor Sord fillet knife fishing for my family. Ordered a lot of gear even a toadfish rod. Also 2 shimanos that you use. I want to catch and cook for my family the week i am there. Who knows I could teach you something.

Haven’t fished with any thing like fish bights in years. Didn’t get any action on them but it is nice for tipping a tender piece of shrimp with that 3ozs. Know you aren’t fishing “on credit”.pick up some flounder strips or something leather like next time I go to store. I am not a beginner. But I am in the market for some new gear. I think even veterans and definitely beginners really appreciate all the descriptions of your gear and specifics on stuff like hooks. I hope it helps,Worth a sub & like from me.

really late to the party here however I do hope you get a chance to see this. When you have a sand flea take a knife and just poke a very small hole at the back side where the shell is there is a small tringle looking area that you can poke into with out going all the way through. this will allow you to put the hook through with a little more security and will not dull your hook as much as if you were to just push it through the shell.

No doubt pound for pound a Bluefish is the toughest fish in the sea. I had a guy disagree with me stating tuna in harder. I asked him the last time he landed a 250 lb. blue? I told him you would need a backhoe to land it

If you've ever bought 'bay scallops' from a seafood counter, you've eaten stingray. Bluefish is an ideal fish to keep if you grind your own chum and freeze it in small plastic tubs.

I was in Orissa, in East India, and the kids were fishing from the beach with lines wrapped around bottles. Some kids caught a ray and they were hopping around so I gave them my leatherman penknife, thinking they they would get the hook out and put it back. They snapped the poisonous spines off it and took it to eat.

  • @youknoweverything7643

Never have luck with fish bites with same exact setups you used in the surf never caught anything I tried every color and type of fish bite there is nothing ever but as soon as I toss some berkly gulp shrimp or minnows I tear up pompano and red fish in the surf. But I'm not a huge real bait guy because I can catch more fish on artificial them anyone can with live or dead fresh bait cuse there is so much good article baits and lures and spoons out there you can tear up fish with the right setup like my mirror lure black on gold eel with chartrose tail on 3/8 jig head and bounce it off the bottom at piers and banks in the bay side and tear up speckled trout and redfish and flounder my specs on that setup with a spinning reel and a medium light bass rod I catch 20-28 inch trout every time I go and limit our in 45 minutes deadly setup for all three types of salt water fish. Now lady fish I will use as bait for shark blue fish red fish I tear up sharks with a good quarter of the fish on a huge circle hook and tear up monster reds and sharks and guys sharks black tips really good eating if done right. I live down here on the gulf coast would love to show you my deadly speckled trout setup for bank fishing piers and banks on the bay side in calmer water I have done it in the surf if I go out and walk out to a sand bar and swim but I use a kayak and go out past the surf to get Emm didn't know that was called a fish finder rig I been doing that for years surface fishing and in smaller versions for huge channel as md blue cats in fresh water I thought I made that setup up myself and thought nobody knew about it but now I know it's a real rig. I don't like blue fish at all to oily for me not my fav fish to eat but probably due to me getting monster specs every weekend and redfish in my freezer. And also of you put a spoon down there by your hook on that fish finder rig you will tear up some redfish and a mahi mahi aka dauphin as we call Emm down here. I love going off shore out of orange beach such a beautiful ride out during sunrise and sunset on way back in I love living down here on the gulf coast of bama
