Newbies Learn to Sail on 100 Nautical Mile Passage with No Engine

It's high time we get to safety as hurricane season is in full swing, but as we go to leave Utila, Honduras, WE RUN OUR ENGINE DRY (tear). Now, we have a choice; wait months for an engine repair and parts or learn to sail? It's around 100 nautical miles to the safe zone in the Rio Dulce of Guatemala, but will we make it?
