It's great to be back! We're launching our newest build series with this video, and working on the Jupiter 2 in the background (a final reveal for that kit will be coming soon).
This is going to be a very in-depth and detailed series, everyone, so strap yourselves in as we work on this great model from Polar Lights!

I've built one for my father as well as the ISS Enterprise and USS Potemkin. I still have my own Enterprise to build one day. These are always fun to build , but always nice to see build videos of these. Look forward to seeing your progress.
Looking forward to this Shawn. I have had mine forever too. Hopefully this will inspire me to build mine.

I built the refit shortly after it was released, and after I sold it I swore I'd never build another one unless they came out with the original Enterprise and man this is tempting. Plus there is a lot of new stuff out now a days compared to when I built the refit.
I've also got the NX-01 in my stash and I'm going to save that one until I'm ready to properly light it. But I think that watching your build through I'll learn a lot and hopefully get the confidence I need to start that project :)
Wow, what a compliment! Thank you! The NX was definitely a little bit of a challenge to light; you need to use the 0805's or smaller on the nacelles. You should have fun though, I knocked it out in a few days. The hardest part was definitely the putty work, so be prepared to do a lot on that and a significant amount of touch-up.
Again sorry, there is a channel i think you would be very interested in. It's called Mr Trek, he is building the original film version of your model in 1/25 SCALE. He's doing every deck, a fully scaled bridge, everything all out of thick card. Next year he is going to build it in wood to 1/25 scale being the biggest 1701 Enterprise in the world. He's already been mentioned in the Washington Post. Please take a look i think you will want to follow him.

Hi again, sorry i got it wrong, he is building the Enterprise refit.
Hi loving it so far, when it comes to the shuttle bay are you going to paint it out etc just like the movie.There is a modeler named Built by Rock who so far is the only person ive seen who is building this model exactly as it is supposed to be and look. No one else in the years has done this they have done their own paint job even well known on UA-cam have got it wrong.
