Shawn, just an awesome build!! Your finish just looks perfect and you created a wonderful base! Just outstanding. I am glad our products worked well for you and thank you for your support.
Thank you, David! The board I got is from Electronics123, it was about $20. It's not the *easiest* to get going but there are some OK videos on UA-cam. It has 4 buttons, each of which can be customized (you connect the board to a PC with USB). The board is nice because it has a 1.5 mm jack on it, which let me plug in powered speakers (also about $20)... the speaker that comes with the board is not good at all
Looks fantastic Shawn. I'll have to catch up on your build. Just haven't been able to watch lately. I'm really glad you are ok as far as your health. Don't want to take any chances with that. You have too many models to build still!
The control panel compliments the model very well Shawn. I think it is better to have dimmer 'Jelly Beans', than the ship lights, the star of the display. If I ever build this kit there would be a tube conduit as part of the stand or nearby prop with GNDN printed on it and a GSDS on the power cord as a nod to the inside joke, the first as seen from the show meaning, Goes Nowhere Does Nothing. The second, Goes Somewhere Does Something. I have the 1/350 Enterprise Refit and have designed and built a multi position stand to enable pitching the model any direction from level. Using the Trekmodeler Warp 8 light and sound kit. Hope to have it done by July. Thanks for sharing.
Wow! That sounds cool! Send me pics if you like and I'll be sure to share on the channel here... starting with the next build series, I'll be showcasing some work submitted by viewers on each video
Thanks Jesse! I have a build series on that here on the channel. ..and, I have *4* more of em!! Enterprise C is my favorite starship of all time, so when they released it recently I stocked up ! 😃
Thank you, Pop! I'm sorry for the delayed response. I'll be picking up work on the Jupiter 2 in the next day or so.. I needed to order some white lights for it (the same one I wanted to put in the sensor dome). They came in TODAY so I will be finishing her up soon. I apologize for the delay in that but she'll be in the mail to you within a couple weeks if all goes well!
Absolutely amazing. Is this the one you gifted to DC? Babylon 5 was the first show to get space lighting correct. And they got criticism for that initially.
