Saw this last night ! Looking good. I do have this kit, and looking forward to mine...some day! I also have the 1701A which I will probably build first, need to clear the bench! Keep up the great work! I'm still watching!
When working on the neck, which I learned from Boyd's builds, you may want to mask off the parts where they slide into the saucer and secondary hull when you go to paint your base coat. There's not much wiggle room when you slide the neck in place. I've learned the hard way and had to hammer the neck into the saucer for my Enterprise build I built for my father.

Yes, that is absolutely the plan here.. .Boyd is an absolute wealth of knowledge.
When I built the refit, I remember dry fitting all of the parts and having most of the model all assembled. I then got too excited and I wanted to show my Dad so I picked up the model as I passed through my door it all came crashing down to the floor. It looks as though with the original kit here they made it a lot stronger then it's predecessor. I just keep forgetting how big this kit is until you pick up some of the parts.
Oh NOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!! What a horrible thing to happen! I hope you were able to fix it ?
