- Lots of fun glitches to be had in Donkey Kong Country. The best part is most of them can be done in the first world of the game, so if you want to try them out you won't need to play through a whole bunch to do so!

Some I find online, some I find myself, some I find by asking around the speed running community because they tend to know a lot of gltiches for games. Usually I figure out a glitch, then I break it down step by step so I can explain how to perform it, and finally I try and push the glitch to its limits and fully explore what's possible with it to make an interesting video.
On that infinite lives glitch, Diddy was giving that other guy a MASSIVE headache.

Man, I wish you could do commentary on every video game related video. 9 out of every 10 UA-cam commentators are loud, obnoxious, corny, and overall off putting. You on the other hand are always pleasant and mange to be funny numerous times.

TheHylianLuigi Eh, Pewds has his funny moments. There are even times when he is actually rather enjoyable. Namely his The Walking Dead Season 1 and 2 and The Wolf Among Us playthroughs. Though other times, he's fucking grating. I don't watch him as much as I used to because he has been really grating lately.

A lot of the glitches are found either online or by asking people I know in the speed running community because they tend to know a lot of glitches. After I know about the glitch, I figure out exactly how to perform it so that I can explain it in the video, and I also try to explore the glitch and find any interesting things that can happen with it. If I find glitches on my own those are included as well, of course, as in my Nuts & Bolts episode.

Some glitchfests show glitches that are actually helpful, others just crazy. I just pick a game and go where it takes me. :) There are definitely other games that are just bonkers, but I'm just getting started on YT, there's lots of glitchfest episodes to be released in the coming months or even years!

I prefer a quality over quantity approach, and there's just no way a stream done live could be as high quality as a video I spent 50+ hours making. :( I will upload specific highlights like I've done in the past though if I think they're funny/awesome enough!
This game is a masterpiece. I played it for hours and hours back in the day, trying to find the secrets etc. Loved it so much and surprisingly the graphics are still very nice to this day! Again, a masterpiece!

It's not just retro games, the first episode was an Xbox 360 game. I do games that I think have interesting glitches, which just happens to be older games usually, but it can be new games too. I don't plan to do Minecraft though, just because that game is constantly being patched so any glitches I do would be invalid soon after.

No kidding? DKC was my first as well. I remember mom taking me to the old walmart, letting me point out what I had wanted, and the lady behind the counter grabbing the wrong one (I had wanted DKC2 because I felt it was more fun), but I was still like two or three, so they couldn't understand me too well. Definitely had its fair share of use from me.

This isn't the first game that I've ever owned (that goes to Super Mario World) but it is the first game that I felt immersed in. The music, the detailed environments, it was just great.
Dude, I found another glitch at Millstone Mayhem, be Diddy again and lure the Blue Krusha to the left, have Diddy bounce on the tire repeatedly, but make sure the Krusha is all the way to the left and facing him. Make sure you are holding left and X at the same time. You can get extra lives this way too. You do have to keep doing it though to start gaining extra lives, sucky, but hey, it is convenient and awesome, and get if you are planning to play the entire game with just a little lives.
Yes yes, I briefly mentioned that "and 1 on the other screen," which meant the other half of the world. It also brings you to the same stage in world 3. :)

I should mention this, the mine cart air roll glitch will not work on version 1.2
4:33 i tested this out with expresso in ice age alley and it works, expresso will be in the levels that have animals friends in, even water levels
Yup, first game I owned. Mom got it for me along with a SNES for I believe my 5th birthday. Not the first I played though, played NES games for probably 2-3 years before that, been gaming as long as I can remember.

While corrupting this game, I found some similar things. Like the rhino appearing in levels he shouldn't, walking on the ocean floor, riding different animals in water and having them turn blue. It was weird

Yeah, definitely planning. :) There's just been a lot of setbacks with technical problems and real life hitting hard, but there will absolutely be more at some point.
You don't have to hold down too for the lives trick in world 2. You just hold left. And also, the game doesn't stop you when you do it for too long. Once, I actually held it for so long that the counter had disappeared. When I died, I got a game over.
2:00 That warp glitch! Playing the game as a kid back in the day, I once accidentally came across the warp. I had NO idea what I had done to trigger it and never managed to do it again.
I remember when I first got this when I was like 4 or 5 years old, I got so excited when I finally beat the 2nd level.

I did Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts which is a more recent game. :) It's hard to do a Glitchfest of a game that just comes out, because most glitches aren't found right after a game is released.
Idk about Donkey Kong Country 1, but I'm pretty sure that in 2, the life counter stops at 99 but you can still get more lifes, they just don't show.

It's mostly just coincidental that my swear vocabulary happens to be a little different. My entire family swears, and personally I think the entire concept of a 'bad' word is silly, it shouldn't be the words that are bad but the context and meaning behind them. With that said, I do find a small bit of humor in a deep voiced man saying "crud" and "butt." It's not meant to pander to an audience though, I use the same words on my live stream even though there are some very adult conversations there
I see them or ask around with a ton of people I know for leads, then I do a lot of practice and experimentation to figure 'em out after that.

Donkey Kong Country was my first SNES game. I still love it!
I knew I wasn't just imagining! When I was younger I somehow managed to use the same glitch as in 2:00 and got to world 3, but after that when I was a little bit older, I tried to use the glitch one more time but it didn't work. I could remember at least the spot where I triggered it and that I had to press the color buttons multiple times, but I couldn't do it again. Now seeing this video shows me, I was correct, that this glitch really happened.
I'm not that sure about it, but with the same glitch I can remember entering some kind of factory level nearly at the exit of the level (I'm not certain, which level exactly it was, but it must be the world with the factory in the world map). It might not be world 1 where I triggered it (if possible), but I think I used the same glitch for it.
As a DK fan, I can say this is DK approved.
There are some Donkey Kong Country glitches (and I think one of these might be the one I'm thinking of) that can permanently damage your cart and render it unplayable.
I just thought there should be fair warning to those who want to try this on a real cartridge, don't get too experimental with it unless you want a DK-themed brick at the end of it.

Yeah, I noticed that if you walk along to the first level and mash the button on a specific place, you teleport to the Orang-Utang Gang level. I thought that it was a secret, though.

Also, my first game was ALSO this game WOOOOO!! (I was really scared of the zinger boss when I was young, probably because GIANT BEE!!)
I know this video is old, but, I found a glitch once in Donkey Kong Country that I've never seen ANYONE mention before. It requires frame-perfect timing. On a level with an enemy right at the end (Ropey Rampage I think has an armadillo enemy right at the exit) have Diddy, by himself, get hit on the exact frame where he's exiting the stage. Crazy shenanigans happen involving the world map and being able to skip levels all over the place. Maybe take a look at it? =)
