DISCLAIMER: Metallica’s label BLOCKED our initial upload! This is the HEAVILY EDITED second version! FYI
Fucking Awsome
Lost In Vegas unbelievably great choice cannot wait to watch!!!!
Love seein black folk talkin about my love... heavy metal..... that bein said can you all react to 2pac.... ambitions of a ridah? Love your channel
Aw, man. It's so annoying when labels block videos! I know they gotta do what they gotta do, but still. Thanks for editing it more and still uploading it! 👍
Can we watch the not edited version
Spit Out the Bone is peak post modern Metallica. This is as good as it gets in this era of Metallica.
Moth Into Flame in the same category
This is as good as Metallica gets period. This is up there right next to anything they ever have done.
If this song would have been in a record like Master Of Puppets, people would say is a masterpiece... That's how it works.
production is very important
Nah it's a great song but James voice has clearly declined since MOP
not how it works man, they were great in the 80-'s early 90's, lost it on st. anger, tried to recorrect with magnetic and now this, it just sounds like metallica trying to be metallica, but not something their actually making as metallica……. a metallica cover band would probably make a better album, this one just fell flat overall for me, I liked about 3 songs this being one of them and even then its not up to par with what id like them being. idk the 80's were a fluke, I think cliff burton was the secret song writing mojo they've been missing since then
@nesneros people all have different opinions and reasons for liking or disliking stuff. nothing wrong with that imo. the "rawness" of the early albums was great, they had a good sound for each album. I just didn't like how st.anger sounded at all.
@@JB-ju4ev WTF❓.... Did this #fuktard literally just say that a Metallica cover band would make a better album than Metallica themselves❓ 😒..... FOH❗❕SMH
Yes Metallica still plays like this and they are 50 yrs old. Gods of Metal for sure.
55yrs old* It's an important distinction because when you get to that age, every year feels like 10 lol.
They really are
*57 years old currently
@@djjazzyjeff1232 As somone who just turned 56, I agree.
James is 59...
... and still brings the riffery.
James Hetfield is one of the greatest rock/metal frontmen of all time, my opinion. His playing is always consistent, he writes many of the songs. Oh yup you just said it, haha yes since he's found healing and gone through rehab, he's found a new stride of energy and passion for life, & it shows in his playing and songwriting
Why does he sound so different now? He lost the growl in his voice.
fred fredburger listen to their new live performances!! Sad but true, PHENOMENAL!!!
fred fredburger He’s gotten older - you simply can’t sing with that much compression for that many decades
@@kylestyyle987 Understandable. It sad that age destroys what people are capable of. It's like when I watch recent Van Halen performances. EVH is still an incredible guitar player but he's not 20 year old EVH. I guess I have to put James Hetfield in that category.
@@fredfredburger5150 blew the crap out of his vocal chords on the black album 😁 Had to adjust.
METALLICA BLACKENED!!! I NEED IT!!!!
Blackened/Creeping Death/Four horsemen.
"I'm waiting to not like a metallica song!"
*checks channel today*
"Oh, I see you've found St. Anger..."
Yes:)
HAHA bro true
I don't get why people don't like that song. It's thrash metal.
John Doe honestly, I don’t mind it! I could rock out to St. Anger but it’s just the drums...It gets annoying really fast😂
@@soloangel7773 I personally love the drums. They're unique, almost industrial sounding.
This is easily one of their best songs of all time. Coming from a Metallica expert.
What makes you an expert...just curious
I think it is time for these Metallica fanboys to see them live. Las Vegas T-Mobile Arena, Monday 26th November. It would be awsome to here a reaction of concert. Like comment if you to would love that.
Will Gassett ive already got my tickets to that concert. Im sooooo excited to see them for the first time.
Definitely would have to start a go fund me... of course it also depends on if there are any tickets left. With all the tickets set aside for radio stations and promotions, there are very few tickets left open to for the general public to purchase. This will be the first time in over 2 decades I won't be able to see them due to the cost of their tickets and the fact the concert was almost sold out BEFORE tickets went on sale. It's unreal.
I would support a Go Fund Me for these guys.
This series of metal reactions is the best thing that has happened to me this year.
💯
The greatest band ever.
No...
@@killerseddie8295 Denied
God Diglet nope... Hanson is the goat
No doubt. Metallica always has been and always will be the greatest of all time. And personally they’re not even my top 2 😭😭😭😭 I have 2 other bands I like more but I will always respect Metallica as the greatest artists to ever walk the earth!
Agreed.
Disposable Heroes Reaction needs to happen!!!!
EET FUK Great song. Epic.
One of favorites!!!
Yes yes yes
yes!!!
My favorite Metallica song
Metallica needs to do a reaction to your reaction. This has to happen!
live in 89 is the beat
That would be awesome to say
Haunting History ......never know, they might.
All the love and money my generation has committed to Metallica they really should do a reaction to your reaction. Would be awesome.
They already reacted. They blocked their first upload. Typical.
That master of puppets poster is rad, you guys deserve the success - never enjoyed a reaction channel as much as yours, keep on free thinking boys
Indeimaus!! wtf are you doing here?
i think, watching a video. not sure though.
Briar Foley oh yeaaaaah... makes sense.
Make another top ten Dark Souls stones video

George throwing the paper up in the air in defeat at 13:10 needs to become a reaction gif.
Its crazy to say how crisp and tight and with the ability to still play fast thrash metal. James was 53 years old when he and Lars wrote the hardwired album. Metal legends.
First. I can't wait to watch this. Spit Out The Bone was a return to 80's Metallica and has been apluaded by almost everyone. Much love from Australia. Also...Down in a Hole by Alice in Chains :P
Sullo13 down in a hole is amazing. Great recommendation
Sullo13 Yes! I hope they do more AiC!
Sullo13 If the album was shorter and all of it sounded more like SOTB than it would be a top 10 album.
AiC down in a hole is great but... what about the unplugged version?
They are absolutely right: this song is as good as anything Metallica has written.
I like it a lot and they out did there selves but master of puppets i still listen to. I dont know if ill listen to this in 15 years. Is the song timeless because to me thats what makes it great.
Moth Into Flame is another amazing modern Metallica song from that same album
shithawk89 love that song 👌🏾
Moth into flame is easily the best song on the album. That thing just begs to be turned up to 11.
Atlas rise! too
@@lucatoledo3727 atlas rise is awesome!
nah, that song is garbadge!
Please do Metallica - ALL NIGHTMARE LONG, you'll lose your damn minds!
Yea man. It's a heavy brutal thrash piece.
This is the song which was based on Rob Trujillo's Flamenco riff thingy.. yup.. I love it..
Agreed
Rammstein or Faith no More , I’m still waiting for those 2 bands
Im seeing a lot of rammstein. I hope they do Sonne. Not scared of the german hah.
They would love Faith No More and for sure do a deep dive. Fnm is the definition if free thinking
PANTERA - CEMETERY GATES! METALLICA - SANITARIUM!
I think I understand something now about Lars, and it may explain why George likes him so much. Frankly I'm in George's camp; I love Lars, always have. I've been listening to Metallica since 1984, 5 years old, my older brother was blasting their first 3 albums on repeat in his bedroom and I fell in love.
There are better drummers than Lars, technically speaking. There are certainly faster drummers than Lars too. But few drummers play as HARD as Lars. There's an emotion and an aggression behind every drumbeat, and even though he's drumming at half the speed of some other metal drummers, he's putting just as much of himself... maybe more... behind each swing of the drumstick.
People hate Lars because of the way he plays live, he skips entire parts of songs, has very inconsistent fills and double bass and he always fucks up the tempo, even when it starts well it degrades so hard over time that on all songs past the 70% mark he's Always massively off and he also comes off as a massive douchebag. I Don't remember who said it but in Metallica James assumes the duty of keeping the band in tempo through his rhythm playing because of how bad Lars is.
I can agree with that. Although Lars isn't my favorite drummer or technically up with the drumming greats, he's effective. He gets it done. You can't fake the emotion you felt when you heard master of puppets for the first time. Lars has been there for all of it. He may not be the greatest drummer of all time but certainly one of the great musicians. I have nothing but respect for him.
Lars is a good drummer and a great Metallica drummer.
People criticize Lars' drumming for being "simple". And I can see their point. It kinda is. I just don't think that makes him a bad drummer in any way. You know what else is "simple" compared to it's competitors? The AK-47. Compared to many more sophisticated rifles, it's a dinosaur. It's also super-reliable and extremely effective, nonetheless. Lars is the AK-47 of metal drummers.
@@DavidDavidsonful "Comes off as a massive douche?" Have you EVER talked with him?! I think you're mistaking his confidence as arrogance. He's literally one of the coolest nicest dudes you'd ever want to meet. And there aren't a whole hell of a lot those types in the rock star business.
And btw. I speak for everyone who watches. You inspire all of us to be free thinkers. I work at a school for behavioral kids and i have really brought that into my work and its really helped and its a great moral to instill on people.
Wow you guys actually read this shit. Shout out!!! Thanks guys im honored
My school is the lied center in waverly, iowa just so you onow im not bullshitting you
I think it's time. Time for maybe the #1 progressive rock song. "Roundabout" by Yes. Amazing bass-line and songwriting. Technical, melodic, emotional, and commercial all in one. Great starting point to get into Prog rock. Free-thinkers!
HELL YES!!!
Metallica - Orion
Jimmy Coonan While I truly like METALLICA, I am not their biggest fan. However, I cannot imagine a world without the instrumental Orion in it...
Absolutely Aaron!!! Even if a lot of people do not get into Metallica, there are some iconic songs, like Orion, Fade to Black, Four Horsemen etc... that you can NOT dispute are all time classics and deserve props for the extreme talent on them truly iconic songs. Free thinking my man!
Totally agree Jimmy
(To Lost In Vegas) As someone who recommended this song i'm happy you guys liked it as much as I do! This is a favorite for most fans regardless of what some of the more stubborn fans may say. James (of Metallica) notes that Lars intended this song to be somewhat of a journey with many twists and turns along the way, so seeing you react to that was pretty cool. It's clear that Metallica knows how to write great songs and hearing it from a couple of guys who aren't metal heads does the community a great deal of good, so thanks mayn!
FYI - If you want intense, check out BATTERY. Peace!
Dave Maloney Orion is pretty cool, but the lack of lyrics will reduce the amount of possible commentary they have
True metalhead here. This is the greatest Metallica song since 1988.
I couldn’t agree more with what Garth said in his letter. The posts that say they hate Enter Sandman are not free thinkers. When a band is around as long as Metallica, they need to experiment.
This is easily the best Metallica song since 1988's And Justice For All. I get goosebumps during the "stop breathing" section every time
You forgot All Nightmare Long from Death Magnetic :-)

Bill Shakespeare - yep agreed, wondered why it wasn't their first Tool, port of call.
3 years later and I’m commenting. Honest to God, this song is AMAZING and is still one of my all time favorite Metallica songs. People need to realize they’re never going to sound like Master of Puppets again, why would they? Humans evolve and with that, so does music. This song, and most of this album, is a masterpiece of Metallica evolution. They’ll forever be my favorite band.
Do Dyers Eve off of Justice album, there you have one for the books. That tight transition from the solo and into one of the heaviest and best riffs they've ever done

I think you guys would really like "Atlas Rise" from the same album.
If Atlas Rise had been faster, it would have been a great epic song. Play it at 1.25 speed and it is perfect! Moth Into the Flame, Hardwired to Self Destruct, Atlas Rise and 'Spit Out the Bone' are some of the best Metallica songs since 'And Justice for All'
That's my favorite from the album, so good
@@guibox3 atlas rise is literally the fastest song on the record
Samford Um....no that would be “Spit Out the Bone”! And “Hardwired to Self destruct” is faster than Atlas Rise”
@@guibox3 nope, check the bpm. Just because it has tremolo picking doesn't means its faster

I love how you guys don't judge by comparing everything to the "old Metallica." Metal fans who can't get behind their post-Justice work are usually stuck in the late '80s trying to hold onto a life they don't belong to, afraid that their favorite band has outgrown them.

people love to hate metallica, its a trend. people who say metallica sucks really just want you to ask them what their favorite band is, they will have an answer for that. listening to metallica got me into playing guitar when i was a teenager and ill always remember that.

same here brother still playing guitar 12 years on fucking love metallica
2015 was megadeths year, a fantastic return to form for them...but 2016 was the year when metallica proved that they are STILL the GODS of metal. As Lost in vegas has put it, after almost 40 years of music, metallica can still have people talking about their new music and say it sounds like they went back to their roots yet still has that modern feel to it. As these gentlemen have said, you cannot help but to salute that!
I cannot tell you guys how much we love seeing these videos, it's like being able to hear these songs for the first time again. Amazing open mindedness, you guys are great. Awesome channel
P.S. "The Thing That Should Not Be" ( Live Shit, Binge and Purge, Seattle '89) soooooo heavy. Would love to see reaction vids of live performances.
Lars is definitely the maestro in Metallica and Hetfield is the lyrics- and riffgod! This is what many of the Lars haters don't know. Yes, Lars isn't the greatest drummer in the world(I personally love his drumming) but he is a genious when it comes to putting together a song. Metallica would not be as big as they are without Lars.
I agree 10000% with everything you said.
Any drummer could replace Lars. I understand how important he is I think he is in such high regard only because he's in a legendary band
Most people blasting Lars' drumming couldn't keep a beat with a metronome doing it for them.
Faith No More- The Real Thing!
You guys were positively hilarious :D I love your enthusiasm. And no matter if some hardcore fans don't angry with you, what matters is : enjoy what you do. Cheerz from France!

Love you guys' channel, and I just discovered it. Y'alls reaction to master of puppets really took me back, to the first time I heard Metallica, and was completely blown away. My best friend and best man at my wedding, who I met during my deployment to Afghanistan is black, and came up from a very young age listening to hip hop, like yall did. He got me into some older rap, some of Tupac, like "keep your head up" and "Dear mama", some wu tang clan like "CREAM", nasty, notorious big, and alot more. I totally agree with yall on the open mind, free thinking philosophy. Ever since I stepped out of my comfort zone, I feel so much more connected to people, I can relate to the passions of others, and share my passions too. And that's just what I did, I shared Metallica with my friend Les, and I could feel the genuine appreciation for the music, and see the parts that hit him. Watching yall was like that experience all over again. I had a huge grin on my face the whole video, and I knew exactly the places that would blow yall away, it was awesome. Anyway, I have another suggestion for yall from Metallica by the way, actually two songs, yall can pick, the first is "sanitarium (welcome home)" and the other is "wherever I may roam". Yall keep it up, it's great to watch. We all gotta be more open minded to things, I never knew rap could be so meaningful and deep, mainly because lots of rap you hear now, (like country too now ironically), is only about partying, not much meaning or depth. I had no idea there were such deep songs, with complex music, like I see in the older stuff, and actually in alot of newer stuff too, i guess it's just the culture today is all about partying, so that's what you hear the most, but there is still good music being made every day. I never would've known that, if it wasn't for being open minded to someone else's passion.
I love your love for Metallica. Makes me feel like I'm 10 years old again hearing Metallica for the first time. You guys rock!
I agree! Watching this, I kept wishing that I was only just discovering Metallica for the first time. But, it also makes me wonder...what have I been missing out on?
You guys really need to listen to some Faith No More. These guys were huge influences to so many of the bands that spawned at the end of the 90's and early 2000's. Epic is probably their most well known song but to me, The Real Thing is one of their best songs. It's a deep album cut that highlights their musicianship, vocals and some deep lyrics that I've been trying to decipher since the 1989.
philiposm i would like for them to just do some songs from Angel Dust, like everythings ruined or even a song like A small victory or midlife crisis
Songs they would love are Ashes to Ashes, Ricochet, Stripsearch, Evidence, or Midlife Crisis. Others too I'm sure, but definitely those
Yeah, those would be the more accessible songs from that album. I think we should ease them in slowly. Listening to Angel Dust first could be considered like a person who has never done drugs doing Acid, Coke, Heroin and Meth all at the same time. lol
Subbed. Your commentary is great. Keep it real!
Your reactions are awesome!
Oh boy this gon be good!! Metallica is just one of those bands you have to appreciate regardless of what music you’re into. Saw them live twice already, most recently in London in October, which was btw the live premiere of Spit out the Bone. Incredible band.

May I remind you that all of them are in their late 50s almost 60s and still going hard like this song, you gotta give Metallica props for that, its incredible!
I've watched many of your guys' vids multiple times and this is in the top tier of your vids. Still have a lot of Metallica discography to go through so here's some suggestions for future reference.

Creeping Death
The Call of Ktulu
Disposable Heroes
Orion

Dyers Eve
All Nightmare Long
I would get to these first in no particular order and then go from there. People will put up a thousand different suggestions including stuff from the first album but this is the meat and potatoes of their work that you haven't gotten to yet. There are many other great songs from them, this is just one man's opinion. Keep doing what you do! Best channel on here!
React to Dyers Eve by Metallica!!
Garth did a damn amazing job on that poster tho thats really top quality. The song was so metal and raw and I enjoyed every second of it everyone brought their A-game and continued to astound your expectation as the song went on. The switch-ups, the riffs, the vocals and even the video was on point in creating a work of art. S shoutout to Metallica and Amazing reaction Lost In Vegas.
I've come to appreciate this song more the more I've listened to it. I totally get why a lot of folks consider it the best song on the album, and I do think in many ways it represents the perfect combination of their classic thrash with their more modern stylings, as George comments in this video. Halo On Fire is still my personal favorite from the album, though. Keep up the good work guys, I love hearing your perspective on metal music, and I love how *much* you comment on the songs. A lot of reaction channels are just the person sitting there watching/listening to something looking stonefaced, and then making a few brief comments after. But you guys are great about discussing specific elements of the music, the lyrics etc. Can't wait to see what other songs you do videos for in the future :)
Love your vids. You nailed it.

I am just now finding this channel, and I have jumped all over the place with your reactions to Metallica songs. I started with y'all doing Megadeth Holy Wars, then went to straight Metallica reactions. Metallica and Megadeth both are in my top 5 band of all time. I have been listening and enjoy them both for decades. Y'all's reactions to them.....has refreshed my love for them. Not that it ever went away, but you know, when you listen to something for decades you forget how much you enjoyed it when you first heard of these songs....these bands. And man....the way y'all lay it out and react. I love it! ABSOLUTELY has sparked a flame in how much I love these bands. This is my favorite reaction so far. Because Goerge just gives up. I love it! Speechless. Nothing more to say. The Metallica songs I have heard y'all review so far are Master of Puppets, One, Orion, Blackened, Fade To Black, and the one I watched before this was St. Anger. So needless to say this was hilarious when y'all said Metallica can do no wrong and that you wanted to find a Metallica song y'all didn't like. Lol. Spit out the Bone even come out AFTER the St. Anger Album lol. But I still can appreciate St. Anger, but I will say it wasn't their best work though. But I will forever be a hardcore Metallica fan. So THANK YOU! Thank you both! For allowing me to see it through fresh eyes/ears again! I love your channel. I can't wait to listen to more in the coming future!
Love, love, love this reaction! I agree it's up there with Master of Puppets. Its phenomenal. Just love your videos! Can't believe I only discovered you like yesterday! Can't wait to check out more. Love you guys, you're awesome!
