    Use disc brake on the front. just weld a bracket inline with dropout angle, right on bottom of the left fork leg.
    I did an electric OCC. Next is choppers that are powered similar to Sur Ron's.

    Cool builds, What kind if prices are you getting your suspension sissy bar for? I can't believe how expensive they are. Also trying to find double springer forks fir less than 200$

    I too have a custom schwinn occ chopper and I would like to know exactly what hardware you used to mount the rear sprocket to the rear axle. Looking for a better solution to my build to replace the rag joint setup. Also is this a reliable and fairly inexpensive thing to do?

      I purchased 9 #8 machine screws with 9 nuts, washers and lock washers. The standard engine kit sprocket is a little bit larger than the rear hub on your OCC Schwinn. Take some electrical tape and carefully wrap the hub two/three times. That should center the sprocket for you. Once you have it in place use a punch to mark your first hole. Use a metal drill bit one size larger than your screw and drill a hole far enough away from the hub so that you won't have trouble getting a socket on your screw nut for tightening, and not so far out that you're too close to the spoke holes. Drill your first hole and put a screw through so the sprocket doesn't move. Notice from the image of the sprocket at 4:10 in the video that my drill holes follow the pattern of the pre-drilled holes on the sprocket. Pick another spot on the opposite side of your first hole and drill that one putting a screw through the hole. Even with a screw thru the drilled hole your sprocket can still move so you have to be kind of focused so that when all 9 are drilled they will line up. When you are tightening them down put your wheel with the axle and small sprocket facing down towards your work table and I used a three inch wide roll of tape underneath the sprocket. Your wheel will spin freely just as it does when you stop pedaling, but only one direction. The small sprocket will sit on top of the hole through the center of your roll of tape but keep the axle off the table.Then I looked directly across the top of the sprocket to the wall behind my work bench and put a dark line on the wall that lined up with that level. I would tighten the sprocket down close to where they needed to be and then spin the wheel looking at the sprocket rising and falling by the line on the wall. When I could see the sprocket dip I would stop it from spinning and tighten the screw on the opposite side of the dip. I would just keep spinning the wheel and looking across the sprocket at the line on the wall and use this method until I had gotten rid of 90% of the wobble. Of course you put your nuts on with blue thread lock and get right on it so it doesn't dry up on you. When you are done your sprocket will line up within the tolerances of your adjustable motor mount and I just eyeball it. Hope that this helps.

      Go on Ebay and do a search for OCC Schwinn stingray motor mounts. There are several sellers who make them.

    Why the yd100?It’s so slow,should’ve just got a ported and balanced 80 cc motor,plus that sprocket is way too big for the wheel,should be a 36.But everything else looks good

      @@garysusdorf6624 Gary, to some extent that price depends on your choice of accessories. I listed my phone number above but you're looking in the neighborhood of 2k. Just the bike and accessories will run you around $1,500.00, before building it.

    Sorry; I don't agree with you. That's not the best chain tension area. Because I don't like drilling holes in the frame. HAGO🖖

    • @bradjohnson8100
      @bradjohnson8100  Рік тому

      What you are failing to consider is that if the frame is inclined to bend, because those 1/4" holes have weakened it, it would flatten out the tube of the frame where it bends. That will not happen with those two bolts going through the frame. The frame is actually stronger because of those bolts.

    The bikes look nice but the engines are too far ahead so that there is some really nasty catch points for clothing.

    • @bradjohnson8100
      @bradjohnson8100  Рік тому

      The mounting of the engine is controlled by the the frame component wherein the seat post resides. Contrary to your assertion, I have personally driven a bike set up in the same manner over two thousand miles and never once got clothing caught in the chain and sprocket.
