How do you take auto mode off and use it manually for temp selection. I care nothing about the different temps for different times of day etc.....I want a non programmable thermostat operation
@@rabie4x4 no success. I took it off the wall and put a manual switch mode and temp selection Honeywell thermostat up for heat and cooling. Been happy ever since.
Does this mean that if it gets below or above a certain temperature it would ether kick the heat or the air on or vice versa? Besides what does emergency heat mean also????
Why this isn't on by default is beyond me. All thermostats should default to switching between heating and cooling automatically. And, no, this does not appear in the instruction manual. For others who have read this - you need to go into each mode (430/431), heating and cooling, and set the desired temperature. But such that each is not overlapping each other. That is, say you want 75. You want it to heat to 74 and cool to 76. This way it's not bouncing back and forth every 5 minutes and causing the compressor problems. Or select auto 75 and you're done because IIRC the mode has a 1-2 degree set point spread so it won't fight itself endlessly. Again, this is super convoluted and not explained anywhere. Note that the place will fluctuate a couple of degrees in auto mode and this is normal. The problem is when you set the points past each other - like cool 74 and heat 76 at the same time - then it constantly runs and fights itself back and forth.
I used your settings to guide me back to my screw up. You rock man.

Why don’t you just change to heat or cool mode?
to use it manually you just put it on Cool or Heat and it keeps running till you turn it off
This was good information. But I still need to adjust my thermostat to 65 degrees and it won't go past 37 degrees
Thank you!
How do you do this if you don’t have buttons. They’re just on the screen
How do you get the permanent cool setting on?
Thank you
Does this thermostat do auto switch for auxiliary heat when your heat pump can’t keep up during cold conditions?

What if It doesn't only say "auto" and it says "Permanent Hold" right above where it says "auto" at the SAME TIME?

How do I turn on emergency heat?
Whats the Auto for?
It turns the heat when the temperature reaches a certain point and turns the AC when the temperature reaches a certain point.
How can you turn it off?

My thermostat is locked and I can't unlock it. Could you please help
You need to use the PIN number which is 1234 and that’s not joke and it will unlock
