To see a video that I haven't seen since it was on MTV is incredible. I heard this song somewhere recently and had memories flood back. I had to come see the video and wow. I was a teenager in front of my TV again. I really had a great childhood. So many forgotten songs that are a soundtrack to my life when I listen to them again.
One thing about the 80's is that you will always recognize them in terms of fashion, you'll never be left off wondering if the video is from the 70's, the 90's, the 00's or the 10's
Loved this song. The 80's. Everyone carried a homemade cassette tape of their favorite songs they either taped off the radio or taped off another cassette in a dual cassette player in their jean jacket. Someone would inevitably ask if someone had a tape on them and you'd pull yours out. lol. Times were good my friends, times were good.
This song takes me right back to the dance party days when you had to build up the courage to ask a girl to dance with you. The rejections, the wins, awesome times. Thanks for the memories!!!

I was born in 1987 and in the last 4 years I've been discovering these amazing bands that released their albums in '87 and I'm always mesmerized at how good the 80s were to music. I feel so nostalgic because I get the music, I understand that era was all about emotions.
In '86 I was still fresh out of NYU and started my life as a working adult. Now, I'm a 61 year old retiree dredging up happy memories by watching 80's videos haha.
The best decade of my life! Even with all the necessities l had back then l was so happy! My friends, school oh yeah, that girl! So beautiful to be young...
My two sons grew up listening to this song and many more like it as I played them loudly working out in our basement. They would come down and want to sit on my back as I did push ups, or I would lay on the floor and bench press them lol. And here we are all these years later in the same house and I am still working out to the same music but so are they! And they often tell me any time a song comes on the radio that was on my playlist, they instantly think of those times. Means a lot to me that something that we 'just did' ended up having such a special meaning. :)
My favorite band of all time is Fleetwood Mac. My daughter is 15. The other day, she and I were riding in the car together when the song “Landslide” came on. My daughter smiled, looked me in the eyes and said, “This one’s for you daddy” at exact moment Stevie Nicks says it at the beginning of the song. I literally got a tear in my eye. When the song was over, she asked me if “Landslide” was on the album “Rumors.” Although it’s not on that album, I was impressed my daughter knew the name of, in my opinion, the most successful album ever written. So, I can relate easily to what you commented on.
Glass Tiger, a rock band from Toronto Ontario, Canada is a 2 hit wonder, with only 2 of Top 5 songs, and they are: Don’t Forget Me When I Gone in fall 1986, and this one, Someday in spring 1987.

My grad night was also in 87. We may have went the same night. Glass Tiger and Ready for the World and I think Bobby Brown. This was a year before he came out with "Don't Be Cruel." My friend was a huge New Edition fan, so he was disappointed when it was only him.
@@roypartible9759 It would have been the same night. I think they only did Grad Night one night a year. I didn't even realize Bobby Brown was there. Wang Chung in front of Cinderella's Castle was pretty amazing.
I saw Animotion in 85 for my senior grad trip.
I also went to Grad Night in ‘87 and enjoyed the music of Glass Tiger and Wang Chung
Awesome night!!!
1986 Glass Tiger nostalgia big 80 MTV
Did any of you read that the lead singer had a stroke a couple years ago, I read it this morning, I cried so hard, because I had a stroke when I was 26. I'm now 43, he had a worse stroke then me, OMG if he see's this please know I love & am praying for you so much. Please continue to stay strong.
Graduated 1984 and I wouldn’t trade growing up in that era for anything. 40 year reunion coming up. We’ve lost some classmates along the way but it’s still going to be a blast to see everyone
Im 64 and I think the late 70s and 80s music was the best
something about the way those cymbals are setup on those drums that make me think the drummers arms can extend to the ceiling.
The 80's, best decade ever. 🎸🥁👍🏻
I was 25 when this song came out and it was one of my favorites that year. Damn, I need a time machine - the 80s were the best decade of my life.
Mine too...love the 80s.
Me too!
I was 27......
Same ....and I was 25 too.
Let building a time machine together and go back to 1980s best music.
I saw Glass Tiger at the Del Maar Fairgrounds in the late 80s, but I cant remember the year.... anyone remember?
One thing about the 80's is that you will always recognize them in terms of fashion, you'll never be left off wondering if the video is from the 70's, the 90's, the 00's or the 10's
Loved this song. The 80's. Everyone carried a homemade cassette tape of their favorite songs they either taped off the radio or taped off another cassette in a dual cassette player in their jean jacket. Someone would inevitably ask if someone had a tape on them and you'd pull yours out. lol. Times were good my friends, times were good.
Nothing really beats the music of 80's. Still my favorite to this day.
Definitely seems the most nostalgic but that's from my point of view? Is 90s music as nostalgic to people of a similar age?
I agree the 80's music was the best !!😊
The 80's were the best
I agree! 80's = The Best
Someone build a time machine & transport me back to the 80's please!
65 and still in.
One of my favorites from 1986 was this song, "Someday", by Glass Tiger!
mine as well John-so thankful I grew up then.
This song takes me right back to the dance party days when you had to build up the courage to ask a girl to dance with you. The rejections, the wins, awesome times. Thanks for the memories!!!
Una de mis musicas faborita.
What were the wins like? ....
@@variableknife4702 Pretty, pretty, pretty good 😂😂😂
For those of us living as kids in the 80’s, we lived through the best music era in our lifetimes and we didn’t even know it. We just enjoyed life as simple as it was, yet so complicated at the time it seemed. No social media. Listening to the radio. Getting together with friends in real life. Passing notes to each other in school. Talking for hours on the phone to friends, our boyfriends / girlfriends and ignoring call waiting. Life was so good! ❤️❤️❤️
@@variableknife4702 lmao
Gen X ! Great time to experience...stay strong y'all 😎👊

Saw Glass Tiger perform in Austin, Tx, in 1986. They opened for Journey, what a great show.
Great song, meaningful lyrics, 80's drenched sound, one of my all-time favorites. I wish life had a rewind button, I'd be right there.

The harmonica sound emitting from the DX7 is also very '80s!
I was born in 1987 and in the last 4 years I've been discovering these amazing bands that released their albums in '87 and I'm always mesmerized at how good the 80s were to music. I feel so nostalgic because I get the music, I understand that era was all about emotions.
The best music was the 80’s hands down 😊😊😊😊😊😊😊
Feeling depressed..need me some 80's.
Me too
In '86 I was still fresh out of NYU and started my life as a working adult. Now, I'm a 61 year old retiree dredging up happy memories by watching 80's videos haha.

Roberto Dallossi reminds me back in 1985! My first love I was 16 and he was 18! Cried over the thoughts of me leaving him!
It's here. At your fingertips.
Oh man those 80s styles were something else! The hair and the funky outfits were crazy

I love just how smooth this guy's voice sounds, every single note is just effortlessly superb. Now that requires mad talent and skills. Kudos!

Boy George has the same silky smooth effect.

I can't stand Boy George being so proud of his filthyfhahg ot sihn, but I agree that his voice is smooth.
The best decade of my life! Even with all the necessities l had back then l was so happy! My friends, school oh yeah, that girl! So beautiful to be young...

You nailed it!
80s are totally the best!
to be COMPLETELY honest i did do and/or probably will really LOVE glass tiger
I was 15years old, when this came out.I miss my friends, we all use to sing this song .
Wait, nobody's half naked?! Everyone looks happy? Good music? Lyrics that have meaning? Oh... that's why I'm still listening to this decades later.
Yes ... and that absolutely gorgeous synth at 1:50 ... Stevie Wonder would have been proud to hear that ..
Right?! Real voices, no auto tune. No tattoos covering their entire half naked bodies.
ABSOLUTELY!!
That's the way it should be 😊
Although if those backing singers were half naked, that would be ok too...
I Heard this Song At Space Camp in Florida in the 1986. Dam do i Miss my childhood😢.
Beautiful and nostalgic- one of my best songs of the late 80s.
The 80s music still the best to this day
2:58 love this part where he's dancing with the backup singers!
I say to my 14 yo boy. I so wish I could take you back to the 70/80s. He feels that so much.
Great song! One of the best hits of the 80's!
I graduated high school in 1982 and lived thru the 80s which was a the best.
I miss this kind of music today. 80s were my best time in my life!!
The 80's. Great music, simpler times. No money, but you were always happy. We were blessed to have experienced all we did in the 80's.

Haven't heard this song in a long, long time. Ah.....the 80's.
Miss the 80s going to the mall seeing friends, good times
Classic 80s magic. Sounds like the good life.
The 70s and the 80s the greatest music period.
@@cm1133 We live for those moments with our kids, don't we? My guess is you'll never forget that story :)
Old scholl magic! Blast from the past!
Glass Tiger, a rock band from Toronto Ontario, Canada is a 2 hit wonder, with only 2 of Top 5 songs, and they are: Don’t Forget Me When I Gone in fall 1986, and this one, Someday in spring 1987.
