Music from The British Invasion until the end of the 90's was a once in a generation experience. Lots of different genre's producing classic after classic. So fortunate to have lived it all and being able to go back in time and listen like it's 1964, 1974, 1984 or '94. Such a treat that unless you lived it isn't the same.

Guys!? People don't hate these songs they just don't know about them; wen I sing them the ladies love it and then ask me where I found wh0, where, and how did I find these 80's songs, like the band: 'Johnny hates Jazz'. Cuz all you have in music today is sex, it just goes past the meaning of a relationship...

It feels like such a privilege to have grown up in the 80s. We may not have had the technology then as we do today, but the music, fashion, and creativity were the best. 🥰

The best thing about being a kid in the 80's is that every awesome 80's song conjures up myriads of memories. Good times, sad times, tough times, fun times, times with family and friends, and times alone, whether I want to be or not. Such a rich memory of full life captured in so many fantastic songs. We eighties kids are so lucky. We had awesome music, the best TV shows and cartoons. We had bikes and real friends who we would spend our time with friends all day
The Cult movie Somewhere in Time sums up the 80's, we all want to wake up and find ourselves back in time, to be part of this wonderful musical era. If you know how, give it a try have a lovely time there!

The 80s had so many great songs, it's number 1 in book for music. Everyone was so creative, the standard was set so high, that musicians took that challenge to produce the best music they could. The competition was fierce. This song gives me chills when I hear it, I love the vocals, the arrangement and everything about it. So glad I am around to put it on loop and hear as much as I can. Thanks Mr. Mister🥰🔥🔥🔥
The 80's.......The power, passion and emotives from this decade are still the strongest and likely will always be. This is yet another timeless classic. Nothing out there now comes close
What a time it was for music in the 80s,we sadly dont have this kind of music any longer. If,you gre up in the 80s your were lucky enough to listen to this timeless and beautiful music..
Yes it’s really a good song and the music video is amazing. Very profound, it tells a story and it’s just good rugged American rock and roll at its best. Classic and rockin! Times have changed too much for masterpieces like this to be made again. Due to what passes for art and music these days I’m not surprised this is the case.
i am sure they could, i am bet there are absolute bangers out there, the problem is it is not part of the culture. It's something very few people enjoy INDIVIDUALLY. Music used to be a sign of the zeitgeist. Now whatever is played on the radio is 99% crap.
The melodies they came up with in the 80s seems to hit a human nerve ... it runs through so many songs in that period, it felt like a neverending magic show ...
No, we didn't, but I always felt like I was living in what was gonna be the last truly good decade. The early 90s weren't bad, but the 80s will never be topped.
@@Bubbylock Naja, i grew up in the 60's and 70's , and i feel the same, we had the last great life , it belongs to that we had no internet and smartphone or TV, we living outside with friends, hear music and enjoyed life, not had to fear to sleep somewhere outside in the green , ja, it was a wonderful youth, yesterday

This song reminds me of my wife. It was her favorite song before she lost her battle with cancer. I wish I could change the hands of time. She was always there for me and our lovely daughter. Life can be so unfair at times, sometimes I wonder why bad things always happen to good people. She will always be in our hearts.
First time I heard this song on the radio back in 1985 and I couldn't rest until I recorded it. Then listened to it, stopped the casette player line after line so I can put down the lyrics. (Well...it was the 80s... No internet where you can check the lyrics of songs, huh, imagine that.) And my inner voice still starts to sing it whenever it comes on. So glad I grew up in the 80s.
Yes todays techie changes everything. This was a special track at the time, and a few others, unfortunately we find out that many of these tracks were not recorded by these band but session musicians. Never mind we enjoyed them
Recording our favorite songs in a cassette, listening to them, stopping the cassette player to put down the lyrics... It was a troublesome but rewarding task. Those days are gone but they are memorable!!!
I think that I may have accidentally pressed the down button. But I love your reply. I lost my husband last year but there are times when I feel that he is near.@@pommiebears

The 80s were my entire preteen and teenaged years, being born in 1970. I got to experience the full decade. We knew it was special even back then, but you don’t realize how much you’ll miss something until it’s gone... On another note, the lead singer is quite handsome.
Some of these comments are spot on about the 80’s , I was heading into high school mid 80’s and had the best time in high school as I felt I had the world at my feet , the music and the feeling of that era was so upbeat and uplifting.Unfortunately from then on it’s been spiralling downwards in Britain, let’s hope the future generations can experience that self belief and happy times again.
A classic from the 80's, it gives me so many shivers... Just imagine yourself driving a car in a freeway at sunset remembering your childhood and good music...
I do that often, although not in a car, but walking along the beach, thinking of simpler freer, more exciting days that are sadly in the past. I'm still just 35, but feel about 75 at times.

It's a timeless classic
I am dude !

One of my FAVORITE songs of ALL TIME! 👍🏾
*I love the instrumental styles of 80's songs*
Specially the guitar sounds, its one of the best part of the 80s songs.
80 'songs seem to be arranged with so much taste

back when musicians could read sheet music. haha
Then awesome 80s when musicians were real, no auto tune needed.

Only because the future sucks
A classic from the 80's, it gives me so many shivers... Just imagine yourself driving a car in a freeway at sunset remembering your childhood and good music...
I do that often, although not in a car, but walking along the beach, thinking of simpler freer, more exciting days that are sadly in the past. I'm still just 35, but feel about 75 at times.
A beautiful mind frame , brother.
Nostalgia from Brazil
When life was so good!!
@@desertrose1226 wait until you get to 75, and realize how young 35 is.
This song and Carmina Burana, Fortuna, Orff do it everytime for me when I am down and out
