- Crews from the U.S. Air Force Reserve 53rd Weather Reconnaissance Squadron and #NOAA fly missions into #HurricaneLaura. The Hurricane Hunters flew their specially equipped WC-130J Super Hercules while NOAA used a WP-3D Orion NOAA42 named "Kermit.", both collecting data for the National Hurricane Center to use to create more accurate forecast models.

I love that you all let the sounds and imagery speak for themselves.
This needs way more views! Thanks for the vid
C-130's have been around since the 1950's...good to see them still flying with the help of awesome crew members and modern avionics!
I'm watching you go into my worst nightmare and I'm praying for you all the way. I know it takes great know how and a lot of knowledge and skill. God bless you our sons of America. ❤
Is it me or do hurricanes always make landfall at night? Anyone else notice this? Lol
Those people crazy, but makes fascinating watching😬😬
My uncle, Ambrose Byrd was a Navy Flier. Years later, I learned the reason he never flew on planes was he had to fly through hurricanes! I wish I had known that when younger. Thank You for a good video...PLEASE make more!
Great piece.
Wow! Thank you for the video. Those folks are brave, and so competent. I feel better. 🙏🏻🙏🏻💕🙂🌾
God bless these heros helping so much with necessary data.
Great video..! thanks for sharing..
It's been on my bucket list to fly in a hurricane hunters mission. This gives me a clue, a taste
I was waiting for this. This is like the hurricane Irma fly though.
Wow it's really amazing . how calm the storm looked but when it comes on land omg it's a havoc .
The rain is beautiful
Incredible. Stay safe.
Glad airforce is there for us to see what's going on
This monster scraped by and just missed my house. I won’t ever forget Laura or all of the other storms of 2020. ☹️
I showed up to Lake Charles a week or two after this hurricane hit. When I tell you it was a disaster..... It looked like an atomic bomb hit the place. Massive radio antennas had fallen onto buildings. Homes reduced to splinters, trees absolutely shredded at 20 miles outside of the city.
WOW!
