    A "like" because of the photography. How many news outlets are interested in presenting other things and yet here we are with such devastation from a hurricane barely being covered. Thanks Live Storms Now for the presentation.

      Many do know. It's just corporate infiltration into our front rooms every day via TV and media give people constant excuses not to be concerned. The campaign of disinformation has been so effective that even scientists(climatologists, oceanographers, glaciologists, etc etc) are being called leftist conspirators just for exposing the truth. Rise up and fight the instigators of this doom. Support your local environmental agencies and do what you can to mitigate the use of fossil fuels.

    if the land was above water before the storm, why is so much of it still underwater....did the land subside ? was there that much erosion as a result of the storm ? I see places where the water is trying to get back to the sea, but in other places, it appears the water wants to remain.

    • @notyou6950
      @notyou6950 4 роки тому +1

      No. Land is still where it was, but the rain fall will take time to drain out. The ground water is a few inches below the surface there. The ground acts literally like a sponge. I've got a tractor stuck on top of a rise on a dry day. It sunk with no warning.

    • @notyou6950
      @notyou6950 4 роки тому

      @Anifco67 the rain that fell north and west of it will take weeks to drain down. Most damage from hurricanes is latent flooding on top of wind damage. Hurricane Florence brought 36" of rain in 3 days all over North Carolina after the eye got on land and parked itself there. That was an extreme event. It rained so hard, the fish drowned.

    It looks like some of that flooding is water from inland making its way back down to the ocean. I could be wrong but wasn't it relatively dry immediately after the hurricane? Talking about that brown water flooding areas.

    • @dinkledankle
      @dinkledankle 4 роки тому

      The inland rain from when the hurricane made landfall and moved up north to El Dorado and Little Rock is/was flowing back out to the Gulf. It passed over the Alexandria River and all of the forest/rivers/swamps in most of the Kisatche N.F. directly to the north. There's also all of the rivers around Lake Charles(which was also completely devastated), and that area was hit head on. Flooding always accompanies a lot of rain, especially in inland rivers, and big hurricanes like Laura dump a lot of rain. I remember there was a hurricane recently in Texas where the flooding was receding a lot slower than expected, and it made it pretty bad for a lot of people. It took something like 11 days for the water to completely recede, and this was inland. I could be wrong on those details, but the culprit was the surrounding rivers. I can't remember the video specifically, sorry.

    the water level of the oceans rises, within 50 years all will be gone.

    • @pakde8002

      It could be in fifty years or five hundred but yeah eventually all that will be under water unless we have another ice age which is also a possibility. Still a lot we don't understand about big changes in Earth weather. Some say the younger dryas period happened within the lifetime of people living back then, meaning going from a very warm climate globally to frozen within 40 years. Scary stuff as we're obviously at some sort of tipping point and there's not much we can do about it despite all our technology and science.

      Greg p agree with ya. This is not the place to make jokes like that. And I’m not a SJW being triggered. This is someone who lives in LA and my hometown was hit when it was a category one being triggered. For it to travel the state and stay a hurricane, that shows how powerful it was. We were hit with the eye wall when it turned. We are all wore out

      Twernt nobody round' but a sky full of air, 50,000 chickens and me.
      Then one day I said hey, hey, hey, I think I will do some LSD,
      It blew my mind, I got real kind, and set those chickens free.
