Welcome to Day 16 of our morning yoga challenge! I'm going to take you through a stretchy yoga class for flexibility with our intention of the day being TRUST. This is suitable for all levels and no props are required. We will do poses like half saddle, gate pose, side low lunge and thread the needle.
The "Flexible Body, Flexible Mind" 30 day morning yoga challenge is designed to help you stretch on and off the mat. This is a free yoga challenge suitable for all levels with no props required. I did leg day yesterday and woke up with stiff and sore muscles. This is just what I needed!

Amazing sequence thanks Kassandra.... I especially loved this version of thread the needle. The space created by the gate leg is awesome! Loving the challenge , so inspiring and am already a fan of yoga nidra x
This flow might not be for everybody, but I really enjoyed it. I do feel that poses that are hard on the knees shouldn't be done consecutively without a break. I am a yoga teacher, and still found that my knees needed a break from the pressure. But I still love challenging flows and only wish it was structured a bit better to prevent injury. Thank you for your lovely classes as always. Namaste
This was a great practice, lots of stretching. I think i would have like a little more on the shoulder, neck space too. I use a mat because I don't want to get dust on my body but when we come off the mat when we are threading the needle I tend not to enjoy it. Just an honest review ❤

I loved this series of poses today as they were new & really stretched out my hamstrings & quads, especially after I went running for the first time in over a year yesterday!

The first pose was a bit tough on my thigh, but felt good. I like bending slightly forward at the end with the salutation, to say "thank you and have a good day" to Kassandra over the internet waves :)

I sort of lifted my hip on my non-folded leg so that i wasn’t sitting directly on it, only then i could feel the stretch in my quads
Maybe sit up on a block for the first pose until your able to come down on the floor and from there start leaning back takes time ❤

The first pose was kinda difficult first thing in the morning and first thing in the practice.
that first pose, wow, i am so tight in hips glutes and thighs it was hard to get in alignment , but the rest of the practice was really nice namaste 💜

Does anyone have tips for saddle pose? Putting the top of my foot flat on the floor is difficult, but having one ankle on the floor and the other facing up at the ceiling works. Is that bad? 😅
Edit: I decided to do it standing so I can get that quad stretch. (Knee bent, holding foot)

My knees said "heck no!" to the first pose, yelled during the 2nd one, but I made it through to the end.
Tuck a block under your butt. Helps a lot to lift yourself up. ❤
