Brings me back to 07 when I installed one of these on my Sentra, enhances the sound a lot. 13 years later I'm almost 30 and just bought an f32 N55 and I'm currently modding it as well
I put an intake on my Matrix and I left that plastic tube piece that you removed at the end because it was put there to channel air from the front of the car directly to the intake, which provides a steady stream of cool air. By removing it you have taken out the cold air stream so now you will be just sucking up the ambient temperature of the air under the hood which will be warmer and will reduce power. Probably not that noticeable but you might want to re-install it and see! Cheers!
Thanks for the comment! Honesty, I didn’t know what the purpose of that tube was when I installed this, and it’s been quite a while since this was filmed so I kind of forgot about it’s existence. I might try to find it again and reinstall it.
It does help but i had to modify my the air temps were getting to high almost 50c° in a 28c° to 30c° day so i had to cut mine and put it between the headlight and the horn i worked wonders the temps went from 48c° to 28c° to 32c° i really recommend doing if you have idling problems or you have a lean condition like mine had.
What do I do about that sensor? I've been told it can't be removed but you did that so how do I remove it and more importantly how do I reinstall it once the intake is on?? Help me please 🙏🙏🙏
You should have disconnected the battery before you did anything also you should of kept the fender intake tube and cut it back you would have a direct cold air through it directed right at the weapon r intake

Just bought myself a Secret Weapons Short Ram for my 2000 Honda CRV and a PCR performance chip! My b-day is coming up next Sunday so I'll have a fun time doing the installs when time allows me to.
@@solomonstellotry a thorton one, I got one for my 2009 Corolla and it 100% made a noticeable difference for me, not 60 but like 35/40 more hp at least, getting a intake and a borola exhaust next
It depends on what you feel is “better.” It’ll make more noise and a slight bump in power if that’s what you’re after, but more airflow means more dirt into the engine, which may not be so good for longevity. Pros and cons for these things, really depends on what you want to do with your car!
That’s the front strut bar, and it increases the rigidity of the chassis which increases handling performance while cornering since it reduces body flex.
Yep, I still have this intake installed! I swapped out the Weapon-R filter with a K&N one just because it seems less restrictive but the intake pipe is still the same. I haven't had any issues with it besides it tripping a P0171 lean code

I was trying to look for reviews on the secret R intake bc I have the 2.4l frontier and secret R is the only company that makes a cold air intake for my truck but pretty much I just want to know how good this will be bc I plan on buying one but when I do I’m swap the filter that comes with the intake for a K&N filter bc I just don’t trust that filter but pretty much good video and keep up the great work if your still doing videos
Thanks for the comment! I’m still running this intake to this day with no issues, wouldn’t be a bad idea to swap filters, I haven’t personally had issues with the Weapon R filter but I do think K&N filters are better quality, I would say overall it’s a nice quality intake
@@itseptik3467 Yep, the filter is washable and I believe Weapon R claims it should last the life of the car. I'd recommend cleaning it every 10k-20k miles

If you haven’t replaced your intake manifold gasket I would start there, they fail quite often. Definitely replace it with the updated OEM Orange gasket, the felpro gasket will leak again
Your music sucks and if you have any common sense a short ram air intake is horrible for your car because you are pulling hot air from your engine compartment a proper cold air intake set up should be vented from the Fender Weld or front bumper
Heat shield fixes that problem plus some heat resistant coating on the tubing / piping. Learn a lil about cold snowy countries before dissing a short ram. Cold air vented low in these climates kills engines with water

Thanks alot. Did you have any mass air sensor issues with it?
No issues with the sensor, but not a bad idea to clean it at least every time the filter is cleaned/changed
Looking to do this with my corolla it’s a 2004 CE, any place to get an cold air intake for a non high price?

I bought it from carid.com

The engine light will get reset when u disconect ur battery btw

Is the resonator box still in there
It’s a short ram or a cold air? When I look at the product is says cold air in the description
