I have the same corolla generation and am still using it... 20 plus years of driving and still never failed me big time. Cheap new parts are still available.
One thing that really does help, although it seems so minor, next time you get a car with wheel covers, use a satin black spray paint on the steel wheels before you put caps on - it really does make it look so much better! Love these upgrades you do for your friends and subscribers! I am in NJ, too!
Also, if you do have alloy wheels, painting the rear drums or front disk "hats" black also helps the alloys to pop. Much better than looking at rusty brake components behind the wheels.

Suggestion if one near you to save money is go to a junkyard and get the OEM hubcaps for cheaper. I did this with my 03 Sentra back in HS I got the original hubcaps from a crashed Sentra for $15. I had to remove them myself but it was worth it. I got some other items at the wreckers too, I got the center console armrest, and I the upgraded visors. In December I bought a 2004 Corolla CE. The stock black steel wheels got Nokian Haakappilliitta R5 winter tires. I bought some very nice alloy wheels to mount the Michelin Defenders the car came with. That factory 15 inch wheel covers really do look nice on it. It may be 20 years old, but the original owner drove it 20 years and put 100,000 miles on the clock. Consider she was forced to stop driving at age 95, the amount and frequency of use was perfect. I kust admit I am more than pleasantly surprised with the old car. Who knows. Maybe I will be driving Yoda until I'm 95.
That’s legit the same I’ve done. Mine was my grandmas with 210k miles. It’s in the shop right now cause I spun out a few weeks ago in the rain. I got some wheels for it off a 98 integra that I’m 99% sure will fit. I want a duckbill spoiler but I think I’ll have to just do an oem spoiler wing
@@TactileLoki Are the 98 integra wheels 4x100? They should fit im looking to get rid of my steelies but don't want to drop to much money on new wheels just waiting for a good deal.
They are. Well they should be. My car is in the shop right now. I’d be doing the work but I don’t have much time working 6 days a week and going to the gym. I paid $250 but I probably could’ve negotiated to 225 or something. And if you find some jump on it and ask if they can hold them for you. Pick them up at the earliest cause someone will end up buying them. Took me at least 3-4 months of looking and finding for them to be bought out. I actually picked the pair up earlier today
My only issue is the extra interior lighting. For the best vision at night you need your interior lighting as low as possible including the dashboard. I guess if you’re going to put it in a car show then go all out. Otherwise keep the inside lighting to a minimum.
