I wanted to say thank you for getting this out more. I had known Caleb and his family since I was a boy, I even worked at MFD with Caleb and Melissa when they first met. He was a great guy and his two boys came first before anything in his life. He had a great relationship with his parents. His mother and father were great as well, they would be the first to offer anything you needed. Melissa was crazy from the start including how she use to tell Caleb how she couldn't have kids of her own due to medical issues and she wanted to adopt. This had a special place in his heart because he could give some child a life like he was given, but months later... She was pregnant. Watching Caleb become a father was... Next level. Being a father was his dream, he put his family and boys before everything and everyone. Melissa on the other hand didn't like the fact that the boys were now the centre of attention and the boys idolized their father. Caleb was never a huge drinker till she kicked him out and tried to take the kids from him. Sure he would have a few drinks from time to time like any of us but never like he did after that. Her taking the kids crushed him. And Chris stepped into the picture within days of her kicking Caleb out. Chris was manipulated by her from the start, he was easily distracted as a meathead... Just a big guy without to much of anything else. That poor guy was seduced by her and manipulated into doing her bidding. I hope the boys never want to see Melissa again even though she's their mother. I wish we had the death penalty here so Melissa and Chris would both hang. Thank you for this comment about Caleb and I'm relieved to know that his boys are together, safe and being well cared for. This case is sad for a number of reasons and it's also infuriating to know that the police could've stopped the mom and Caleb from being murdered had they actually investigated the father's death. Instead they chose to overlook the obvious probably because Melissa's family being Police officers and as far as I'm concerned, that police investigators all have blood on their hands and they should be charged with a corruption and 2nd degree murder.
@Cassandra Chris is and was nothing but a meathead. He blindly followed everything the wanted and ordered him to do. His fear was she would leave him. Yes he is responsible but it was always her being the puppet master.

Did you notice when Melissa was talking about Bridget dying a week after the anniversary, she says "you feel upset again, you feel like you go through that REMORSE again". Nah, only the murderer feels remorse Melissa, what Bridget was feeling was grief. Pretty telling slip of the tongue there.
Bingo! I caught that and I'm shocked the cops didn't. People who experience a tragedy not of their own fault don't go through remorse...sadness, grieving, yes. Not remorse.
"I'm not pointing fingers, but perhaps he killed his mother. I'm not going to point fingers though, but definitely he killed her. Also, I'm not going to point fingers, but maybe look into this Caleb killing his mom thing, k?." - Melissa
Thank GOD she's not pointing fingers! However, if you'll just follow the direction her entire hand is going...toward Caleb...but she's not pointing fingers! That would be rude...considering murder is okay, along with denying loving grandparents for those kids you're fighting so hard to keep to yourself, but for the love of God! DON'T accuse her of pointing fingers!
Melissa when discussing the death of her ex mother in law: well a year passed, and you go though that remorse again..." Remorse? The word is grief, hun. But for you it may be remorse since you killed him:/
Watch Deception Detective... it's called "leakage" when people say remorse instead of grief. They "leak" the truth if you listen carefully. She was feeling "remorse" (not as we would feel remorse, but remorse knowing that the law would eventually catch her) about having to kill again, and attributed her feelings onto Bridget.
Cops are the worst. I had this childhood friend who loved cops, but he never finished the 8th grade one year shy of being able to be a cop. He made friends with this cop and brought him on our annual hunting trip, I was pissed off and the cops picked at my son the entire time and then shot a tiny little deer acted like he was having sex with it then left it laying saying he didn’t want it. He would also cheat on his wife and girlfriends and send the sex pictures to my friend. What a POS. I hate cops.
100% Agreed. Total fucking bullshit. I'm all for cops, but I hope the ones on these cases that let it slip, after all the red flags, meets the homicidal couple in the inner ring of hell, if there is such a thing.
Yes it appears the children were nothing more then...possessions. Can’t understand why she wasn’t in legal trouble for the false police reports well before this happened.
Bill and Brigitte seemed to be such nice people. Adopted a son, and raised him as their own. Caleb, also, though he wasn't perfect, loved his biological children. Ironically, that love ultimately ended up getting them killed.
My favourite is how she manages to shove "ever since my kids were taken away" in there just to get that sympathy. I guess the nice thing is the interrogator probably couldn't give less of a shit about her custody battle except for how it relates to the murder
I grew up in Brampton, just up the road from Mississauga. It gave me a shiver when Mike mentioned the Peel Regional cops. They were not highly regarded as investigators even back in the day. In high school, as teenagers we all learned early to be afraid - very afraid - of them. We all knew they had places they'd take you for a ride to and teach you about "law and order" because we all knew someone who'd been through it with them. It doesn't sound like things have gotten better there...
Yep. Grew up in mississauga, that's how we felt about them. My husband had the shit kicked out of him by them twice when he was a teenager. They're pure psychos
*Hoooooow* did they not suspect her after that interview when Bridget died? She mentions her motive, suggests a natural means for Bridget's death while also attempting to gain sympathy for herself by talking about how 'sick' she's been, and stresses the idea of Caleb murdering his mother while blatantly trying to make it look like she's not stressing it. This woman is throwing up more red flags than a Communist rally.
Those poor kids, not only were they dealing with a messy divorce of their parents which is traumatizing enough, they saw their grandmas dead body. Now they have no family. I feel so bad for those babies.
At 13:13 in the interview Melissa says about the one year anniversary of the fathers death, bringing up emotions… she says “remorse” …she was so nervous she spoke about her own feelings… instead of the mother’s emotions, which would have been “grief.” BINGO!! Let a liar speak, and they’ll rattle off so much, they end up giving themselves away…
Basically what I’m hearing is.... the kids should have been taken from her sooner. Coaching children to make things up and they still just sent them back with that devil
I truly hope that the family of the Harrison's sued the crap out of that city/police department. Use it for a fund for the poor children who are the ones left to suffer. 💙🌻
Melissa comes from a law enforcement family. This was an active police coverup, guaranteed. The second spouse turns up dead in the same house in less than a year and they declare it "undetermined" after two weeks? Someone in that department had a hand in this and they need to be brought to justice.
Often claims like this are overly-paranoid conspiracy theories about cops, but in this case.... yeah....no logical justification...maybe unethical laziness.... also I'm all for the conspiracy theories about cops because they absolutely should be constantly held to account.
Poor Bill,Bridget ,Caleb and his children. When I seen the photos of Bill I got such nice vibes from him. May they rest in piece and hope the kiddies are doing well.💗
Chris was running “errands” all day. Never dawned on the police to see exactly what these “errands” where? Also poor Caleb seems like all he wanted was to raise his kids in a loving household.
I feel beyond AWFUL for those kids, especially Caleb's. Every single parental figure in their life is gone now. I pray they are somewhere where they are loved and can heal from this trauma.
I hope your speaking figuratively and don’t actually think praying is going to cause some all powerful being to do something, a being that obviously doesn’t have a problem watching without action if it exists.
First thing I was thinking. Poor Harrison family, and poor babies. Their devil of a mother just made sure she killed their dad and grandparents, just thinking about nobody but herself. Who cares if those kids would lose half their family right? Types of people like that woman shouldn't be allowed to have children, man.
This one is sticking in my mind. The whole family was slaughtered, because the police let that happen. The kids were effectively orphaned, because the police let that happen. No words.
Melissa: Sooo weird she died. Anyway, let’s talk about MY stress. And speculate how he beat his adoptive mother to death cause I’m the last shite talker on this earth.
Reminds me of one of Jodi Arias' interrogations. Like's she's being all casual and "listen, I don't wanna be a snitch, y'know - I don't want to cast any doubts on his character, I'm not a vengeful ex or anything -" You'd think if she really thought that this was something he was capable of she'd be a *bit* more preoccupied with the fact that he has partial custody of her kids - kids she's unlikely to ever get full custody of because a stupid move she pulled a year or so prior, kids who have now lost the buffer of their grandmother - than a fucking a stomach ulcer.
How can Chris Fattore call them "his" kids. They weren't his kids. They were Caleb's. He was simply the live-in boyfriend who also had kids with Melissa.
Yes, and not even step kids unless he married her…..which he didn’t (yet?). Mike mentions a divorce after going to prison, but common law doesn’t require a divorce. Did I miss the real wedding somewhere? Lol
@@mrs.snyder2170 you do have to go through divorce and all the incidental processes to end a common law marriage (at least in the US, which is based on the same English common law that underlies the Canadian judicial system).
My poor husband has the flu and I am cleaning the house with you on the speaker and he is listening in the bed. I didn't even know he was awake until he commented on the story lol no one can resist listening to you!
They should never get out. Those kids were lucky to have such caring grandparents and dad. Now they don’t have anyone. God bless Caleb, Bridget and Bill🌹
"I'm not going to point fingers, butttt maybe Caleb smashed her head into a door and then chocked her for 4 - 6 minutes, I mean I don't knowwww" Man this case is such a shame, so many opportunities for the police to stop this.
That selfish witch left her kids orphaned. That’s not love, that’s ego and possession. What a narcissistic, psychopath. You will never convince me she didn’t know exactly what was going to happen. And Bridgets autopsy didn’t show she had been strangled??? Wtf??
The parents looked so nice, cool wedding in 1969 and its just unbelievable what that poor family went through, cops bloody useless. I wonder where the kids are now.
I’m only a quarter of the way through the vid and I already feel so bad for the kids who had to grow up in the middle of this exceptionally twisted mess.
Exactly! I hate when people like him make up BS like Caleb and his parents were abusing and mistreating the two kids he had custody of, so he had to kill them!!
...maybe you should've taken into account that you had children before you decided to murder people and risk going to fucking jail? Especially now you've wiped out the other side of the family and increased the chance they're going into foster care.
@@thepanpiper7715 that's the saddest part.. they took away damn near EVERYONE who actually cared about the children, including themselves. Dummies of the decade.!
Mike's a pro, better than anything on tv, if my memory serves me well. Charming, hilarious, non-judgemental. He's never said anything 'off' and he's always spot-on.
Unless a child is being harmed, I will never understand how one parent feels it's their right to get 100 percent custody. Child has 2 parents...such a selfish thing-to the child and other parent. Shame shame shame....
They were obviously not, especially not once Caleb had them alone, single male with custody? the court only needs a slight hint of maltreatment and they'll have no hesitation in taking the kids from him. It's also not very rare that moms can feel like they own the children and become very nasty when they're not allowed to be the absolute authority. That's when coaching might start for example and as we say here... attempts to hint that their father might be a murderer to police
Pretty sure there’s more to it than what we’re hearing, I think that the courts deemed who is stable and who is unstable, it’s evident here that the mom was pretty unstable hence why he got 100% custody
No the mom left touring Canada and didnt show for Court, thats why she lost custody .. and male or female, the children are awarded to the Primary Caregiver, this is usually the female but can be the male .. yes kids need Both parents, but the main custody will go to the Primary Caregiver because thats who bonds and spends the most time with the children .. I am quoting American law but Canadian is prob not much diff rulings on this issue ..
I've known 3 adopted kids/families. 2 of them were crazy spitting images of their dads, the 3rd was a different race from his family, but looked just like a long passed greatgrandfather. Crazy.
"I didn't want [the kids] to find their grandma's corpse." (more or less) No, you just wanted them to be traumatized three separate times. Only a monster would traumatize their kids _four_ times.
@@fluffychan6000 Exactly, I thought the same thing. Melissa had a father and brother who were cops but the behaviour of the police department is unbelievable. The coroner seemed hopeless as well but perhaps he was encourage NOT to find evidence of murder. Sickening isn't it. If they had only done their job two people's lives could have been saved. Shocking.
Don't for a second think I'm defending these people. They should spend the rest of their lives in jail. Simple as that. No reason to make it worse. How are you any different from them? They likey did what they did because they felt like they were wronged by the victims. Therefore giving them the idea that they had some right to do this just as you guys feel justified in your own hate

Mr. and Mrs. Harrison obviously loved each other, their son and their grandchildren very much. What an awful, awful story. Those poor children will never know their father or of his parents. Mr. Harrison looked like a really good guy, too.
My son played baseball with one of the sons. Caleb helped coach. Sometimes Melissa and Chris were at the games. Really disturbing when we learned about this after Caleb’s murder.
As a Canadian, I love and completely appreciate that in every Canadian chapter during the interrogation at least one person has a Tim Hortons coffee cup 😂 🇨🇦 🍁
I wish they would have done something before Caleb ended up getting murdered. Melissa and Chris are trash. If she really loved her kids she would have accepted 50/50 custody.
Exactly.Instead she manipulated her own kids and taught them to lie and manipulated that idiot too who just killed without even checking..They are both trash.
Yep. 50/50 should be the norm unless there are exceptional circumstances. Anyone who objects to shared custody is NOT acting in the best interest of their children.
@@joannaw5913 I completely agree - as long as both parents love their kids and are in good situations to care for them then the best thing for them is to have BOTH parents in their lives! Otherwise they grow up always wondering, feeling more unloved by one or the other parent, etc. You don't want you children to grow up with resentment or confusion over by who or how much they are loved! Such a sad story and such a selfish biatch.
Her whole family was Law Enforcement. That's why nothing was ever looked into too closely. They didn't want to know, most likely. And i don't believe for one second, that Melissa didn't know anything until after the fact. She seemed to me, to be the constant agitator and instigator, for everything that happened. She never let up on the hateful drama for one second, in all those years. She literally drove her husband right around the emotional bend, with her constant badgering, whining, wailing, and gnashing of teeth! The only thing she didn't do, was rend her clothing, and wear sackcloth and ashes, and i'm not so sure she didn't resort to that too! There's nothing more ugly, or more damaging, than a spiteful, selfish person, who just has to have their own way, regardless of who gets hurt! And what really sucks, was her bullshit was all based on spiteful, selfish LIES. The evidence of her malicious machinations, was evident with every false Police Report she filed!
when the ex-wife was saying "I'm not here to point fingers" is a great example of a guilty person overexplaining in an attempt to look innocent. Guilty people often repeat themselves over and over despite not adding any additional information. Especially to someone who does these types of interviews regularly, they can tell the difference between guilt and nervousness.
Not necessarily. It can be just that. That you may feel compelled to say something to help a case, if you are innocent and have potential info, but at the same time don’t want to point fingers. It’s not a great example of a guilty person...
Imagine being this selfish and short-sighted. Even if she really did hate him enough to kill him AND his family, not once did she stop and think about her kids and what would happen to them if she failed. Now her kids have no mother, no father, no stepfather and no grandparents. Smh
My mum and dad divorced when I was 11 my mum lost custody my dad got full custody of 4 of us and stuff, my mum was pissed but she knew she couldn't look after us.

You know Melissa’s guilty as soon as she’s being interrogated-her explanations are way way too long and detailed. Clear sign of lying. Liars over share, looking for reinforcement that they are giving a believable story. Classic
You're both right and wrong. Yes liars over share details, but so do nervous people, and even innocent people can be nervous when being questioned. So while this case it's true, try not to present a whole "hey they over shared thus they lied" mentality.
I just continued to see if the kids ended up in a loving home. These people really made me sick to my stomach... poor children, both parents ripped away after losing both grandparents.. I hope they are in counseling and deeply cared for. 😔

I have noticed this also. Remember Leticia Stauch? And Chris... whatever the f his name was, that shit milkshake who killed his wife & little daughters- and they always go on TV and pretend they just ran away, yet it's all about themselves crying about "haters"
They should have been living out their retirement together, watching their grandbabies growing up. Do you think that race might have played a part in how easily dismissed each case was? Or, were the police just incompetent?

Maybe she wasn't pointing fingers or anything, maybe remorse for killing her husband made her beat herself in the face and throw herself down the stairs ? Because thats a thing lol It was annoying the cop didn't catch that
If you look at the left hand column of the autopsy report you can clearly see Bridgett was strangled, any pathologist should have recognised those tell tale injuries straight away. It was bad enough that they just glossed over the injuries to Bill but you really have to ask how they missed this. I’m surprised they didn’t rule Caleb’s death natural as well, I wonder if Melissa’s family being in law enforcement had anything to do with not investigating the first two murders?
22:34 This pissed me off so much to hear from this whiny baby - did he imagine the judge going, _"Well... you did kill two other human beings, both a grandmother and recent widower, plus her son, himself a father, so I was going to just give you life in prison, but you did admit to it and have kids of your own, so... you're free to go."_ If anything, the fact he had kids, yet still risked being locked up the rest of his life and thus completely absent from their lives, plus them dealing with knowing their dad is a murderer - not to mention killed another father - just makes it that much worse.
A-the-frick-men. I thought similar things as he babbled on and on with his rehearsed confession that was meant to spare his common law wife, but she ended up screwing him over in the end, too.
It totally pissed me off when he said he did it because they were an awful family that treated the kids bad. Such bullshit. There was zero evidence to that & if he was either brainwashed by his selfish evil wife or they just told themselves that to justify murder is just reprehensible!!! If the kids were being abused there were proper channels to go through. It was all just made up because she didn't get her way. Of course they weren't there to defend themselves & it makes me sick. I hope extended family members get time w/ the kids now & teach them that their murdered father & grandparents were good loving people. This one is just super sad.
Caleb and Melissa's two kids are growing up with no parents or grandparents - because their mother either killed them, or had them killed. That is going to be a horrific burden for them to cope with.
What do you mean Chris admitted to killing them , she may have been involved with killing Caleb parents but Chris definitely killed caleb he was a huge dude.

When the cops just shelve cases like that, they should be charged with accessory after the fact. A whole family got wiped out because of them.
Totally
100% Agreed. Total fucking bullshit. I'm all for cops, but I hope the ones on these cases that let it slip, after all the red flags, meets the homicidal couple in the inner ring of hell, if there is such a thing.

Melissa's dad and brother were Cops, so she had inside help from law enforcement covering for her.
My heart hurts for the 6 children that now don’t have parents because of this crap. She didn’t really love those children, she just hated Caleb.

I learned this from the Chris Watts interviews on the channel "Jim Can't Swim."
They murdered poor Bill as well. The police force should be ashamed of themselves.
(1) "we followed all relevant procedures," and (2) "we didn't have the resources to fully investigate the case."

It's Canada. Crimes go mostly unpunished there.
I mean the interview with her was a biiiig red flag........
Like a Biden/Harris rally. 😅
Shabby police work - better to close the case as an accident than unsolved murder, which would lower a detective's clearing rate.

Yes!!
Agreed but I had heard about this one before. I think it was on Dateline possibly but still...crazy case.
@@wmurch3 I'm in the UK so maybe that is why I wasnt aware of this case.
To be honest even when there is a case I have read all about and seen videos about I still love Mike's unique way of telling the stories. He has a very different vibe to other true crime youtubers and that is a good thing. Sets him aside.
I agree wit ya, tree hundred and tirty tree percent 👍🏼
She said "remorse" when talking about Bill's death a year prior. Freudian Slip??
It happens
I thought that too!
I thought that exact same thing! I immediately wanted the investigator to ask “what would she have to be remorseful about?”
My thoughts exactly
I noticed that
How disgusting of a mother to take out everyone that those kids rely on and now they have no one. I hope she lives a miserable rest of her life
Guilty people usually talk a lot, like stupid Melissa.
No we don't, no we don't, no we don't, no we don't, no we don't!
lmao i was about to skip the part where she was all blablabla.... even annoying as hell
Exactly
@@DavidSmith-oy4of LOL
I have noticed this also. Remember Leticia Stauch? And Chris... whatever the f his name was, that shit milkshake who killed his wife & little daughters- and they always go on TV and pretend they just ran away, yet it's all about themselves crying about "haters"
What a sad story. Unbelievable how a family's life can turn out when someone gets in a relationship with the "wrong" person.
This is the comment I was looking for
So scary. The wrong friend, wrong relationship can destroy everything... I’m scared to have kids smh
I think it’s important that people should be mindful who they have children with
And what about the kids? Their step-dad and mom murdered their dad and grand parents! They don’t have any family left......😢
Genocide of a paternal family. That kind of fear and hate is unfathomable.
They should have been living out their retirement together, watching their grandbabies growing up. Do you think that race might have played a part in how easily dismissed each case was? Or, were the police just incompetent?
@@Ezinma88
Regardless of the ineptitude of the investigation...
I can not believe race had anything to do with the erasement of a family.
Evil plus.
@@Ezinma88 what has race got to do with it? One was black and one was white.
I like you Mike you’re doing things just perfect they’re Informational with a kick of humor from you keep up the good work thank you
I knew she was guilty when she did the interview for Bridget’s death. She was over explaining herself and placing blame on other people.
Considering the phenomenal editing and frequency of your uploads, it’s easy to realize how much effort you put into this UA-cam endeavor. Thank you for all your hard work just for our entertainment and education!
She said, “you go through that remorse again.” Only the killer would have remorse. And she didn’t misspeak like that at other times.
Maybe she wasn't pointing fingers or anything, maybe remorse for killing her husband made her beat herself in the face and throw herself down the stairs ? Because thats a thing lol
It was annoying the cop didn't catch that
Love how Mike always starts out with a "LOVE STORY".
Her family r police. It says it all
Oh absolutely
Not to mention he did all that for a lying b**ch that just divorced him anyway
Caleb and Melissa's two kids are growing up with no parents or grandparents - because their mother either killed them, or had them killed. That is going to be a horrific burden for them to cope with.
What do you mean Chris admitted to killing them , she may have been involved with killing Caleb parents but Chris definitely killed caleb he was a huge dude.
Does anyone find it interesting that Caleb looks like his adopted parents?
I mean...he did😔
That s what i thought as well
Yes!!!
Not really. I’m adopted. As is my brother. From two different states. We look alike and we look like my mom. It isn’t really that uncommon or weird. It happens a lot...
My brother's adopted. He looks a lot like my mom.
“their house was haunted not by ghosts...by assholes”
made me laugh so hard😭
It gave me life to hear him say that! Assholes are the worst.
I live for his sarcasm and dry humour 🙌🏼🙌🏼😭😭😭
Died laughing at that one 🤣🤣
To be fair, ghosts are the worst kind of assholes.
@@reignman30 First time I have laughed out loud watching a crime story.
