The fact that her nearly grown son was just trying to talk with her and hang out with her and she found it irritating and killed him just makes me wanna cry. 😢
And he had autism. I have 3 grown autistic children, and I can’t imagine harming a hair on their heads. I ❤️ spending time with them. The fact that his mother would want to be rid of him (or ANY of her children) is heartbreaking.
"i regret doing it, I really do." No, she absolutely does not. If she did, she wouldn't have done it every 6 months. She had six whole months between each murder to reflect on guilt and regret, and each time she decided to do it again, and again. She does not have a shred of regret or empathy, she only regrets getting caught.
Exactly this - clearly a malignant narcissist devoid of empathy. I'd be willing to bet that she would've killed her favourite daughter if she even so much as stepped out of line, or became a "burden" too. She didn't care about anyone but herself, and the daughter she did like had to act the same way as her / turned into her in order to survive. Clearly mental health issues or folie au deux situation. All the kids didn't stand a chance in one way or another.
when they interrogated the daughter who helped they asked if the youngest child was going to be next and she said "i don't think so, she actually has potential." i couldn't believe what i was hearing 💔
She got away with it with Blues Traveler or whatever her husband's name was....and he oldest son was autistic and she likely didn't want to deal with that...I'm surprised it wasn't her youngest who was next....if she had learning difficulties then I'd think she wouldn't want to deal with her. But it was the getting away with the first moida that kept her going!!!
@@xell1969 that was Rachel, the daughter. Diane was straight up cold-blooded. I think Rachel could have come out differently if it wasn't for Diane. Kudos to Sarah for forgiving them, I don't think I would be able to forgive someone for killing 2 of my family members and trying to kill me
@@johnmcmanus2447 yea I think she was strongly shaped by her mother. It's almost like her mother intentionally made her daughter codependent on her, to the point she could talk her into anything, and the reason she never left the home was because she couldn't function without her mother, but when that codependency started to tire her, she decided the daughter had to go too. If you listen to the daughter speak, she sounds a lot like her mother, but I just get the feeling she may have developed entirely differently if she had had a healthy relationship instead of the toxic one her mother fostered. It's a really sad case that's for sure. I'm just glad the youngest girl is away from those two now. Who knows how long she had left. Hopefully she is in a loving, stable environment now.
"When Sarah got bad, why did you guys take her to the hospital?" "I didn't want another one to die in the house..." "Why is that?" "'Cause houses are *nasty* after someone's died in them...like after Shaun died I had a lot of nightmares...I moved into his room for a while and I kept feeling things in there...It was awful, awful, awful...ugh." Well-played, Shaun.
It was Shaun letting Sarah and mom know they done messed up! It's one thing to murder somebody, but if it's a animal, child, special needs person or just a person who is innocent by way of being nice to everyone, their spirit becomes poltergiests to avenge against the one who killed them! It's like a superhero's spirit, they come back to haunt you for taking them out of the universe! Shaun kept letting his mother and sister know they done did it this time!
When she was saying it gave her bad feelings and dreams etc i thought good, i hope they terrified her and i can imagine her mind must've have been scared the spirits were haunting her, i hope they continue to do so in their jail cells for the rest of their lives, i hope they visit every night👻
And at around @20:12, the way she was explaining "why" she killed sean, her autistic son. So freakin heartbreaking. And the cop said, "...so he was just a constant bother, huh?" And diane paused, and then said, "more than a bother..." Like...DUDE...what a horrendous person. She was explaining how he would hover over her while she was trying to work and stuff...and it makes my heart break picturing him, full of innocence, watching his mama work, not knowing what was coming to him. 😔😣 there are truly evil people in this world.
Both mom and daughter probably have girlfriends already. It's easy to imagine they're being punished by other inmates but I doubt it. After all, the other inmates have murdered too.
In the worst way ...in every way.... physically, mentally, brutally, let's discuss it over some green tea, and lime jello, made it special for ya Di's mmmmm. Cuz u Special !!!
A normal mother would just bring him to a psychiatrist and put him on medication. She probably just didn't want to be his mother anymore. She did it for herself, not him. Edit: probably a narcissist. (Not diagnosing, just speculating.) Narcissists don't get narcissistic supply from older kids; they only get it from babies because they're dependent on them for survival.
As someone who is autistic, my heart broke when that poor boy’s mom murdered him because he was grieving in a way she didn’t like. Of course he was clingy! He just lost his dad and all he wanted to do was spend time with her. This hits me hard.
Pretty sure, in the same way that she had just said that Shaun didn't "need" to be killed - they could have found assisted living for him, she's saying that Sarah's murder was also "unneeded", as she immediately follows that with: "we could have found some other place for her". I think she's just trying to push more blame on her mom to take it off herself, I don't think she's telling the truth, but just saying, in that moment I'm pretty sure she's not saying that Sarah herself was "unneeded" so they just got rid of her.
Exactly why more and more us men are walking away from getting married and even having sex anymore. I have seen so much evil from fellow human beings, The level of using another human being just to feel whole is quite sad. So many humans kill one another for pathetic reasons. I am not a pessimist more hopeful type, but each day the madness in the western societies has really got me cynical.
@Muhammad Ali Taking a pass on marriage and kids is financially prudent. But giving up on sex sounds like something someone says when they can't get any to begin with.
The first warning sign was that she picked favorites. It's so damaging even psychologically. Poor Sarah having to be alive to know that her mother and sister betrayed her. And removed her siblings as well. Her forgiveness is unfathomable.
Sarah can make her own decisions. She could easily take the atheist nihilist route and remain in a permanent state of resentment. Yet she chose forgiveness and happiness. We're all sinners.
So Rachiel was helping mom kil off the family, my bad Sarah was a victim! Well Diane and Rachiel better move over, a Burger King employee is likely to join these ladies for food tamporing! She served french fries from the garbage to two black women, but they saw her do it and called the police! That now former Burger King employee is looking at life in prisonif she's convicted, Racheal and Diane are about to have some company plus the former fast food employee will have to pay out of prison work to earn, then send money to her victims and Burger King have to pay hundreds of millions to the victims as well! I wonder if the state will put Diane and Racheal to prison labor to pay for Sarah's recovery and expenses? After what they did they should pay up!
The daughter described staying in her brother's room after they killed him as a "nightmare". It was so bad that they moved. I'm glad he haunted her. I hope they're both haunted for the rest of their lives.
I mean, do you not see how malnourished & off she was? The whole story of what went on in that home is not being said. All the children looked chronically malnourished & sickly. Mother looks to be a covert narcissist & the one daughter her “golden child”.. likely groomed her whole life by her mom with coercive control. Daughter’s entire personality gets degraded & replaced with a compliant supply that needs to please.
i have a son with autism and the way she said that shaun bothered her because he was always around or had nothing to do is fucking DEVASTATING to hear, my son hovers over me 24/7 but i cant ever imagine feeling that way about him. truly, some people are not meant to be parents.
Listen, I'm not throwing shade at anyone here. Having said that, all humanity is capable of these vile acts, it's just some find another out, without retorting to acts of evil. Make no mistake though, all Humans are capable of being devil's.
Agreed. I have 3 with autism and they do the same thing as your son. I adore them. They are so vulnerable and trusting; I can’t imagine ever doing anything to harm them. You are right about some people not being meant to be parents.
I actually saw this story on dateline, and the sister who survived was so angry and so hurt that even to this day she hasn't spoken to her mother or her evil sister. I frankly don't blame her.
@@itsasquid from what I remember, she's doing well, still has some effects from the poisoning, but she's doing good. I will say that the mother was a coward, cause she wouldn't even look at her daughter when she made her statement. Again I don't know who's worse the mother or the daughter, I do know there's a special place in hell for those two.
@@tonyabrookes9931 She should have looked at her daughter when she forgave her. If your woman enough to murder your husband and son along with trying to murder your other child, you look them in the eye and stand there and see the results of what you did to her.
@@itsasquid Well she is a Christian and believes in forgiveness. I can understand that, she also forgave both of them because, who wants to walk around with hatred in there heart, they would have got what they wanted if she didn't forgive them. She didn't just forgive them cause it was the Christian thing to do, she did so she could move on with life, I admire her for that.
Like a lot of people, the mother was brought up to believe that getting angry is always a bad thing. So she spent her whole life "stuffing her anger" until she just couldn't take it anymore. That's not a good reason to murder anyone but at least it's understandable. But what's really bizarre is that she raised one of her daughters to be just like her. There is NO Way that this mother was "normal" until she started to kill. My guess is that the husband knew for years what a Mental Case she was, but he enjoyed "free loading" off of her too much to chance disturbing this weird family dynamic that allowed him to be a full time, lifetime loafer.
Just a little FYI. I had a Rottweiler, I was working in the garage one day and heard my dog drinking something. She got into a bucket of antifreeze. I called the vet and explained what happened, I didn't have any money and it was on a Sunday so most vets were closed and all liquor stores were closed. The vet told me I better find some Vodka because that's the antidote for antifreeze. In Ohio they sell diluted liquor everywhere and I was able to talk a woman into selling me a bottle. So first I dumped the Vodka down her throat and then peroxide to make her vomit because that's what the vet said. My dog got very drunk and passed out but was absolutely fine. So if your dog gets into antifreeze, you can save it's life with Vodka if you don't wait too long. I hope you don't need to do this but it really does work. You're welcome.
It’s sad to think that Mike will never, ever run out of content. And while I love his work murder is a never ending, repeated behavior amongst humans across all walks of life. Very sad.
I’m starting to see more comments like this one. I watch a lot of child predator catching videos and it’s like suddenly everyone realizes yea it’s entertainment but it’s also an indication that nobody is “learning” from seeing people go to jail, nobody is learning from seeing people publicly humiliated for trying to meet and have sex with the underaged /kids.
But at the same time, death is a natural part of life. We all die and yet it is usually portrayed as tragic and unexpected, and that no one deserves to die. Like it's a punishment. That's delusional and a bit egotistical. We all die, we all deserve it.
I’ve said it before & I’ll say it again. So happy for how well it’s going for you Mike. You really deserve it. Such an awesome UA-camr. One of the best for sure
The Mother also kept trying to bring her daughter a "smoothie" while she was in the hospital but the hospital staff ( thank Goodness) wouldn't allow her to give them to her daughter to drink! Thank goodness for that!!
@bethoneybee I doubt very much that she drank it as well. When I heard her say that, I rolled my eyes!! She was trying to finish her off so she wouldn't say anything...What a monster of a mother!
“i didn’t want another one to die in the house” rachel’s comment sent chills. truly no remorse. like they were just objects or rats that had gotten stuck in a wall and died
LOL. So, you would be ok with her lying and saying what a wonderful child she is, she's makes her complete, that she won't be able to go on if anything happens?
So for her to be honest vs outright lying (my comment reeked of sarcasm) is worse in your pea brain minds? Women's emotions are the bane of civilization.

His dad had just died, of course he “wouldn’t leave you alone.” He was sad and you’re his mother. He probably assumed you were sad too and wanted to be there for you and you killed him for being a person. I’m about to have my first baby and the mama bear feeling is scary and strong. I don’t understand how one could kill a kid like that. We are supposed to want to protect them. Some people.
My mom used to teach kids with special needs. Unfortunately when you see kids with autism a lot of the time their parents are just horrible. Fed up with them and all. Many kids with special needs are mistreated by their family. It's really sad.
@@J_Lynn That’s really sad but on some level I can almost understand. It would be constant and you would know that it would be for the rest of your life. They can be loud and destructive and even violent in many cases. At some point I’m sure the family would get burned out…they would be on their last straw…every second of every day. I’m sure many of them would suffer chronic depression. Some people can have disabled children and handle it amazingly and still be happy. Others…do it because they don’t have a choice and it eventually takes it’s toll. Everyone has different thresholds of tolerance and not all special needs people are the same either. Some are more challenging.
Sadly she and her husband were not a good genetic mix - all their kids were plainly afflicted with various degrees of mental and physical handicap, which inevitably made them dependent into adulthood. She shouldn't have had children, full stop - she clearly wasn't the maternal type! And she had even less love or patience for vulnerable children who in practical terms could never grow up and become independent. A tragic case all round.
@@J_Lynn I have son with autism I love him with all my heart yes their hard days but I would never hurt him or his feelings never treat my child my heart bad. All my boys are my heart to see them hurt is to see me hurt. I could never understand what this lady did to her family.
I just can’t understand how someone can do something like this. Not just to their own child, but to another human being. How can she think like this about her own children? It’s pure evil.
Well just like how Mike explain it in the video, she hate them. Diane hate her husband, Mark, because he did nothing to support their family. Diane hate her oldest son, Shaun, because he have autism and she also hate her second daughter, Sarah, because she didn't try to find work to pay for her student loans. Edit: Wait guys I just noticed, what happened to Brianna Staudte, the third daughter of Diane Staudte? The youngest child, the one that have learning disability. Where is she?
Yeah, I don't understand why they didn't just move away together, the mom and daughter. If everyone else was dead weight then nobody was forcing you to carry them.
Well she is religious the “I use the part of scriptures that benefits me” and also trying uso some sort of “dark magic” on them. She probably believes in ghosts I don’t think she felt any guilt. One doesn’t call a son “worse than a pest” after murdering him if one feel any guilt. Nope, she was afraid of the ghosts… ironic.
The way they both so matter-of-factly talk about poisoning their entire family is just... chilling. The sister's interview especially is some of the most chilling interrogation footage I've ever seen

It's all about how you tell the story. Mike is great doing that. Entertaining, witty, sarcastic. I hope he does something with his story telling skill.
Mike is a legend. Somehow even with a serious topic he creates videos and he always makes them fun, informative and somehow never seems to take away from the seriousness of the topics. We don't deserve Mike, but I'll have a goooo anytime.
It ALWAYS amazes me how these folks chat with the police without lawyers. They seem to have So much confidence in the fact that they can talk their was out of their own mess.
Kudos to the pastor who notified the authorities about Diane's involvement. Had it not been for his anonymous call, the case would have possibly never been cracked in the first place. One way or the other, they could have gotten away with it and even could have been more likely to grow a trend for murder as they saw killing as an unduly tool to rid themselves of the miseries overwhelmingly surrounded them at the time,
@@Flaschenteufel They’ve got a point though. If you’re suspicious that she killed her husband, why wait until the brother is dead, and now the daughter is in hospital?

It always amazes me how a channel focused entirely on morbid and horrible stories never fails to make me feel oddly comforted. The stories are always handled with the utmost respect but all the while never takes itself too seriously. Keep up the great work! I’m sure I’m not the only Chapterhead here. Love the channel.
Right?! My kids have taken to calling him "uncle Mike" bc they walk in the kitchen while I'm cooking & I always have a That Chapter video playing on the Bluetooth.
It gives me a sense of perspective. "Sure, Mom and I argue a lot, but for all the times she threatened to wring my neck when I was a kid, she never tried to do it."
The first time I heard of this case was when I watched a _Forensic Files_ episode about it years ago. The interviews with the mother give me chills. The way she talks about the murders and poisonings so matter-of-factly makes me shiver.
It's actually ironic how her favourite daughter was probably the most screwed up of the lot of them. The way the daughter talked about houses being nasty after someone dies in one, like it's nothing. Horrible Mother.
I've really enjoyed watching Mike grow as a presenter. He's witty and charming of course, but his real strength is the fact that he does his research! I wonder if he has an entire team or something.
This is the absolute greatest commentary I have ever heard in my 40 something years on this planet... Only person I will ever turn notifications on for is this hilarious chap ❤❤
Im autistic and, sadly, cases like these where caregivers murder those in their care is more common than it should be. Thank you for covering a case which addresses this and respecting the victims ❤
autistic as well. the amount of filicide directed at disabled people is super scary when you look at it, but NO ONE talks about it. it's at least a hundred such murders a year on average to my memory.
@@ghoststardancer5030 I'm also autistic. Autism isn't a mental illness; it's a neurological difference. And if you know what to look for, you can see we've been around throughout history, it's just there hasn't been a name for it until relatively recently, and diagnostic criteria tended to exclude all but the most obvious cases until quite recently.
@@jaynenunya6070 i think you are right there, it doesn't come up very often and had i not read yours and others comments on the subject i wouldn't have known how prevalent it is. Also got me wondering about the amount that get away with it too, because they have a child with a sickness or disability i can imagine it's easier to get away with (obviously this case was ridiculously blatant, 3 deaths in under 12 months) I'm only astonished it wasn't picked up on after the son died and I'm surprised the next daughter who got the treatment hadn't moved out the day after her brothers funeral! i would of for sure. Also got me thinking about the amount of people over the years where detection and criminal sciences were a lot more basic than they are today, same goes for any murder really there but especially domestic and especially domestic crimes against sick people.
OMG! The mother and daughter’s minds are so twisted. Killing their family members like that! Unbelievable! If you hated them just leave. Walk away and have your own life if you hated them. Unbelievable! And she called herself a Christian and went to church. Blows my mind! Great episode Mike! I had never heard of this crazy case.
I’m a Christian and unfortunately there are personality disorders who twist the word for their benefit. My brother uses as a weapon to judge and punish then expects forgiveness. If you don’t forgive then he labels them as a bad Christian.
@Dani Al Yup I agree. I think the christains back then forced jesus to be their God. He said hes not good only God is good.. makes no sense. They didnt even fight his enemies who crucified him. Jesus was afraid. He prayed to God to pass the cup but they ignore that.
Nyah! They are really sweet & sexy white people & not an angry Karen. She just can’t be bothered & her poo doesn’t stink. And damn those student loans, they will drive anyone crazy.
The daughter was clearly groomed and brainwashed since her birth, since she was the mother's favorite. So I wouldn't say it's entirely her fault, but yeah it's still very sinister and evil.
Diane: I didn't know what else to do Seriously?! Heck if she hated her family that much she could have packed her bags and left for tropical island paradise and never returned, but she thought murdering them was her only option ?!
I think she very much lacked the imagination and drive to do anything but exactly what she did. A woman so cold and cruel but also utterly devoid of joy in life, the furthest she could take her thoughts was "this would be more pleasant without these nuisances, actually" and that's it. Absolutely chilling that she would raise a clone of a daughter just as cold and dimensionless. Scary to see what humans can be(come).
Still can't believe how far this channel has come. It's well deserved. I can still remember years ago when you were doing Halloween and scary/strange type videos. Definitely one of my favorites on UA-cam!

Interestingly those same social media urchins who would say such an age discrepancy is "creepy" give Elon Musk a pass despite an almost 20 YEAR age difference. He's wealthy and SpaceX so I guess he gets a pass
If you can stomach it (no pun intended) I recommend watching Rachel's interrogation too. It's seriously creepy how much her interrogation is exactly like her mom's, except Rachel laughs like a psychopath during hers. Neither one of them even tried to act concerned over Sarah's condition. Kudos to the detective who broke them both. He is one incredibly patient man because listening to those two for several hours each...boke.
Seriously, the patient way he talked the mom through it was wild. It would be so difficult to keep up the act of empathizing for me when she's talking about killing her son because he pestered her.
This is a great interrogator for her. Calm, sweet, I always wonder how they decide who they’ll throw at them, abrasive interrogators work in some situations, but I feel they paired this so well to get her to open up.
How can a parent not like their kids, hate their kids,be jealous of their kids, think so poorly of their kids, look at their kids while thinking of ways to kill them so they can live happily ever after?! This really breaks my heart for the surviving victim😢
Literally just watched the interrogation videos from this case yesterday. The level of depravity with these two just blows my mind. I swear I will NEVER know how people can think and feel (or more like not feel) the way they do. Their total lack of remorse and empathy is something I’ll never understand.

And, without warning, you alone get to see it and no one believes what you reveal about them because it is not possible in the eyes of others. They are different people inside. well said I think people once they are in an institutuion like marraige/family do not think of what the individuals in that instituion are capable of or if they are psychopaths or not. people dont think of whether the person is "good" inherently they just think they are socially proofed by an instituion and therefore are safe "good people

That's called feeling guilty for murdering your autistic brother who just wanted to be near someone after his dad suddenly died. No ghosts, no monsters, just human guilt. You'd "feel something" too if that were you who had just killed basically your whole family and then slept in the dead's room, who you just killed.
It is creepy living in a home where a family member died. I remember that when I was a kid after my pop died. It sucks. But NO ONE KILLED HIM! So, you know, for what it's worth from sone who knows how bad it can get: Hope you're doing okay, take care of yourself and I love ya. ;)
Why don't the police check for anti-freeze as it seems to be a popular way to kill. I knew as soon as they said the husband had been ill for a few days, looked slightly green and very unlike himself...................anti-freeze.
The look was for being high school sweethearts yet still having a 10-year age difference. Either they started dating when she was in 5th grade or he was almost 30 when she was still in high school.
My mother recently passed away and I needed a distraction from the chaos of funeral planning, countless phone calls, crying my eyes out, etc. Your mind can only take so much grief. That Chapter's new and older videos are giving my mind a distraction, if only momentarily, that it desperately needed for a little bit each day. Thanks, Mike, you have no idea how much your work helps people in so many different ways. ♥️
Bless you, these are hard tomes for you and I'm glad you have a distraction. I don't know you, but I hope you continue to find comfort and know that one day, you'll be in a more settled place. Take care of yourself x
I am so sorry. I lost my Mom last April. I watch these videos to help occupy my mind. I took care of my Mom. I miss being with her everyday. My sons moved out. I am alone all day. It hard.
I’m very touched that you added in a little tribute to him. His name and birth/passing day with pics of him. Very respectful of you. I’m very proud of you for doing that hun. ❤️
23:34 "I didn't want another one to die in the house." She took her sister to the hospital, not to try to actually help her, but so that she, herself, wouldn't be freaked out in the house. Even her reason for getting her sister some help was selfish and evil. Both mother and daughter are pure evil. The apple doesn't fall far from the tree.
These might be the most evil people I’ve seen on this channel to date. The fact that they didn’t even do it for money, just for convenience *AND* had the audacity to go to church of all places while leaving their family members to die at home is a new level of vile I didn’t think was possible
Fun fact: If you ever accidentally drink antifreeze, good old *ethanol* can counteract the poison. This is why I like to drink a few shots of whiskey periodically throughout the day just for safety.
I used to work for a veterinarian a long time ago when I was a teenager. One day while cleaning something, I found a bottle of vodka under the sink and asked why it was there. The doctor then explained to me that if there is an animal who has been poisoned with antifreeze, they give it some vodka to try and counteract the ethylene glycol forming crystals in the animal’s kidneys. I thought that was so cool!
I wonder if Rachel ever thought that her mother would do the same to her as she did with the other family members. Did she honestly think it wouldn't happen? How different was she compared to the others, being described as useless, dead-weight, pests, etc.
I watched two of her interviews and in one of them she did in fact say "I probably would have killed myself" because "it was probably gonna be me next" Edit: I will also add she sounded very insincere
I believe she thought she would be next if she didn't help. Also, having attended high school with Rachel, I wouldn't be surprised if there wasn't also Munchausen by proxy going on. She looked even worse when I saw her the summer before they got caught.
it's so disheartening to hear such cases. every kid looks up to parents for help and support and when that trust only breaks. it's so sad what happened to his son.😢
Let everyone thank that pastor, becauss these 2 WOULD have gotten away with it. This case is a LOT more haunting than you realize, because it could happen to ANY ONE of our neighborhoods, friends, or even our own family.
"I didn't know what else to do with them". It is just so creepy to know that sometimes the most seemingly normal person is just an absolute monster inside, capable of awful things. A normal person would never ever knowingly hurt their own offspring like that. Both mother and the daughter are sick and twisted.
I don’t understand it at all. Couldn’t she have kicked them out!! Why kill then and have the possibility of going to jail when you can exercise your legal right to kick them out.
I love the addition of the memorial for the victim. I wish people could recognize these cases by the victims, instead of the murderer. Those people should get nothing but punishment for what they've done, much less notoriety.
@Sammy Ariel.....agreed. They both are psychopaths....they only think about themselves. No emotions.. no remorse for anyone.Even the way they talk is the same when interrogated.
The lack of affect, the lack of empathy, classic sociopath. Her and her daughter. Makes me wonder about the theory of inherited sociopathy and psychopathy..... is it inherited?
"I kept feeling things in there" Yeah that's called guilt. It was telling you what you did was wrong but then she did it again twice. Like what the hell.
My mom used to say stupid shit like “if you haven’t done anything wrong, you have nothing to fear.” As though fear stemmed from guilt. It doesn’t work that way.
“Houses are nasty after somebody dies.” That’s why they took the daughter to the hospital before she died. When the daughter said that it just gave me chills down my spine. Just really wicked!
She probably couldn't sleep peacefully after killing and planning and killing and planning, oh she has emotions (sees her mother's and bottle of antifreeze everytime she closes her eyes (and opens her mouth, lol)
I literally just heard about this case last week. It hit me really hard I cried for a couple days about it, I have an autistic brother who looks a lot like the brother that was murdered and I just felt so much pain for him and what he was going through, and of course the dad and sister my God! This is one of the sickest most evil things I've ever heard. Killing someone with antifreeze is one of the most painful deaths, the sister will never be normal again. To suffer they way they did I wish they would give the mother and daughter the same treatment as punishment
I have a son on the spectrum as well. And let me tell you, in my personal experience, he is the most loving , forgiving, trusting, respectful, and understanding of all 4 of my boys. And smart-shoot-that kid has some crazy smarts. A “waste of space” is the exact opposite of what he is. He is a unique flower born in a world filled with weeds, who will go on to do huge things. This woman- this “mother”- disgusts me. She should spend the rest of her days drinking just a 1/4 of a teaspoon of antifreeze a week ; not enough to kill her, just enough to make her experience all the pain and discomfort that accompanies a death of that nature. Then when she starts to get better, give her another 1/4 teaspoon. Every week for life.
@@FarmerFpv I would argue that a total lack of empathy for other humans (whether you know them or not) is a symptom of sociopathy. Just pointing out facts.

I can’t imagine being Sarah or the youngest girl and having to deal with all of this. Poor Sarah is permanently brain damaged, and how does the youngest go on and live a normal life?
no guys you just tell the student loan "creditors" ta go fk themslvz. and don't pay them. they're the same ones that are going to terminate you just to move the next sucker into your spot after you've payed them or trying hard to pay it down. so no that wouldn't be a problem.
It must honestly be so heartbreaking as a pastor to come to that conclusion, that a member of your own congregation is murdering their own family members - enough to call it into the police. All the while probably calling for prayers and donations from the congregation.
Well he did start the ball rolling and they eventually got caught, so round of applause to the pastor. Now for a slightly different view lets go to Thomas de Torquemada.
The pastor actually sent in two tips, one after Shaun's death, and one after Sarah's poisoning. Unfortunately, there wasn't enough evidence to investigate prior to Sarah's poisoning.
Right? And her saying she was “just giving a little” like she was being so thoughtful of their suffering not being so great when it would’ve been absolutely terrible regardless!
Got me thinking can they make the antifreeze taste bad so there's less chance of poisoning? I know it's done with other substances and some dangerous medicines and drugs, they are made to taste very bitter and unpleasant, would prevent people from this kind of situation and and accidents like children getting hold of the stuff and drinking it.
My friend is a dentist. Her husband is also a dentist but his business closed during covid. They have 3 sons all university graduates but none of them works. My friend has been supporting these 4 men for two years now. She works crazy hours but never thought of anti freez solutions. She loves her family. She is exhausted but this is what family members do. They support each other.
Wtf!!! Your friend needs to tell her selfish sons to help !! Her sons are heartless!!! Watching your mom work her ass off and just doing nothing about it
There are plenty of jobs around. It sounds like she should move, and leave them to fend for themselves for awhile. You'd be surprised how functional my sons are, now that I've moved cross country. I miss them dearly, but they're now men. It's the best thing I could've done, leave the nest.
Mike is funnier though Adrien is the most likable human in the history of the world :) I wouldn't mind meeting Mike..I'd expect him to be what he is..biting at times, sarcastic, funny...but no saint. I wouldn't want to meet Adrien because there's no way someone can live up to being that nice and likable and I'd be let down! :) I just want to pretend that there is a human in the world that good natured. Maybe he is. But why take a chance? :)
I know Sarah said she forgave them out of the goodness of her heart, and for her to move on, but I could never. What a strong woman. I just hope Sarah is doing okay, and has some sort of independence now.
The second house was 1 street behind my parents before my step dad passed. He was popular in the neighborhood and the mom knew Larry had money and failed to know my mom and Larry had been in each other's lives since the 1970s but she was way to nice while talking to a married man.
Same. But I know people who've found a way to "forgive" *only* as a means to move on, and avoid being eaten alive by anger & resentment, not bc of a real desire to absolve someone of something ghastly. Either way, that girl deserves whatever peace & happiness she can get.
Some people need this in order to heal. I have not and will never forgive my parents, although they didn't go as far as to murder me. Could be the only way to move on for someone in this situation. But definitely not the ONLY way, and not a requirement.
After watching every episode up until now, all I can do is feel sad that everything these people had to go thru, is able to be summarized in 25-45 minutes
The fact that her nearly grown son was just trying to talk with her and hang out with her and she found it irritating and killed him just makes me wanna cry. 😢
It's awful
It's fucking heart breaking.
So unbelievably sad and evil!
And he had autism. I have 3 grown autistic children, and I can’t imagine harming a hair on their heads. I ❤️ spending time with them. The fact that his mother would want to be rid of him (or ANY of her children) is heartbreaking.
Especially since he was autistic. Probably one of the only person he had to talk to
"i regret doing it, I really do." No, she absolutely does not.
She regrets starting a family, maybe.
Sounds like she was sick of them all bleeding her dry and being the only one working.
when they interrogated the daughter who helped they asked if the youngest child was going to be next and she said "i don't think so, she actually has potential." i couldn't believe what i was hearing 💔
Diane: _”I didn’t want to hurt them.”_
Also Diane: _Poisons three members of her family with antifreeze, a most agonizing death._
I did the biggest eyeroll when she said that.
...right, she also said, "“I didn’t want another one to die in the house”....
@@xell1969 that was Rachel, the daughter. Diane was straight up cold-blooded. I think Rachel could have come out differently if it wasn't for Diane. Kudos to Sarah for forgiving them, I don't think I would be able to forgive someone for killing 2 of my family members and trying to kill me
Her reply was shocking. Almost like she was another person answering the second question
"When Sarah got bad, why did you guys take her to the hospital?"
"I didn't want another one to die in the house..."

She's completely wacko, not in the legal sense, but wacko anyway.

Hopefully Shaun's trapped spirit attached itself to her and followed her into her jail cell...
“I didn’t want another one to die in the house”. How considerate of you Rachel.
Her voice was so chilling when she said that. If pure evil has a voice, then that's it.

When she was saying it gave her bad feelings and dreams etc i thought good, i hope they terrified her and i can imagine her mind must've have been scared the spirits were haunting her, i hope they continue to do so in their jail cells for the rest of their lives, i hope they visit every night👻
not considerate lol...it was creeping HER out..once again, all about her smh
And at around @20:12, the way she was explaining "why" she killed sean, her autistic son. So freakin heartbreaking. And the cop said, "...so he was just a constant bother, huh?" And diane paused, and then said, "more than a bother..."
Like...DUDE...what a horrendous person.
She was explaining how he would hover over her while she was trying to work and stuff...and it makes my heart break picturing him, full of innocence, watching his mama work, not knowing what was coming to him. 😔😣 there are truly evil people in this world.
If she found her family annoying, I'd love to hear how she's getting along with her fellow inmates
Well, they really don't like other inmates who kill their kids so she's right where she belongs.

The matter of factness in which the mom and daughter speak of the murders is absolutely sickening. No remorse, no guilt. Bone chilling
"I was afraid he'd kill himself, so I did it for him", such a wonderful wife and mother.
The self-pity is strong with that one.
She's a treasure!
Righttttt
He threw things at the kids so I killed him and then killed the kids
As someone who is autistic, my heart broke when that poor boy’s mom murdered him because he was grieving in a way she didn’t like. Of course he was clingy! He just lost his dad and all he wanted to do was spend time with her. This hits me hard.
Same here. Some people should not have children.
His death was planned before the father was even killed. So it wasnt his grieving.
my mom was so overbearing as a teen but I appreciate her so much for it now, the fact that a mom finds her children annoying and kills them wtf 😭
@@jessup3599 Regardless, he just wanted to spend time with her. I can see why she'd be annoyed, but killing him? That's horrible.
We need a superhero to save our autistic brethren from people and family members like these. Captain Autismo perhaps?
Rachel saying "Sarah was equally unneeded..." Was extremely chilling and horrifying
I am not a pessimist more hopeful type, but each day the madness in the western societies has really got me cynical.
i think she was saying that [killing] sarah was equally unneeded [as killing shaun was].. seems like she really only wanted to kill her dad.
@Muhammad Ali Taking a pass on marriage and kids is financially prudent. But giving up on sex sounds like something someone says when they can't get any to begin with.
And those two decided who was unneeded, omg monsters in meek bodies and demeanor.
The first warning sign was that she picked favorites. It's so damaging even psychologically. Poor Sarah having to be alive to know that her mother and sister betrayed her. And removed her siblings as well. Her forgiveness is unfathomable.
And Sarah forgives them! Nah, screw that noise.
No such thing as haunting buddy. More like her trauma of tragedy.
@@MuhammadAli-xw4yc Puts me in mind of Poe's Telltale Heart
I mean, do you not see how malnourished & off she was? The whole story of what went on in that home is not being said. All the children looked chronically malnourished & sickly. I mean, someone dying in someone’s house could give one nightmares…
@@kennethguthrie180 bit time for the angry spirit to leave ? Sounded wierd

His dad had just died, of course he “wouldn’t leave you alone.” He was sad and you’re his mother. I don’t understand how one could kill a kid like that. We are supposed to want to protect them. Some people.
For sociopaths normal affectionate feelings are alien. She probably saw her son's sadness and sympathy as annoyance. Utterly horrific.

I watched two of her interviews and in one of them she did in fact say "I probably would have killed myself" because "it was probably gonna be me next"
Edit: I will also add she sounded very insincere
Why believe in a god that allows this to you? Isn't a pastor closer to God or something? Just feels like that god is giving everyone a middle finger.
I love it murderers get caught..I think they should have been executed.
"I didn't know what else to do with them". It is just so creepy to know that sometimes the most seemingly normal person is just an absolute monster inside, capable of awful things. A normal person would never ever knowingly hurt their own offspring like that. Both mother and the daughter are sick and twisted.
I don’t think there is normal anymore!
She's lying. Surely she knew what else to do with them. Do nothing with them. Not murder them.
I don’t understand it at all. Couldn’t she have kicked them out!! Why kill then and have the possibility of going to jail when you can exercise your legal right to kick them out.
U thought she seemed “normal” ?
@@LaymanGamin Yes, outside she seems very normal.
The detective was super professional. Got the confession without saying much.
Scary to me that people like this exist out there man, and the amount of videos you have about this stuff is so insane
Everyone’s said it all in the comments so far! ♥️ya Mike & thanks so much for all your hard work! Much ♥️& best wishes all!
Thank you so much!
Thank you Carriee.
@@ThatChapter Mike you're such a stud
@@bobbyshmurda5225 I'll say he's a stud. 😁
Thank YOU!
I love the addition of the memorial for the victim. I wish people could recognize these cases by the victims, instead of the murderer. Those people should get nothing but punishment for what they've done, much less notoriety.
I wonder how stupid the mom felt when her “perfect daughter” took a deal and testified against her. Haha.
Perhaps the mother was willing to do the same? They do seem very alike.
YES! That had to be a bitter pill for the whackjob.
@Sammy Ariel.....agreed. They both are psychopaths....they only think about themselves. No emotions.. no remorse for anyone.Even the way they talk is the same when interrogated.
The mother confessed so why would she take a deal
@@ralex3697the mother recanted some of it.
The lack of affect, the lack of empathy, classic sociopath. Her and her daughter. Makes me wonder about the theory of inherited sociopathy and psychopathy..... is it inherited?
Malignant narcissism, or sociopath
Psychos are born. Socio is made by environmental factors. Least that's how it works in general.
"I kept feeling things in there"
Yeah that's called guilt. It was telling you what you did was wrong but then she did it again twice. Like what the hell.
I thinks its a little more than guilt. ill just leave it there
My mom used to say stupid shit like “if you haven’t done anything wrong, you have nothing to fear.” As though fear stemmed from guilt. It doesn’t work that way.
@@TheHolyVindicate if she was just a murderer I would agree with you. its clear she's much more
@@TheHolyVindicate
psychopaths don't feel guilt
@@TheHolyVindicate then please be careful out there on the comment boards, best of luck
“Houses are nasty after somebody dies.” That’s why they took the daughter to the hospital before she died. When the daughter said that it just gave me chills down my spine. Just really wicked!
I'm like almost positive she was undiagnosed autistic
Actually like 90% of them except mark
The daughter is creepier than the mom, to me.
I'd rather call it stupid, not wicked.
Oh my God yeah I absolutely understand you about the death of the son. My brother's autistic and these things hit me in the exact same way.
Hypersensitivity toward others you don't know is considered a mental illness. Just pointing out facts.
They have empathy and I think that's lovely 💛
Mike there is a lot of lonely people in our world and you have made so many people look forward to Tuesdays and Friday’s. Wish you even more success and let’s shoot for 2 million subscribers..
I can’t imagine being Sarah or the youngest girl and having to deal with all of this. Poor Sarah is permanently brain damaged, and how does the youngest go on and live a normal life?
...and neck deep in student debt...just sayin'
Yes, she might even have to pay off her own student debt herself, now.
no guys you just tell the student loan "creditors" ta go fk themslvz. and don't pay them. they're the same ones that are going to terminate you just to move the next sucker into your spot after you've payed them or trying hard to pay it down. so no that wouldn't be a problem.
It must honestly be so heartbreaking as a pastor to come to that conclusion, that a member of your own congregation is murdering their own family members - enough to call it into the police. All the while probably calling for prayers and donations from the congregation.
@ thewandererchan.
So, ya don't like Christian folk, eh?
@@tonyr.3435 Is she what you consider Christian?
@Tony Lying to people on a daily basis is work?
Well he did start the ball rolling and they eventually got caught, so round of applause to the pastor. Now for a slightly different view lets go to Thomas de Torquemada.
The pastor actually sent in two tips, one after Shaun's death, and one after Sarah's poisoning. Unfortunately, there wasn't enough evidence to investigate prior to Sarah's poisoning.
Hearing about what antifreeze poisoning does, it’s an absolutely horrific way to die. A lot of pain and suffering
Not to mention it’s odorless, sweet tasting & doesn’t take much to kill someone. It’s horrifying to think about.
I have dealt with cases, they were suicide attempts, driven by desperation. Distressing to say the least.
Right? And her saying she was “just giving a little” like she was being so thoughtful of their suffering not being so great when it would’ve been absolutely terrible regardless!
The worst part is that any cowardly crazy bitch can do it without any confrontation.
She should take her paycheck and leave them to fend for themselves for a change.
@@chimom7112 it's about dam time 😊
That Chapter and Coffeehouse Crime, undoubtedly are two of my favourite true crimes UA-cam channels. Kudos to Adrian and Mike! They're the best.
Oooo I didn't know about coffee house crime. Mr ballen is another good one too if you haven't checked him out :)
Mike's way better than coffee house but I like Adrian to
two more i would recommend, this is MONSTERS as well as JCS criminal psychology. definitely different than that chapter but i enjoy them both as well
Mr Ballen does the absolute best at his true crime content too! Love this channel and that one!
Mike is funnier though Adrien is the most likable human in the history of the world :)
I wouldn't mind meeting Mike..I'd expect him to be what he is..biting at times, sarcastic, funny...but no saint.
I wouldn't want to meet Adrien because there's no way someone can live up to being that nice and likable and I'd be let down! :)
I just want to pretend that there is a human in the world that good natured.
Maybe he is. But why take a chance? :)
The daughter's interview. Wow. Sounds, speaks, sits, moves, exactly like Mom.
A perfect little clone that mummy wanted.
incest most likely... i think they developed an unhealthy relationship
The daughter freaks me out, shes like something from a horrow movie
Thought the same....
She must be on a suicide watch during the interview- that looks a lot like the turtle suits they use
@@Rugelacharugula I've never understood that and how can you forgive someone who isn't sorry?
@@LadyGodiva7460 because if you don’t, YOU’LL stay angry and resentful forever. And it will eat you alive.
