Lyft driver almost became a suspect just minding his own business. Reminds me of that Patrice O’Neal joke where he says he never litters not because he cares about the environment but if he throws his empty can in a bush and it lands next to a hidden body with his fingerprints on then next thing you know he’s the Pepsi Cola rapist.

The sigh wasn't that they found something in the pit and the detective was feigning sadness. He sighed because he just learned another person, referred too in the video as "she" picked up evidence and moved it around. I can’t finish the joke, you see I was in that state with a runoff, the ads had me wanting to put a gun in my mouth by the end. Hard liquor was the only way not to hear the endorsements in your sleep. Now the runoff is over, but sometimes as I lay awake in the evening, I still can hear the empty promises, the shameless mud flinging. I can even smell the bullshit, like I’m still there. My friends from other states try to be supportive, but they don’t know what it was like here. To still be able to see the face of that “definitely not an actor-real life voter”. I can still see that stupid handlebar mustache when I close my eyes. Or the subtitles because his twang was so deep fried county, you knew his parents were first cousins. Sometimes he's up front with what happened, so when the police/public are trying to figure things out we know the sad truth.
Sometimes he reveals only what the public would have known and we piece it together how it was discovered.
You never know what kind of mystery the case is going to be, and this constantly changing approach keeps things so fresh.

This is my home town. AJ actually sold a lot of the furniture including a mattress from the AirBNB leading up to him being a suspect. He sold them on various websites and the police had to track it all down for more evidence.

Due to health problems stuck at home. But luckily find this.

And Baily Sarian is great, there's a lot of viewer overlap between That Chapter & her Monday Murder Mysteries. 😊

Thanks for covering this one, I remember it happening and never saw the outcome of the trial. Glad this guy is off the street. Forever. One of the creepier parts of this to me was that he got rid of a mattress on Craig's List, by giving it away free. The police appealed publicly to whomever picked up the mattress and they returned it to them. Just another reason why getting something "free" isn't always what it's cracked up to be. I think this guy was a disaster in the making.
