Whats difference between Cobra pose and upward dog pose except from feet apart?
When you said upper round should be perpendicular, what do you mean by the “upper round” part? Thanks!
Thanks for the useful video. May I ask is the ankle is closed or both ankle is slightly close to engaged the thigh ?
JIA HUI tan ji.
Sorry for delayed reply.
There are 2 postions of the feet in this asana.
1 - you can keep the feet flat, like shown in the video. When you press it firm on the ground, the muscles of the legs will get engaged and the posture becomes little easy and stable.
2 - if you find the feet position shown in the video difficult, then you can try the second variation of the feet. You can tuck the toes in towards you so that the feet instead of flat becomes vertical (Dorsi Flexion). The benefit of this is, it will engage the legs more and also can bring less strain on the spine.
Just try both the variations and see, what you are comfortable with.
We are coming up with more videos. Thank you for watching.
Take care and God Bless...
Sir do you know telugu
Is it suitable for L5 disc bulge?
Namaste Nisha ji.
This asana is a deep backward bend. So it can bring little strain on L5 area and near it...
Sphinx and Bhujangasana can be good. Also if you can hold the Sphinx and Bhujangasana with Posterior Tilt, as it will engage Gluteus and Core muscle and reduce the strain from lower back.
Do practice and let me know it it feels...
