The way he deals with everyone he meets with is refreshing. not pretentious, willing to learn their story and communicate with them even if they can't speak... something that we don't see every day
Yo that deaf guy was one of the most expressive people that has been on this show, and he did it without his voice.

The lady who owns Mozzeria looked so genuinely happy when Frank complimented her on her work hiring the deaf. That was a wonderful moment. So human. Very touching. I will definitely go there when I return home to the Bay Area.
That "Brooklyn accent" was like a slap in Frank's face but he's too nice to say anything haha
That all-deaf staffed pizzeria was inspiring!
Everything about the Cheeseboard pizza is super, except for their pizza, which is solidly mediocre. As Patty said in the beginning, it starts with the crust. You can go all gung-ho about the fresh and locally sourced ingredients, but if the basic structure is missing, it is not going to be a good pizza.
The all-deaf pizzeria was amazing. Frank is so nice to everyone! I love how Frank ended up totally buzzed at the winery haha Wine will getcha!
Just because you can toss a bunch of Indian food in a circle and cut it into triangles doesn't make it a pizza. By definition - Pizza: A dish of Italian origin consisting of a flat, round base of dough baked with a topping of tomato sauce and cheese, typically with added meat or vegetables. Just like you cant toss a bunch of Indian food in a flour tortilla and call it and Indian burrito. Burrito: A Mexican dish consisting of a tortilla rolled around a filling, typically of beans or ground or shredded beef.

The all Deaf pizzeria was not only fantastic just as it is, but the fact they even HIRED Deaf craftsmen in the construction of the place just goes a step above and beyond. That's what I call impressive. Brought a tear to my eye.
I absolutely adore how earnest the host was when the dude was like “haha it’s a little embarrassing I’ve been here for 38 years” and the host was genuinely, no bullshit stunned like “why is that embarrassing! That’s amazing!” That’s a dude who genuinely respects the craft and takes pride in his work, seeing the artistry that goes through generations as a must have quality for restaurants.
Frank is so damn polite and interested AND interesting all at the same time.... Just a great human.

Frank Pinello is a terrific, open minded host. I feel like he's equally comfortable with ultra traditional pizza as he is with unusual regional takes. Dude is never out of his element and doesn't shrug off anything out of hand. I'm a northeast thin crust guy, but that Indian style pizza looks fantastic. I've also seen a few midwestern deep dish pies that I'd love to dig into. The one rule I have for pizza is keep it savory. Pineapple, honey, etc just destroys a good tomato sauce. I think the simple sugars break it down.
I like that Frank is so patient with the Pizzeria owners who are schooling him on how to make a Pizza. He never says
Just watching random munchies shows hoping to rid myself of this anxiety and I must say, Frank brought a smile to my face when nothing else could. What a genuine soul.
