Can we please bring Frank back for a new season? This guy is the kindest, sweetest dude, not to mention an awesome, deferential host. He never makes it about himself, he makes it about the restaurants and the people he interviews. This guy is a legend. I'm literally watching these videos YEARS later. More pizza show please.
I have been watching the pizza show since 2 years myself, to the point where my pizza consumption radically increased after I saw Frank hosting the show. To this day I watch the pizza show every time I order pizza at home
Love how his voice got all "good boy" when he was at Spago. He was saying "Even the coffee is good son!" but in such a respectful way. Took his hat off and everything.... Frank may be an every man's man. No frills, what you see is what you get, and still his manners are impeccable.
Californians have accents from different parts of Cali and different races. I use to live in Vegas and I could totally tell Californians by the way they talk , dress , slang, and kicked it 😎 we just never here ourselves lol
I love how overly respectful Frank is to Wolfgang and I love how Wolfgang never seems to take himself too seriously. I hope Frank can get another show post-pandemic if he wants one. He’s great at this.
I love Frank. Even though he's a New Yorker and an Italian, he embraces pizza from everywhere. It seems like he not only enjoys it but has an understanding of pizza culture as all-encompassing! Kudos!
@@MellowFelloh Still seems like he isn't embracing the pizza for the money. He is obviously a wholesome and humble guy. People like you are the ones who make it seem as money is the reason someone agrees with something. I could assure you his contract doesn't say anything about the shit you're talking about.
You're assuming he eats like this every day I think. Pretty easy to manage high-calorie days like the ones on this show if you log and track your diet on the other days.
Frank Pinello is a legend to me. He's such a great host and even more amazing for giving us all this AMAZING pizza knowledge. So amazing this episode dropped today, because I've been watching the Pizza Show episodes all day by chance. It's like the pizza planets have aligned for me.
Frank is so grateful, respectful, and enthusiastic, and he does it all by just naturally being himself. I love every show I've ever seen him host. Rock on Mr. Pinello. Cheers.
Italians still eat the peasant versions of their food. Pizza is still almost universally just a tomato base with a couple slices of fresh mozzarella and some basil leaves. It's nice, but it's insanely simple and gets old quick. I prefer the experimentation of the Americans when it come to Italian food. They took something good and made it better.
Arthur Have you even been to italy? While they do not make New York or Chicago style pizza for obvious reasons, you can get some simple and yet really good pizzas in most of Italy if you stay clear of the tourist traps
gotta say frank Is not only one hell of a host but also seems like one one hell of a person. his positivity is really inspiring and he honeslty just looks seems like a down to earth person. respect.
I really like how the episode captured the newer California pizza, like CPK and Puck's, and the old California pizza style, like Casa Bianca. Excellent job Frank!
Thanks for making us California folks good. Pizza culture can be found in cali but... the "taco shop" is king in California. You can find a taco shop in every corner like you find a pizza place on every corner on the east coast

Well said, the best part of food and restaurant business is innovation, and u must innovate to stay relevant. Like look at the food scene today Giant over the top milkshakes, giant unconventional sandwiches, this is how restaurants build a brand, and build a client base. None of which would be possible without innovation. No one really looks for restaurants who make simple by the book dishes. The fad currently is over the top mom conventional dishes and that's the way it's been for years
I love this show! Speaking from and Italian and from Italy, among other things I love how convivial the pizza servings are in the US. We are used to a whole (medium size) pizza for the individual, instead it seems you guys serve a bigger pizza which is sliced and shared....I really like that
Man watching frank, make me wanna share this to people and be like this is how you should be, well mannered and being respectful. I feel like these days, people have little to zero manners. Even as simple as saying thank you is hard to get from people. Especially when you open doors for people.
Idk about this, it’s very “LA” I know nothing but I’ve been obsessed with the dough lately. I love the simplicity of tomato, basil, mozzarella/bread crumbs

I owe LA for launching my pizza career. From the east coast and lived there 11 years, got so sick of what they call pizza (along with hipsters like the dude at the start) that I started making my own for myself and regular folks.

How can you hate Frank? He's a genuine lovable guy who has a passion for what he does.
