    Another reason to avoid supplements with the citrate form is because it's an allergen due to it being produced via bioengineered black mold as citric-acid and the citrate is taken from this. And if you're allergic to mold then this is a drawback.

    vitamin d actually upregulates ceruloplasmin too... the key is keeping both vitamin d and vitamin a levels up.

    • @wellnesspathforme6236
      @wellnesspathforme6236 8 місяців тому

      Please cite a source. Vitamin D upregulates calcium absorption at the expense of magnesium.
      Ceruloplasmin-bound copper has its copper loaded by ATP7B, which requires retinoic acid and magnesium, or else Cp-Cu will not be fully functional.
      Also, natural forms of food D and A should be ingested... let nature be your guide whenever possible.

    This is such helpful information to know about vitamin A. I am now wondering if I am deficient in vitamin A and that is causing the low ceuroplasmin. I tried supplementing with copper and it makes me feel so sick and didn’t move my copper or ceuroplasmin levels much at all. there no such thing as copper toxicity. Getting a test back that shows high copper, whether it is a hair mineral test, a blood test, a piss test, a poop test... All of them are not how you measure copper status. There is no method to properly test for it. The body mobilizes copper when you need the copper in a certain area of the body - and the 'tests' would show it is high.

    Hi Felix, great videos. I'm currently undergoing my 3rd round of copper dumping so I know first hand how toxic it can be, especially to the brain. Question: I've heard it said a number of times that the adrenal glands signal the liver to produce ceruloplasmin, but I haven't ever found the source or confirmation of that statement or what is the physiology of the signal (i.e. what is the protein, enzyme, etc). Do you know what that is? thanks. btw, I'm been using htma's for 10 years on Eck's protocol - amazing work.

    • @felix-harder
      @felix-harder  Рік тому +4

      Yeah, I have been trying to confirm that as well. The original statement seems to come from Dr Eck but I couldn't find a source either. So I wouldn't call it a "science based" statement but it definitely seems to be in line with the experience of many practitioners. When adrenal function improves so do ceruloplasmin levels and copper bioavailability.

      Ceruloplasmin is an acute phase protein so it rises anytime the immune system gets activated. If you were sick when the blood sample was taken this would be the explanation. If not, it simply might be your body compensating for your high copper. In that case, that's a good sign because most people don't make enough ceruloplasmin, so more copper lands in the tissue.

    In your how to take copper video you said that vitamin c helps with ceruloplasmin production which is the copper transport protein. Essentially this is a way to increase bioavailable Copper. However when I go on google and look up the relationship between vitamin C and Copper, it says that Vitamin C depletes Copper and can even cause a deficiency in high doses. This to me is just confusing. Are the researchers getting confused and measuring lower levels of the harmful biounavailable Copper as a sign of a deficiency do you think?
    Also in a study on guinea pigs it said: "Under conditions of vitamin C deficiency, serum copper and ceruloplasmin were elevated along with liver copper"
