Loved your video! This is my first visit here. I'm just getting back to cross stitching after a very long hiatus. At 71 years old I never thought I would be starting over but cross stitching is a lot more fun now!! Right now I'm working on the Little House Needleworks collection Hometown Holiday making it a whole long street of buildings. It is so much fun. I also finished Fall on the Farm by LHN as one collection and framed it. I like your idea of doing a half stitch as an outline and going back to fill in. I love learning from these flosstubes as I'm self taught. Looking forward to going back and binge watching your previous videos.

Hi Beth - and welcome! I'm glad you found me. There are so many of us who have come back to stitching after years of not doing it, just like you. You're right - things are so fun in the cross stitching world nowadays! Thanks for watching and commenting!

Excellent video Sheri!! 🤩 Framed pieces … truly inspiring. After my Mom passed in October of 2018 & my Stepdad in 2019 I found my collection of charts growing dramatically till I realized that’s how I was handling my grief. I now have my own on-line in house shop 😉 Thanks for always sharing from the heart ♥️ see ya next time happy stitching 🤗🪡

So happy to see you on You Tube showing us your cross-stitch projects. I also love your framed beveled glass picture on the wall above your credenza in the background. I love to do cross stitch patterns, but I used to do stained glass and beveled glass projects. I love to create and make things. I give most of my cross-stitch projects to people for gifts. I love the little CREATE cross stitch pillow you showed. I'm going to have to find that pattern and stitch it. Your you tube channel is such a joy to watch, Love your kitty too. Sorry he got his tail caught in your office chair. Hope he wasn't too traumatized. I had a little dog that got his id tag caught in a floor vent. Poor little guy was terrified until I could get his collar off and free him. I am so glad I was home. So now I don't leave a collar on my pets when I'm away from home. I loved to see you cuddle your kitty. Lucky cat to have you for him to love.

    • @ColoradoCrossStitcher
      @ColoradoCrossStitcher  2 роки тому

Oh my gosh - same thing happened to our dog years ago! She loved to lay on the vents when the air conditioning was running. One day we heard her yelping and howling, and she had pulled the whole vent up in her panic (and then panicked that something was hanging from her collar.) She was wary of vents after that. 😅

Oliver laying in your arms reminds me of my cat, Binx. He’s super lovey and mellow also. Poor Oliver must have been terrified! I’m glad that you’re feeling better! Seeing all of your finishes was just so much fun! And it made me pull my “This is the day” back out to work on! I’m making it a goal to get that finished this year. Collections is kind of a hard one, I’m not sure that I fall into a particular category. I like to do a lot of seasonal stitching. I will say I have a good collection of Stitching the housewives patterns and I’m starting to collect more Teresa Kogut’s patterns.
I love love love your word of the year pillows I think I’m going to join you in that. I usually pray about mine and go with what the Lord is leading me towards what He’s trying to remind me so this year my word is hope. The world is so crazy these days that I feel the remainder of keeping my hope in Him. Hope you have a blessed week!

Hello, so glad your feeling better. It is amazing how our bodies can heal. You have accomplished a lot and every piece is so tastefully finished. Well Done! In 2022, I stitched a collection of small to medium ornaments and I had my first cross stitch tree. It was fun and will continue in 2023. I just choose a pattern that brings me joy and that I can finish within a month.

Finally....I was going through withdrawals waiting on your first video of 2023. In fact, I spent a good bit of time in the last two weeks binge watching all your previous videos. Loved them and helped me with my much needed Sheri fix. Having just returned in 2022 to the world of cross-stitching after a long lapse (80s/90s avid stitcher), I am amazed and inspired in seeing the way stitching has revolved. The samplers are beautiful and a part of my 2023 goals. However, Blackbird Designs seems to have become a growing collection for me. I am excited to see what this year holds in my stitching world...Book of Days, of course adds to the fun. Thank you so very much for your ideas, inspiration and the sharing of your amazing talent. God bless....

Thank you for that tip on working big fill-in areas! I actually had thread in hand, about to start filling in a large area on a project, and this is a great idea to outline with just one leg. I'm so excited for Winter Camp and I just kitted up the perfect project for it! Oh my gosh, I gasp every time you show your Quaker Dwelling and the frame is perfect for it. That's a masterpiece! I have a pretty varied taste in patterns, but I seem to love every single pattern from Plum Street Samplers. Lots of folks say "collect all the Blackbirds" (also great patterns) but I think I'm going to start a collection of all the Plum Streets.
I'm sorry you had a rough start to the year, and so glad you're feeling better!

This year I’m working on patterns with angels which will be a collection. I found I had a lot of patterns with angels in my stash and decided to focus on getting these done as I love angels and would like to add some stitched ones to my other angels. Love your finish of Quaker Christmas 2. That pattern went on my list of patterns that I want. Thanks for sharing!

I ❤ the Winter Camp idea! By adding to a collection it makes the options wide open yet specific to the stitcher. Awesome thought!

Love your video! My son's cat bite me. I ended up with cellulite in my hand. Antibiotics etc. She was scared and I know better to try and grab a cat that is howling. Glad all is well. I have all my pieces on my walls. I have a spare room that most of my seasonal pieces are. I also have a bee and red sampler wall. I always finish everything I stitch. I have 350 framed pieces on my walks. And I really couldn't tell you the smalls. I love what I call ABC samplers. Not reproduction ones but ones with abc's on them. But stitching counted cross stitch since 1975. I worked for Ben Franklin for many years and my pieces were framed by them. I love seeing them every day. I love every thing you showed. Great job!

I'm going to put that 1/2 stitch outline into practice! Thanks for the tip, Sheri! Congratulations on all of your FFOs...they're wonderful! I fell off the band wagon with the fall sampler stitch-a-long but hope to join in for Feb camp. :) I wanted to comment on your earlier video about your brother buying your family home but at the time I just didn't know how to respond. I was so moved by the story! So incredibly touching and how it was revealed to your mom, wow! It was amazing!!!

So glad to see you back! It’s been a rough cold and flu season for so many! Your framing is absolutely beautiful!! I attempt my own framing with old frames and enjoy that process. I was previously inspired by you to always have a red sampler going. So that is what I am now starting to collect. I am almost done with my second one, this a collection has started. I do also have a snow globe collection. I’m excited to start the winter camp! Thanks Sheri for all the inspiration!

Beautiful pieces. I love seeing all the framed work. My favorite was the house quaker on the gold fabric. I pulled This Is The Day back out while watching. Yours is so pretty and I just need to lay those bricks.

I'm so glad I stumbled across your flosstube video (which led me to several other wonderful ones). And I'm so happy that Fort Collins has a cross stitch store! I've only lived here for eight years and love the Loopy Ewe but don't do much knitting so didn't frequent it, although I took a few classes. Somehow in the kerfuffle of the past few years I missed the news of your store. I plan to visit it soon and also join the Winter Camp. I think the most prevalent designer in my pattern collection currently is Claudia from Dutch Treat. I fell in love with her table toppers when I lived in California. But I'll have to find something smaller for my camp project...probably a non-Christmas holiday project.

Your Quaker Dwelling framed finish is stunning! I love everything about it. What a scary thing that happened to your precious kitty, yikes! So sorry to hear that. For a collection, I guess I have several. I love the look of one over one, so I have collected a lot of charts that are charted with that in mind.
