My favorite thing is to watch Flosstube while there is a winter storm outside! My favorite stitched piece this year was making an ostrich ornament for my granddaughter. I am also a quilter and this past year I've made quite a few lap quilts for donation. Great feeling to complete a project and send it on to a worthy cause. Happy stitching everyone and stay safe!!
The favorite thing I stitched was the Hummingbird Sampler for camp. My dad’s nickname is “hummer” and we symbolize that with hummingbirds. And, Cecilia Turner talks about how she thinks of her mom when she sees hummingbirds…so i personalized it for my mom and dad. It’s the first time that I made a piece in memory of someone. I just love seeing it, remembering my mom and as a reminder to call my dad 😂
My favorite thing I stitched on in 2023 is I started My Sister's Samplers Isabella Keen in memory of my Mom who passed away in April. The date on the sampler momth and day is one day short of her birth month and day, so I'm changing the sampler to Mom's birthday month and day! Ashley
My favorite project from 2023 was a charity project from fat quarter shop and right this minute it's being quilted by a long armor and I got a compliment that I'd become a pro quilt piecer which made my day ❤😊
One of my favorite projects I stitched in 2023 was a lighthouse scene contained within a maple leaf. It was from a Russian company called OBEH which I bought prior to the Russian War in Ukraine. While I stitched I prayed for peace. As always thanks for your hard work & inspiration.
My FAVORITE part of this viewing was at the end of the show when you showed new patterns was when you showed the pattern "Falling Snow". I have been working all evening prepping my fabric for this project . I hope to be ready to start stitching it in a couple days. Thank you for a very enjoyable evening watching your show.
Thank you, you are very organized. An honest list with the projects that specifically make me happy are the ones I work on every day, twenty minutes or one strand of floss on a piece.❤
Happy New Year Sherri! I just got back to cross stitching in 2023, and my first stretch was Heart in Hand's Valentine Tiny Town.I was too nervous to stitch on the called for fabric never thinking I could work on a small count. Well, here I am a year later and almost ready to take the dive to 40! Never underestimate the "calling" God has for you and many other Floss Tubers.. my beautiful husband was diagnosed with dementia this year and you can imagine all that goes with that. I am a scrapbook/ junk journaler, but funny how God leads you to the river. I cant carry around all my paper supplies to doctor appointments, therapies and such- but having a stitch in my hands just sort of puts a pillow on top of the worry and nerves. I watched you during his last appointment and all of a sudden he was walking out of the office, and the time had passed- that is a gift money can not buy. So, I just want you to know I so believe in earth angels, special people handpicked by God to help others get through loss, tragedy, and brokenness. People who help the time go by, and give a respite from worry .You are one of those earth angels who keep some smiling, planning future stitches and just to keep moving. God bless you!
Your sweet comment really touched me - thank you for your thoughtful words. I'm so sorry you are on this dementia journey, but I know you must bring so much comfort to your husband as you both face this with courage and grace. Hugs to you. ❤
Thank you for doing floss-tube! I always learn so much from you. My favorite cross stitch in 2023 is a stocking I made for my first granddaughter who was born on my 60th birthday.
My favorite finish from 2023 was Teresa Kogut’s Newcastle Bouquet. There is a LOT of stitching, but it turned out beautifully, and I got it framed for my dining room before year end. So happy to look at it each day! Thank you so much for everything you share with us. I’ve learned so much about our wonderful hobby, and how to make it even more enjoyable . Carol in TX
Thank you for another entertaining flosstubes showing you beautiful projects. As I looked back on the projects I stitched during 2023, I would say that JBW designs patterns were some of my favorite. Wishing you a happy and healthy 2024.
The favorite thing I stitched on in 2023 was the Prairie Schooler’s Prairie Woods leaflet. It was a project my mother started years ago. She passed away a few years ago and I’m trying to finish as many of her WIPs as I can. This was one of them and I’m so proud of finishing them. I still need to fully finish them but the stitching is all done. Of course my favorite part of the project was picking up on the row of stitching where she left off. ❤
Always glad to see the notification for your floss tube 🤩 You bring such beautiful stitching to share and wonderful ideas for 2024 stitching !! I think one of my favorite 2023 stitches was Blackbird’s Long and Winding Road Thank you Sherri for all you bring to our stitching world 🥰
My favorite stitch of 2023 was/is The Fox by Cottage Garden Samplings. Both my husband and daughter asked me to stitch this for them. They haven't asked before for any specific design. I am happily stitching it twice. 😊
My favorite thing I stitched last year was First I Drink the Coffee. I stitched it for my neighbor and changed a few of the colors. Thanks for asking. It was fun to reflect on my work.
My Favorite thing about winter is more stitching time. Activities slow down and staying home more helps the productivity. Another great video. Your stitchy boxes have inspired me. I need to get busy collecting accessories.
I honestly don't know how you accomplish all that you do! Your work is beautiful! I really like how you have been incorporating color into single color charts. It just adds a special effect to the piece. I have a fondness for forest animals and the giveaway bag is gorgeous! One of my favorite projects I did for 2023 was a free chart by Stone Street Stitchworks called "Winter Village". I framed it and used it as part of my Christmas decor this year. Happy stitching from West Virginia! 😊
Always one of my favorite flosstube, you share your creativity so freely! Loved the words you added in the blackbird design. Thank you for the inspiration ❤
Sherry, I have to say you are my favorite flosstuber. I enjoy seeing what you make and I learn a lot from you. Thanks so much for taking your time to inspire us.
Enjoyed all of your amazing stitching, and seeing your framed finishes. My favorite project that I stitched in 2023 was "Rex" a German Shepherd, a depiction of my son's pet. Stitched in honor of my Beloved "Andre's" Birthday. Looking forward to joining your winter camp. ❤😊
My favorite project this past year was a sampler about enjoying your children while they are little 😂 I stitched for both my daughter and my son, as they both have several children under the age of six. It was tough to stitch one right after the other, the exact same pattern, but it was for a good cause, and they both loved them. They are now hanging in their homes.
My favorite stitchy related thing that happened to me in 2023 was becoming part of the Salem Area Stitching group (SAS) (Salem, Oregon). We generally meet once a week and the ladies that are part of the group are so thoughtful, caring, funny, stitchy knowledgeable and a joy to be with.
Love, love, love your videos. My favorite thing I stitched in 2023 was my reintroduction to cross stitching FQS beginner tutorial stitch. So glad I reunited with this hobby.
My favorite stitch last year was Winter's majesty by Anchor. It was really difficult and slow to stitch but it was a gift to a very special person in my life.
My favorite thing I'm stitching on is called Miss Charlotte. I love all your suggestions-scheduling in my project/stache. I truly love what your doing adding your family to projects, telling a little of there life story. I want to try making a travel case/box it's so useful & pretty. Oh! & the massager is wonderful for muscles especially upper shoulders, neck. Love the project bags beautiful. Thankyou for all your flosstubes videos they are wonderful. I'm still new at crossstitch & your videos just keeps me going, inspired. ❤😊
Lol, ornaments, that’s how I began my stitching adventures over 46 years ago!! I was a very poor brand new teacher, and it was a very cheap way to decorate my Christmas tree! Not so cheap anymore!!! I had too many favorite (s), which explains why I never get a lot finished every year!
My favorite stitch in 2023 was Cardinal Basket by Imaginating. I have already completed two of their baskets and I am working on two more of them. Thanks for the info you have given us on choosing warm and cool colors. Irt has been very helpful. Enjoy your stitching time.
My favorite stitch of 2023 was Peace on Earth by Cottage Garden Samplings. The reason it was a favorite was my sister stitched this along with me and we started it on Christmas day together. Thanks for the great video as always.
I just recently got back into cross-stitching after 15 years. Stumbled across floss tube Channel and I am obsessed with stitching. My favorite stitch so far was farmhouse Christmas the little red barn. It’s actually my only finish in 23. I just started a couple months ago lol. Thank you for your floss tube channel. I truly enjoyed watching you.
Every stitch I do is a favorite ,but my most favorite was Stacy Nash’s Butternut house in 2023. I loved this for 2 reason. I met Stacy at a retreat and also Maggie Bonomoni ,whose house the cross stitch was modeled on!
FAVORITE....Oim sorry to say I had stopped cross stitching for several years due to taking care of my mother and then my husband. They both have passed away now and I'm getting back to some of the things I enjoy doing.
My favorite project for 2023 was the Christmas Sampler II by Cottage Gardens Samplings. I stitched this for my mother since her word of the year was HOPE.
I always enjoy your floss tubes! I didn’t have a favorite finish last year; I’ve just enjoyed getting back into stitching after many years away from it because of work and family obligations. Thank you for sharing!
My favorite project stitched in 2023 was Feast of Friendship by Blackbird designs. It was so fun to work on during the Fall months. I chose to change “Feast of Friendship” at he bottom to “Abundant Blessings”. I love how it turned out!
🕰Today was windy and a perfect floss tube day and your floss tube was amazing! Thank you for all the time and effort you put into your floss tube videos. I like your way of organizing your year in the Book of Days. My favorite project I worked on in 2023 is Secret Sky by Modern Folk Embroidery. Thank you thank you!
Really interesting to see your plans for 2024. One of my favourite things to do is to dream of all the craft items I would like to make in the months ahead. 🇬🇧
Another wonderful video Sherry! I love how you weave your family stories in along with showing your projects. My Favorite Stitchy project I worked on in 2023 was Erica Michaels Quilting A-Bee-Cs. Hoping to get that finished this winter. Have a great week! Looking forward to your next flosstube when you’ll share about color. 💞
Everything I stitched in 2023 was my favorite at the time I was working on it! 😆 But one of the prettiest charts I’ve ever done is Double Dutch by Sampler Cove. Thanks as always for your great flosstubes.
I completed two Blackbird loose feathers stitches in 2023 and I started a Brenda Gervais design ( Needle and Thread). I also worked on Romeo and Juliet by Teresa Wentzler (definitely a long long term project). There were many smaller projects too. Then we went to Boston and we went to the Paul Revere House. When I saw the sampler there I had to stitch it. Most of my stitchie projects are on Aida but this one is on linen and I just love it. The Marie Revere Curtis historical sampler is definitely my favorite project from last year that I hope to finish in 2024. The project bags that you give away are so beautiful. I would be so honored to receive one!
In 2023, I stitched my all-time favorite project. I started and finished Jane Hopkins from Hands Across the Sea. I am inspired by your jewelry box conversions. I must get started on that. Happy stitching. Best, K
Great to "visit" with you today. I have chosen my Winter Cross-Stitch camp piece and am excited to participate. Loved seeing your framed pieces, all of your stitching and your pretty Winter stitching box. Take care!
Always enjoy your videos. Can't wait for Winter Cross Stitch Camp. My favorite stitch from last year was one I did for Summer Camp. It was out of the punch needle magazine and I made it a wedding sampler for my parents. They are both deceased but it means so much to me.
My favorite project last year was of Lakeside Inn in Mount Dora Florida. It is for my eldest daughter. She and my son in law were married there 25 yrs ago!💖
Yay for another Winter Camp. I've already begun searching my patterns. There were so many things that I stitched this year and it's difficult to choose a favorite however I am going with Bletchley Park by Vivsters. One of my daughter's lives in England and the great-aunt of her husband actually worked at Bletchley Park during the war. I went through a lot of different emotions whilst stitching this piece which I have gifted to my daughter and her husband.
Thank you for the time you take to make each of your videos so interesting! One of my very favorite stitches for 2023 was one from Plum Street called Yellow Polka Dot Bikeenie-but all of her Dachshund series patterns are too cute for words!
on that Alpine piece, don't change the shape! add 4 triangular motifs to make the square. You could just continue that blue border on each axis to meet at 90 degrees. Then you could do an offset fill with a triangle shape of the cloud color or something subtle? Alternatively you could keep the piece as stitched and add little wooden triangle shapes like they were buttons on each corner. Or you could stitch a triangle or something. If you know of the history of the land you occupy, you could take a motif from that tribe... so many possibilities.
My favorite stitch from 2023 was the M&A 1853 sampler by NWP. I plan to mount it on a wooden spool. I was interested in hearing about your grandmother who loved to paint. You should do some reading about Maud Lewis who is known as the Grandma Moses of Canada. Many of her paintings have been adapted to rug hooking designs. In addition to her typical paintings, she lived most of her adult life in a tiny little house. To bring beauty to her tough life, she painted most any surface she could in her tiny home. Her story is truly one of resilience. You’d find it inspiring, I’m sure.
My favorite thing was the Mill Hill sleigh series- the one with the moon. It was so much fun with the beading! Otherwise I didn’t finish a lot of things. I spent most of my free time outside in my garden!
My favorite stitch last year was out of an older Cross Stitcher magazine from the UK (issue #205). It was for my son and it was a small Elvis Presley portrait. He is a huge Elvis fan and he loved it. Your finishes are fantastic.
My absolute favorite piece stitched in 2023 was „One Nation“ (by gone stitches) on 40ct. I’ve lived 10years in the USA and returned back home to Germany (after 30Years !), my daughter stayed and became US-Citizen - this was a gift to her 💕
Sheri, you always show such wonderful things on your channel. Whether it's your own personal stitching, what's new in the shop, or an item you found that you think we'd like, you are a wonderful source of inspiration 😊. My favorite thing I stitched on in 2023 was the series of monthly Quakers by From the Heart Needleart by Wendy. It was a bit of work, but I got them all finished, and they were a joy to stitch. Be well!
My favorite stitch from 2023 was Beans, Beans from Plum Street Samplers. I've got a good one picked out for camp if I can squeeze in the stitching time. February is either feast or famine in our business - we'll see when it gets here.
My favorite stitch of 2023 is one I am still working on. I am doing the courage quaker sampler by praiseworthy stitches. Iam doing it in honor of my mother who we lost Dec 12, 2022 to breast cancer. I started this piece Dec 12, 2023, one year to the day my mom passed. I adore your floss tube. I am excited to join you for winter camp.
I just got back into cross stitch last year. My favorite project in 2023 has been a baby gift for a baby girl named Quinn. I took the Little House Needleworks “Blessed” which is an angel holding a wreath and I changed the wreath to a “Q”.
My favorite finished project from 2023 was a small called French Country Sampler by the Victoria Sampler. I’m presently looking for a 5x5 frame to put it in so it can be displayed on our sofa table. It is a fast stitch and, oh, so darn cute.
Oh I love your special Christmas stitch for this past year, what a great idea. Looking forward to Winter Camp. My favorite stitch from 2023 was Home in My Garden by Liz Matthews. It was my first time using silk and I started it while I was at a retreat with her and Kathy! Thanks so much for all you do!
I was watching this earlier in the morning and my house was chilly. I have a wool poncho I pull over my shoulders and this morning I just pulled it up over my head, too, and had my computer on my lap. My husband came into the room and asked me what I was doing "under cover" and I said, "Watching Sherry.:" He said, "Watching Sherry do what?" It was a nice chuckle and a nice video to start the day! I LOVE your travel boxes!!!
You put so much time and effort into your videos and your newsletters! Great ideas! Your jewelry box makeovers are fabulous! So much eye candy!!! Thanks for all that you do!!! ✂️🧵❤
I enjoyed your video so much. I learned a lot of things listening to you. You showed a lot of great finishes and projects on the go. I loved the project bags you showed. So pretty! A lot of the patterns I would like to have. Last year, I started so many patterns, but my favorite one I enjoy working on is Polaroid Princesses. It will take a long time, but as I get each one done, I am pleased how pretty they are turning out. I can't wait to see you again. Have a great week.
My favourite stitch last year was cross stitching designs on crocheted blankets. My good friend crocheted keepsake blankets for all her friends new grandbabies and elaborately personalized them with cross stitch. When she was working on completing one for each of her grandkids for their upcoming graduations, she got cancer. She knew I used to cross stitch many years ago and asked if I would finish any that she might not be able to complete. Sadly, she passed in September 2022 and in 2023 I finished 4 of them for her. It was so therapeutic to cradle them as I worked on her designs and remembered all the good times we’d had. She renewed my passion for cross stitch and then I fell down the flosstube rabbit hole!! My friend gave me a very special gift and I feel her presence whenever I have needle in hand.
Great flosstube, Sheri! Your stitching and finishing is just so beautiful!! My favorite stitched piece was my Golden Anniversary Sampler by HistoricalSampler Company. Our 50th anniversary is in April, 2025. Happy stitching!❤
I know you have blessed many people with your lap quilts. What a wonderful thing to do!

There is just something so timeless about Prairie Schoolers!

My favorite stitch of the year was a Shepherds Bush stocking for my daughter's significant other. I made one for her 27 years ago.
My opnion on Alpine: Simplify! Make it square but keep the deer if you can. If not, customize to frame square. That's my ten cents! Ashley
My favorite stitch of 2023 was The Lord's Prayer. It was my first attempt at 40 count and I loved working on it.

Sheri I always love your flosstubes. My favorite thing I stitched on in 23 was Needleful things.
My favorite finish in 2023 was my first Prairie Schooler Santa (1996). Thanks for all the great ideas, your white cubby display is my favorite!
My favorite project of 2023 was my grandaughter's christmas stocking. I love your tips on organizing all our "things".
My favorite thing I ffo’d in 2023 was America by Blackbird. It looks so pretty on my patriotic wall.
My favorite thing I stitched in 2023 is Sally Cratis by The Wishing Thorn. I loved the quirky trees and that it’s not a traditional looking sampler.
In 2023, I stitched my all-time favorite project. I started and finished Jane Hopkins from Hands Across the Sea. I am inspired by your jewelry box conversions. I must get started on that. Happy stitching. Best, K
Thank you for your floss tubes. Always so inspiring. My favorite thing to stitch is a bird. I love them!
Thank you for such an enjoyable flosstube!
The Favorite thing I stitched this year is Mary Ann Copp, just a beautiful sampler!
Have a healthy 2024!
Thank you for the ideas - I appreciate it!
I love her paintings and will definitely look up more information on her. Thank you for recommending that!
My favorite thing I stitched was a peacock sampler I found in an older cross stitch magazine.
I love seeing and hearing about your family samplers.
Be well!
Thank you so much for your sweet comment! I appreciate you watching ❤
Loving your videos! My favorite thing about cross stitching was picking out new patterns and kitting them up, so I am ready to go. ❤
Happy Stitching!😊
My favorite thing this year of 2023 was my FFO of Winter Rose Manor🌹
I didn't have a favorite pattern this year because I enjoyed stitching all of them. Enjoy watching your floss tube.
My favorite stitch from 2023 was Beans, Beans from Plum Street Samplers. I've got a good one picked out for camp if I can squeeze in the stitching time. February is either feast or famine in our business - we'll see when it gets here.
My favorite stitch in 2023 was My Sunshine by La-D-Da to remember one of my special dogs that passed.
I'm so sorry about your mom. What a wonderful sampler to do in her honor. ❤
@@ColoradoCrossStitcher thank you so much!
Very nice flosstube as usual ❤ My favorite thing in 2023 was that I eas able to stitch and mounted a lot of Christmas ornaments.
My favorite stitched piece in 2023 was The Noel Sampler. Happy New Year and Happy Stitching!
Ha - that made me laugh and I can just picture you all bundled up!
Your Alpine piece would keep the whimsy look with the points😉
You put so much time and effort into your videos and your newsletters! Great ideas! Your jewelry box makeovers are fabulous! So much eye candy!!! Thanks for all that you do!!! ✂️🧵❤
❤❤
I enjoyed your video so much. I learned a lot of things listening to you. You showed a lot of great finishes and projects on the go. I loved the project bags you showed. So pretty! A lot of the patterns I would like to have. Last year, I started so many patterns, but my favorite one I enjoy working on is Polaroid Princesses. It will take a long time, but as I get each one done, I am pleased how pretty they are turning out. I can't wait to see you again. Have a great week.
So great to catch up with you! I loved seeing all of your beautiful framed pieces ❤ Thank you for an awesome video!
I'm so sorry to hear about your friend. What a gift you gave her, finishing those in her absence. ❤
My favorite stitching in 2023 was venturing into samplers, “This is the Day” and “Remember Me”.
Great flosstube, Sheri! Your stitching and finishing is just so beautiful!! My favorite stitched piece was my Golden Anniversary Sampler by HistoricalSampler Company. Our 50th anniversary is in April, 2025. Happy stitching!❤
