My first love is stitching having begun about 70 years ago when, at the age of 5, I would sit outside under a tree and design doll clothes with material scraps my mother gave me. Over the years I've moved from stitching garments to embroidery, to crewel, to art quilting, to counted thread work. Next is probably knitting, the rhythm of the needles and the creating of the design brings such peace and contentment. In third place, I enjoy mixed media - working with paper and fiber and images printed on fabric. All of these disciplines provide the space for me to listen to audio books - a way to keep my mind engaged as my hands create magic. I'm so happy that Spring is fighting to come alive in my area of Oregon - I love watching the trees turn GREEN again.
I remember cutting out doll clothes when I was little, too! I always managed to cut ones that could be tied with a sash, so I could avoid any kind of fasteners. 🙂
Oh Sheri, you have the most moving stories about your family. My heart breaks for your great aunt and it is so lovely that you stitched this for her and “The soldier.” I know they are smiling down from heaven at your embracement of her love for him.
I'm glad that they have been reunited in Heaven, and I hope they do know that we still remember them down here!

My first love is stitching. After that it’s reading. I have belonged to a book club with so many LONG time friends for over 40 years! Now with Zoom, we can reconnect and discuss books that we love. Green is popping for spring, and blue is just my favorite color, Great videos. Always love them.

My favorite hobby is absolutely Cross Stitching. I owned a shop back in the late 80's & into the early 90's. Later, I began to travel a lot with my husband, and cross stitching was easy to take along. Now widowed and alone, it fills my day. I love both the colors green & blue. 💙💚

My favorite hobby is crochet. I do like quilting, cross stitch and plastic canvas. In spring the grass becomes green and the sky is a pretty blue.

My favorite hobbies are cross stitch, embroidery, sewing, weaving, quilting, punch needle, and paper crafting. I also love antiquing, and bargain hunting! There’s so many things to have fun with and not enough hours in the day! Spring always reinvigorates me to start things. The blue days of winter are replaced with the green of spring.
I love making things with different fibers. I quilt, rug hook, basket weave, and cross stitch. Cross stitch has become my new favorite. I started during Covid and I’m hooked. I get up at 6am just to have an hour to stitch before I go to teach 12 year olds to read and write. It’s definitely my go to to decompress ❤️. Love the blue or green.

Thanks for another heartwarming flosstube. Your Aunt story was so sweet. I feel inspired to dedicate a finish to my kind Aunt Mae now.. your pear finishes are adorable!! Always enjoy your three things, and great ideas. It’s hard to pick a favorite hobby when I dabble in too many🤦♀️. I enjoy any needlework. I sew, and decoupage ,but I think my favorite hobby is decorating my home with all my “stuff”.

Recently discovered your channel and now it is my mission to watch EVERY one of them! I’ve been away from stitching for about 15 years and started up again during Covid shutdown. Stitched 2 samplers for each of my children and their families in the last two years.
My eyes are BLUE, but Scarlett O’Hara wore a beautiful GREEN dress! 😄

That was so nice of your friend to provide the blue and green project bags. Can never have enough of those. It started with knitting, migrated to quilting and now I am on cross stitch. Basically, I enjoy any craft where I can get together with other stitchers and create with threads!

Hands down my favorite hobby is stitching. I put needle and thread to fabric and just feel my body relax. Especially if I’ve got my snuggly blue heeler buddy laying next to me. I cross stitched in the 80’s and 90’s until I discovered quilting. My quilting has many UFO’s, so when I started cross stitching again four years ago I had to control the urge to start many things to control the chaos. I now try to keep my stitching to no more than 3 WIPS. Blue is my favorite color.
My favorite hobby is that I don’t have to pick just one. I’m a knitter, crocheter , cross stitcher, embroiderer. I’m also pretty good with a glue gun. 😂 Have a bright and GREEN Spring Sherri! 💕

I’m always up for another one of your interesting family stories, they always seem to bring back similar memories for me, thanks for that❤. I too love Daphnes Diary, I first discovered it at Sams Club of all places 😀. Best hobby for me is any fiber arts creativity, but mostly quilting and stitching. It is hard to pick my favorite hobby- cross stitching beats out reading by a narrow margin. Embroidery is up there, too. The green and blue bags were lovely!! Keep stitching!!

I’ve quilted for about 40 years, came back to stitching and now I can’t get enough of that! The green or blue bag would be great for one of my projects.
The little heart pin cushion would look cute hanging on your tomato jar. A piece of twine tied around the jar top then tied in a bow would be the hanger. I started doing cross stitch last August. It's my current favorite hobby. I also sew, quilt, do wool applique, crochet, paint and garden. Visiting thrift stores looking for treasures is also fun. Green & Blue
Those bags are so beautiful. My colors are blue and green, and my favorite hobby of cross-stitch usually includes items that include these colors, ocean, sky, mountains. I loved the little tricycle. I also loved the quote stitched onto the pillow.

My number one hobby is of course stitching, and then next to that is reading and I guess you might say that watching floss tubers has now also become a hobby because there are some of you I just don’t want to miss.
