This might be the most humanized Samus has ever been in the Metroid series. Prime 3 was the game that introduced all of these new characters for Samus to interact with, only for them to succumb to their Corruption.
We now know why Samus works alone: Rundas.
I remember after finally beating him being like "okay he's back maybe we can fight side by side" then a giant icicle just stabs him and i'm left speechless...
I love this game so much, it was my first Metroid game and it brings me so much nostalgia. The music is amazing and I loved the motion controls

I remember playing and liking MP3, but unlike the first two, I can’t remember hardly anything about it. Oh it had touch controls, I remember that.
we are lucky metroid dread didn't show up when it was suppose to because with it being released on switch it's just so gorgeous. I think it's a win that Dread came out with a later gen console.

Samus Aran to me is one of the most badass characters in gaming that still cares and shows passion in her own way, after all she is a soldier. She can enter any planet without fear because she knows there's nothing that can actually faze her.
I relate a lot with what that trav guy said. Super Metroid was one of the first video games I ever played as a kid. I remember my grandpa had a SNES with only a few games, including Mario World, Final Fantasy, and Super Metroid. After the vibrant worlds of Mario and other games I was used to like Pokemon, seeing the muted, lonely atmosphere of Metroid captivated me, but also creeped me out as a kid. My favorite thing about games from those days was the pixel art. It really shined in places like caves; there was just this creepiness to regular cave walls that a more realistic art style can't recreate
Beat this game on hypermode difficulty earlier this year and enjoyed it so much more than my first play through (although some bosses are way too hard on hypermode, looking at you mogenar). There's definitely a lot to appreciate about this game I didn't appreciate on my first play through and I think it's one that most people could benefit from a replay of.

That suit is called a PED? It's official: Samus is on PEDs in Prime 3. We'll have to put an asterisk on this adventure. Remember kids: winners don't do drugs.
I got this game as a birthday present, and may be the first Metroid game I got at launch. Prime and Super were well established as my favorite games of all-time by that point, so I was excited. After being underwhelmed by parts of Echoes, I found Corruption to be a refreshing change of the formula. Like you say, I don't want Prime 4 to be like 3 (I'm hoping it can recapture the essence of the first Prime), it's still a great game and an interesting take on the series' tropes.
Anyway, great review! I'm looking forward to your Dread review to close out Metroid Month 2!

It might be a small detail , but the moment the space pirates attack at the beginning of the game, you can save a soldier from getting sucked into the vacumm of space my shooting a lever.

Well, i bought a GC to play Metroid Prime, and i repeated it with the Wii. MPrime 3 is to me the most fun to play in the series, all that motion stuff made me open a smile from the beggining to the end (yes i like motion controllers), however this game is the easiest of the franchise, final boss? Never heard of it, it was so easy that i didn't even consider it a challenge (and if you use the screw attack it'll be the most dumb boss in the entire series) 9/10
Why didn’t you get prime trilogy it has all 3 prime games other than hunters
@@Omelander i had played prime 1 and 2 not long before 3 so i didn't need to play the trilogy on wii. But i tested the new gamplay in the first two titles
@@MarcosBay_ oh ok because if you just got a GameCube to play 1 and 2 and then bought a Wii with 3 right after that’s a dumb move
