Seeing you guys use scarpet features could give a really big boost to them. Some of them are pretty modded like as well There was a storage drawers system a while back.
Except it doesn't. It was only during the main showcase part of how the map is initially loaded and so on that it happened. It didn't happen at the start of the video in the nether, nor at the end of the video in the end.
@@PotatoSofi It's not hard but it's time consuming to do it by hand, and it's very hard to automate it, you can't just tell your editing program "Take the chewing sound and every time it's detected and ends, the music changes" you need to actually write code to do it, not every chewing sound is the same, audio differs in volume and compression makes it hard to detect a specific sound, and after all of that you'll need to go through the video and make sure it's good and manually fix errors
is great, now that minecraft has those custom dimensions i would like to see a way to make a "nexus" like dimension, the way the nether works now but more focused on that. this map idea is basically it but on the same dimension.
Yeah moving this into a new custom dimension would make things much more useful , and remove the chance of player interference. Edit: this would also let you prevent mob spawning and other games rules while in the hub, additionally a hub world could support all other dimensions in 1 hub world (in theory) as long as the scaling was 1:4 and you could retrieve the data/generation of the separate dimensions.
@@PotatoSofi I don't think it would be any worse than just having a far away region. The main reason the extra dimensions are bad is that the game needs to load the region all around the player, and all the mobs, which have separate caps per dimension.
Looks like there's a small mistake in the video description, the link for the music is saying "Orchestral Suite no. 3 in D major" while it's directing at "Orchestral Suite no. 2 in B minor" ^^ But everything else is perfect and very interesting as usual ♥
hi gnembon, after following your vids for quite some time now, i finally subscribed, which normally i never do (exept rare music channels).. definetly one of the most underrated more known channels @minecraft. your a proper genius. built loads of your stuff and i got to say, you're next level! keep up the good work. good to have you around. and ofc we all love the classical background music :) props!
Here’s an idea: A second “Underground/Underwater” layer of the map, located a few blocks under the main map, that shows structures that are under Y=40. That way, things like mineshafts wouldn’t have to take up space on the main map, and you would also be able to see things like shipwrecks under the glass in ocean biomes, which would be really cool.
Cheers for giving the guys at Heroes Orchestra some exposure. Those games had incredible music, and Heroes Orchestra does an incredible job of making live orchestra arrangements of it.
Incredible. Thank you for your continuous efforts to develop amazing tools that can be used by Minecraft community, it's truly appreciated. Keep being awesome, gnembon.
Now that you can add new Dimensions, with the new update, you can move the maps in their own MAP DIMENSIONS .... This has a number of benefits, 1) U can now use the space in the nether which was being taken up by the map, also true for the other dimensions 2) U can not worry about running into the map area by mistake in your game play 3) A better way to travel between the map dimensions and the original dimensions can now be implemented - my suggestion is a map item which has been renamed to something, and you can right click to teleport between the dimensions. Also this can be implemented such that it takes bottles of enchanting in order to travel between the map dimensions. 4) this is will be better optimized, and less buggy due to how minecraft renders dimensions. 5) you can make it such that there is no mob Griefing in the map dimension or make that dimension peaceful. 6) also the map dimension coordinated can be scaled to match the over world coordinates. PLEASE MAKE THIS HAPPEN THIS WILL BE THE BEST THING THAT HAS EVER HAPPENED TO THE MODDING COMMUNITY
Imagine using reaching y=1023 as a trigger to teleport to the map area at y=255, and reaching y=127 in the map area as a trigger to teleport to the normal chunks at y=255 Or just using this as an LoD mod to render an approximation of chunks that are far away This is amazing
I would really like them to rework the current map system we got. Sure those maps are great to look at, but are very limited. You rarely ever carry a map with you, so they are just statically. Wouldn't it be nice if you could just open a ingame map that shows all the areas that you have mapped with normal maps? Even more so, this feature could be serverwide, so everyone could increase the map and it could also be updated all the time. Heck, you might even add waypoints to it for others to see.
Something like the minimap mods that already exist would be amazing. The only purpose that maps serve now is to make a giant world map to put on a wall, nobody actually uses them for navigation.
@@fl4shbangz I went through and mapped out a huge area around my base and added banner waypoints color coded to interesting structures. I use it all the time.

I do not like videos on you tube very much but you got a like. Thanks you for making this i'm sure it was a lot of work. And have wanted this since I seen it in your nether video. Wanted to make a base in the nether with 4 fogs/bios right beside each other and was very difficult to look for. With this it will be so much easier to find. And i'm sure I will find many more ways to use this great tool. thanks again keep up the great work.
Make a "growing" potion that makes you a giant that can walk huge distances with a single step! And then a complimentary shrinking potion. It would be less convenient, but it would make more sense and could be cooler.
#1 reason: There is no amidst for 1.16, lol. Gnembon, you caught me at just the point that I was desparately needing a mapping tool. You madlad. You genius.
I actually imagined something close when I saw from Hermitcrafts the nether roof as hub. My thought was exactly "it's so empty, why not to clear the fog and decorate the floor with the corresponding pixels of the 1:16 map so that you move above the nether roof with a clear idea of where you'll be going to get out in the Overworld?" "Because u need a block AND an antispawn like a carpet or so, for every single pixel, it's a mess to do but yeah could be pretty cool." Hello!
i love how music changes when he teleport between the map and the actual world
Some final fantasy vi vibes
it was tripping me out for a little bit at first
250th like :)
The overworld music is called "orchestral suite" by J.S. Bach, i had a music exam the other week :)
It's a nice touch. Made me laugh for some reason
Can we respect that this man edited a music change for every transfer in this whole video?

When the custom Dimensions are further improved, would you be able to store the map inside a separate dimension instead of in the overworld?
I agree
Yes! That's an absolutely AMAZING idea!
My first thoughts too
Well... You'd need 3 extra dimensions, isn't that bad for the server-side?
@@PotatoSofi I don't think it would be any worse than just having a far away region.
